Pool sign Anelka!!!

I'll give you the statitics.
You can laugh about Wiltord, but without him, no European crown for France.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Wiltord is as bad as guivarch.

Anelka has class.. at his best, he's better than Henry. We'll have to wait and see whether he reproduces his best for LIverpool.

Nic Anelka and Michael Owen can not play together up front.

First of all, language will of course be a problem. The two can not communicate at all and I don't think Owen wants to.

Also, Owen is a firm fans favourite while Anelka has to convince the fans and that will take some doing, pressure might get to him and he will start being greedy.

They are fast granted but you can't see Pool creating too many chances - the long through ball will be their only tactic.

I just can't see both together - Anelka is obviously a replacement for Fowler - a back up, Heskey and Owen are still first choice.

But a good move from Liverpool and time will tell what happens.

It is clear GM are not going to loan money out to anybody for nothing...there MUST be a cost to LFC.
I argue it is poor business management to take on any debt if the need is not there - LFC is not run by incompetent people so therefore there must be a need...ie lack of money!

AC Milan aren't in for Cisse as far as I know.

Blanc kinda retired. I suppose Dugarry and Djorkaeff would have a word with that selection. And Cisse? Let's play LeTallec while we're at it.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Cisse is in the same predicament as Henry was when he was used sparingly 4 years ago. France would be idiots not to use him.

Raoul, do you think France would be better off to use the more tried Henry and Trezeguet?

To be honest I don't expect Cisse to be a reglular for France until Euro2004, but he is certainly the most promising of the French Strikers, and rather have him than Anelka.

France will probably go with Trezeguet and Henry. Whether Cisse makes it will likely hinge on how Anelka does with the bindippers for the rest of the year, and whether Auxerre can challenge for the French title and make the CL.
Right now as it stands, Anelka has 2 goals and Cisse leads the league with 11, despite having missed a month due to an ankle injury.

Same with Trezeguet.

I have always rated David Trezeguet - I remember his 110 MPH shot against Manchester United in the Champions League in 1998 - incredible.

Since he moved to Juventus there has been much pressure and didn't settle in at first but is now one of their best - he and Del Piero up front are amazing.</strong><hr></blockquote>

I've never said the contrary !! I've always rated him, even when people were criticizing him when he had a hard time a few months after the world cup.

Anelka is not better than Henry. And Henry has a better attitude than him, he works harder. Anyway I don't like moaning players, he never smiles on the pitch.

As for Wiltord, he's not bad, but he has the same problem as Yorke. He likes to live it up a little too much, is late at training too often, etc...
But ask Roy Carroll if he thinks Wiltord is bad.

The problem is that you English people only judge players for what they do in the Premiership. What they have done in France, Italy and Spain
doesn't exist for you. Anelka was only good in England. Henry was good in France when he played for Monaco. He played out of position in Italy, where he hasn't stayed long.

Trezeguet is like Ole for United : the super sub. Obviously he suffers from that. But he has played more the last games. Apparently, Lemerre prefers a Dugarry-Henry combination. And before someone replies to me "Dugarry is shit", it's LEMERRE choice, not mine.

Suedesi, here are the statistics for 2001-2002 (4 games played)
Anelka :1 game as a sub
Dugarry : 1 game as a first team player
Henry : 2 games as a first team player, 1 as a sub
Trezeguet : 3 games as a first team player, 1 as a sub
Wiltord : 2 games as a first team player, 2 games as a sub
Marlet : 2 games as a sub
Robert and Cisse : not called

For the record Anelka has scored 6 goals in 27 games with France, Trzeguet 17 in 33 games, Henry 11 in 32, Wiltord 12 in 35.

potential. Anelka is 'potentially' better than Henry.....

That's subjective. I think Henry is more complete. He can play on the right, on the center. Anelka has great physical possibilities, but he knows only one way to play and score.

Did i say for nothing, its an extremly low APR compared to the amount of interest Liverpool would gain by simply depositing it in a bank account , and the only reason they are doing this is to enhance thier reputation amongst European clubs before entering the market for European Football finance. you have a pop at Softy yet your the one coming up with these unfounded assumptions

Yes, and it surely helps us...We share that with England. Although Germany, Italy or Spain have only white players and their teams are good too...
The French team just shows the French society of today...because most of those black and arab players were born French. You know, it doesn't please everyone. The National Front says it's not a French team. Concerning Anelka and Henry, they're from West Indies, a French department.

OK, you have one player...You can't compare this situation with the situation of the French team. Probably it's just a debut.

it wins u the WC and EC, without them u'd fail to beat the Congo.

concerning Henry, Thuram and Anelka, they're still black, i didn't imply that they were from Africa.

Yes but the French society is like this, so it's the French team.

The Leeds supporter who claimed Liverpool haven't got any money is talking out of his arse... Including the loan from GM, Liverpool now have a total debt of £34 million. Well, Liverpool have also got around £45 million in the bank now (including the money from selling Fowler and the new loan). Leeds have a total debt of £105 million and less than £10 million in the bank....

Yeah cuz Juve had that dickfeck of Inzaghi crying his eyes out everytime he was send to the bench.

Incredibly Juve didn't put up with Vialli, Ravanelli, Boksic (all in their prime), Vieri for more than a year... but instead had Inzaghi for 3 fecking years.

O tempora o mores

The offer was made last month, but they can spend the money as and when they want to. For instance to buy Anelka or any other striker in the summer...

Not so complicated is it?
