Post-match: Southampton Home

Southampton aren't a bad team, we had an off night. We got three points. Job Done.

Absolutely shite second half. Is Cleverley that important to us nowadays? Ando looked very poor.

Poor display in the second half. Wrong decisions on the pitch never looked like keeping the ball and run ragged...

Scary.. But a good test for when we play Madrid.

We were great in the first half and abysmal in the second.

Very Very frustrating.

Limped to the win.

Dreadful second half performance but we got the win and the lead is back to 7 points which is nice.

Not sure why we didn't bring on Cleverley

It's like Southampton went into the United dressing room at half time and took all our powers like it was Space Jam. Utterly shite 2nd half. No composure and no bite in the middle.

Considering rentboys and the bitters have just drawn.....job done 3 points

Poor performances from many players, but that pitch will cost United the league.

They pressed us; we setup and played as if they'd roll over and giveup.

Shit on a stick I'll take the 3 points and run

One of the worst performances of the season. Southampton deserved a draw, probably a win. But!.. Grinding out wins is a mark of Champions.

We are playing best with two wide wingers in a sort of old 442, like it or not. Please end this narrow bullshit.

I literally couldn't give a feck about performances now. We have the lead in the title race and we're counting off the games.

9 more wins to a championship IMO.

3 points baby

We had an off day.. we've been alright recently.. so its not a huge problem.
Got the important 3 points.

The performance will get better..

How many games this season have we only won by a goal? How many games have we been hanging on in injury time? No complaints when its against the big teams but we will get caught out sooner or later against one of the weaker teams if we keep given them chances.

We were very poor and so nervy.

The team and tactics were fine, the players should have done a lot better.

extremely relieved and in the end delighted with the win. After that performance that is all that matters

Poor display in the second half. Wrong decisions on the pitch never looked like keeping the ball and run ragged...

Scary.. But a good test for when we play Madrid.

If we play like that against Madrid then it's game over.

That was a fecking disgrace, did not help either that we appeared to be playing on the Yorkshire Moors!

Good first half but what the feck happened in the second? Ando was crap and probably more importantly Carrick wasn't that great/have many options in midfield. I really don't understand why we didn't stick on Cleverley when we were struggling so much to keep the ball.

Second half was embarrassing. Anderson in particular was a non entity. It's scary to think this is what happens when we're pressed by a team like Southampton.

Glad we used the exact same strategy that failed us at Tottenham. Oh well, it was terrible but we won.

I still don't understand why Sir Alex wants to take out all of our good passers and not replace them with anyone that can pass. It's key going to continuously lead to this hoof ball.

I didnt expect a hammering and am delighted with another win. but that was one of the least satisfying wins i have ever endured. the amount of times we say it and still they never seem to learn. sit back and invite average teams onto you and you will get matched. its as simple as that. never even saw van persie. best striker in the league, and just didnt use him. awful performance in the 2nd half and cost many points last season. literally hung on, and not for 3 minutes, for about 25 we were thumping the ball out of the box and waiting for it to come back in a way not seen since we held on in the semi final in 2008. really disappointed that there didnt seem to be an understanding that we could go 7 points clear and if its down to nerves this early in the year then we can expect a similar end to last season.

bottom line, need to see the ruthless united again, its been far too long.
