What Shane does is Shane's business, by the way. Shane does not instruct me on who to PM, nor do I interfere with his methods of communication. 95% of my PMs are to Noodles or Jason, both of whom I have a wild crush on.

To try and stop the inter forum crap that has been going on with RR it might be an idea not to go running over to RR with news of bannings and your gripes about RC....what goes on here should have no bearing on RR and equally what goes on there should stay there.

RR is now home to some people who don't like what RC has to offer....fine.

Others seem to be able to use both sites without any trouble....even better.

What does neither forum any good is the constant bickering/rivalry/moaning and tit for tat attacks on RR or RC.

I think your post did nothing to help bring harmony.
 
On a side note, have my PMs been monitored this year? I was under the impression this was impossible, but apparently not. But otherwise, how would anyone know I sent a few PMs to Newbies earlier in the year welcoming them to the Caf? I don't honestly think one would find anything of particular interest in any of my PMs. Or my posts for that matter.

My PMs have also been removed, all I did was insult a couple of newbs, chelsea fans n'all.

I think it's possible to see who someone's sending a PM to, if you happen to be looking at their profile or the who's online page at the time they're sending it

Babs, you could have sent one of the mods a PM if you felt the bannings were harsh. Er, obviously you can't now though.

Even I wanted to start a topic about Alonso' banning. But It would have been closed or I would have gotten banned as well.
I really dont see how alonso was shit stirring, loads of people take the piss like he was with closed topics subjects.

That's because the threads always end up being mud slinging contests. They never get anywhere, it just winds everyone up and we all end up going round in a big, gay circle

Yes I did ban Veng, because his membership here was quite pointless, all he has done for over a month is come and shit stir. He doesn't contibute anything to the site in any other capacity. He should be happy.

Babs, it is possible to read your PMs, but not my the admin or mods. Only by the God. Their very name is misleading, they should be called "Personal Messages", not "Private Messages". They are not encrypted in the database, so anyone with access to it can read them. Only one person could do that however.

It's rubbish. In that past many bannings have been questioned and in the process people have had arguments with MODs as well. Nowdays it is not even allowed to question MODs. All the PM thing is shit, may be Alonso should have been warned via PM before getting banned.
Also I recall some MOD saying every banning is discussed in the MODs room, doesn't seem like it. It appears MODs refuse to challenge each other's decission. When Sultan was made a MOD, I though atleast he would right some of the mistakes by others but seems like he doesn't want to go through that trouble.
And NO, before any MOD gets paranoid this not me shit stirring just expressing my opinion.

I think all bannings are discussed to some extent in the mod room, certainly the ones that are made an issue of.
It's not a case of not being able to question the mods. We're just people who happen to help run the site, not overlords
The reason I say send a PM is because all of the threads on these subjects atm, just decend into cretinous bickering. As a result, no one gets anywhere

I was just suggesting what might be a better approach
 
When i am at work, the caf lags like hell for me. Everything takes ages to load, Its the only site that does it and it never used to, any ideas?
