Gaming Pokémon Go (Android, iOS)

Anyone managed to hatch a Sandile? Must have done the best part of 50 of these new 12km eggs and still not got one.

Had to give this up a few years ago as I had to downgrade my phone, but is there any disadvantage to turning up a fresh his late? Hatching them eggs was a huge motivator for my daily jogs

I stopped playing for two years as it had become stale. When I went back on I had three generations to catch up on, so it was a lot more of a challenge. I'd give it another go.

Yeah, definatley thinking about, sounds like alot more has been added in since I played. Raids, battles ect

Can you trade now?

Think I'm addicted again, after not playing properly for a few years. Been playing every day again, now that I'm working in the city again. It helps that their are a few gyms within a short walk from the office.

Hey all, didn't realize so many of you still play, have been grinding to make level 40 before the end of the year and currently around 3m/5m at level 39.

I’m on 3/4 and still waiting on Meowth balloon for Jesse/James. They either don’t turn up or I get a grunt instead.

The last balloon came up while I was walking my dog so it was a bit awkward walking him and trying to beat Jessie and James before the balloon disappeared. Missed catching the shadow Pokemon but it was worth it.

Yep, exactly the same for me. Yet to see the balloon.
Remember, they refresh every 6 hours - 12pm, 6pm, 12am, 6am - and I think it helps to have the Rocket Radar (if you use it) switched off.

And also you get Jessie then James at 1 balloon which does help. I thought you'd have to face them together 4 times. So you only need 2 balloons. I did get 1 at 6pm so 1 more over 2 days should be enough time.

Yep. I got mine at 12pm and 6pm today so not bad. You should definitely get another one in time.

They turned up earlier on. My shiny Celebi is about as shit as it could possibly be though! IVs are at the lowest end for a research catch.

It's a mythical pokemon, can't trade mythics.

I'm still waiting for one more balloon. Event ends today so if it's not on the next one I'll have to wait until the next Jesse and James event.
Damn didn't know. I thought you could through pokemon home.

You can't transfer pokemon from home into Pokemon Go. Maybe they'll change it later and let you trade mythical pokemon.

No Jesse and James balloon on my last one, only saw two the whole time. Heard loads of people struggle to get them, maybe they screwed up and they'll extend the time you can see them.

Yep to all the above. I'm stuck with a shite one, but it's no problem, I'm just still chasing an elusive shiny hundo.

Morning troops, looking for some advice. I am absolutely useless at the legendary raids and stuff like that, normally just use Go for walking around catching pokemon and hatching eggs and stuff. But the recent celebration tasks involve catching 2 Kyogre and 2 Groudon, which upon completion then lead to the chance to catch Rayquaza. I'd quite like to do this but as I say I am crap at the legendary raids and stuff.

Does anyone have any advice on how to better stand a chance at completing these? I think I may already be friends with some of you, username is JamboFulton.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm in the same situation. Think best bet is to group up with a few people online and do a remote raid. Getting the number of people is the hard bit.

Aye it seems really difficult getting a good number of people together to do it. How do you do the remote raid like that, select one when it is the right pokemon and then invite people or something? Not done it before.

I think so.

Just found a solution - https://discord.gg/pokemon

Scroll down to go_raids, react to the message then look in go_raid_hosting and add someone who is hosting a raid. Just tried it and got into a Kyogre raid pretty fast. Was absolutely awful at it as I don't have that many strong Pokemon but there were plenty there who did. Caught the Kyogre (hosted from Vietnam!)

What level are you? If you're lower than 30 you'll probably have difficulty getting into one but it is worth a try.

Fantastic! Cheers man, I am level 34 with some strong Pokemon so will check it out right now! Thank you!

Do any of you guys know anything about pokemon cards?

I've just found my original ones after about 20 years and been looking online at the prices of shiny ones and I think I may have a small fortune but how do I know for sure?

@Damien brilliant tip that man. Cheers :)
No worries.

A better question for the Strumfest thread: https://www.redcafe.net/threads/pokémon-strumfest.378225/

@Vidic_In_Moscow, @Havak and @Snowjoe are the ones to ask. I've been looking at this thread on ResetERA so signing up and posting on there might be another option. I've got a crapload of stuff including 1st Edition Team Rocket set but is a long process to take enough photos to post.
