Pop up Ad on iPhone | Please post details like redirect URLs, screenshots,

This happened to me on another website aswell, may have been the dailymail. I am now wondering if the problem is on my phone?

So since this banner at the bottom of the page started, every so often the whole page starts scrolling down, bit by bit.

Anyone else?

Any updates? I still get these ads for every 2nd or 3rd click i make on the site on mobile. It’s almost unusable in this state.

This happened today

Also, another issue that I face is when I first open the site and any link I press, be it for a thread or a tab on the home page, it goes to an ad site. Today it went to this site:

Is it a chrome issue at my end?

I get this as well, all the time lately. Very annoying. On Safari.
same. Currently advertising a brand of TV. The most annoying thing is that the “x” to close it intermittently either works or -redirects your browser-. I went through their “unsubscribe” process to no effect. @Niall this is putting me and it looks like some others off using redcafe, don’t mind adverts but when they’re sneakily making it so people can’t even close them it gets a bit frustrating to use the forum.

I keep getting redirected to open something via the Apple app Store. It opens 1 or 2 tabs each time and I just cancel each one and it takes me to the RedCafe homepage.

Only happening on this website.

iPhone, Safari.

I keep getting redirected to a "you have a virus on your phone" or "congratulations amazon user, spin the wheel to claim your prize" pop-up. No other site I use does this but with redcafe it happens within a few moments of viewing a page

Any further details - screenshots, URLs redirected to? Then I can try and block those dodgy ads.

I have been getting this one (just goes to the LG website) for about a month. Its nearly always active

It really gets in the way, but its been mentioned before so maybe its one the staff are ok with

Just a general observation, not about the LG one in particular. Most of the ads are context/location/browser history etc sensitive, so some of them are only seen by a handful of users.

Without the screen captures, URLs if redirected, descriptions of the behaviour (like no X to close, X doesn't close, closes then reopens, or whatever) etc they're really hard for Niall to pin down and complain about/block. Hence why the details are such a big deal, and much appreciated, in this.

I’ve switched to chrome and so far it’s not happened (the pop up ads) so it seems to be some issue with the way individual browsers handle invasive ads? With safari the site is unusable with my iPhone on 4g.

Chrome so far so good.

I've had this weird redirect ad showing up on my browser - I had incorrectly posted it in the wrong thread and @Damien pointed me to this thread.
Thanks, will do the next time I see the ad.

Edit: I'm on Safari on my mac, I assume the same thread holds good for that too;

A similar redirect happened today - this time on Chrome/Windows in incognito mode before I logged in to the caf. Here's the chain of events:
1. As usual, I open up "redcafe.net" on my browser (this time it was Chrome/windows, previously I was on Safari/Mac)
2. I tried to click on the first thread under the forums tab (this time it was the "Transfer Window Closing Earlier in England" thread that was on top)
3. The second I clicked on it, I got the first popunder ad (image below)
4. Clicked on it again and a similar page opened up but the ad ID was different.
5. Went over to the Log in section of the screen and got the same ad 2 more times before letting me log in.

These are the links that opened up while trying to log in (step 5 above)

I've seen this kind of ad twice on 2 different machines - first on my mac and today on the pc. I thought this could be an issue with my browser/computer - so I ran MalwareBytes program and nothing was found.

Funnily enough I was getting the same annoying ad banner the last couple of weeks when I was in the US. Now I'm back in Italy it's gone.

Happened again. This time on Safari/Mac. Here are the links that open up. Most of them want me to download/update flash (lol). There probably were 2 more similar instances but I couldn't get the link all the time.

The caf is not becoming like those shady sites that have tons of pop ups. Had to enable Adblocker (ublock origin but even then I'm getting these popups)

I’m constantly getting a ‘congratulations you’ve won an iPhone, click ok to claim’ it’s only on the caf though and not any other windows I have open. Anyone else getting this? It’s on an iPad with safari

Yes, ive had that 3 times in the last two days and with same device and browser.

Turned into a massive issue for my on my iPhone SE and Safari. Have been freaking out thinking it was my phone (virus, malware etc) - until I saw this thread.

Hard to even reply.

So since this banner at the bottom of the page started, every so often the whole page starts scrolling down, bit by bit.

Anyone else?
This has started again today.

Thanks for the reports, looking into it.
