That doesn't excuse Pogba at all.
It doesn't but managers are supposed to lead by example.

I agree with this. When Mourinho does use Fellaini its normally to protect the back four aerially and to give us more presence on dead balls/crosses. Sometimes he gets thrown up front at the end of games or he plays a bit higher on the pitch against pressing teams as City or Liverpool to be an outlet to beat the press. But especially when he starts its normally for defensive purposes and he has to play further back to accomplish this. That’s where I disagree. When we bring him on perhaps it’s a long ball last resort but when he starts I don’t believe we play to hit fellaini long. Whether he’s on pitch or not we don’t typically play from back as de geas passing stats show. I personally think every weakness in his game is exaggerated to levels bigger than lukakus bad first touch and Ferguson’s notorious ‘limited tactics’. Some United fans are specialists in exaggeration when it comes to criticisms of our own.
It’s either that or he never mentioned “months” in the quote as has been said by the French posters on here. Feel sorry for Pogba. He’s getting battered now over something he either never said or has been taken out of context.
No and yes for me. I don't feel bad for him as I don't think he has handled this whole thing well overall but yes at the same time he should not be getting crap for these quotes being twisted, that's not right.
Nah, let's slag our own player in a friendly that we did not watch.22 pages for that "interview" . Please god, let the proper football start again.

Except Pogba threw his toys away and fecked off when Ferguson was in charge too.
It doesn't but managers are supposed to lead by example.
It doesn't but it sets a tone. That doesn't excuse Pogba at all.
Marcotti speaks really well here.
To be fair Mourinho hasn’t been cryptic about his future...He’s always maintained that he will stay as long as the club wants him to stay....Well you can say Pogba is following his manager's example when he's giving those kind of cryptic statements to the media.
People are getting very angry over stuff Pogba didn't say. What's happening in this thread? I can't be bothered wading through all the drama queens.

Lukaku for sure. Maybe Young. Maybe Pogba. What about De Gea? I wonder.Their was an article in the Daily mail they got an interview with John Terry. He stated that Jose came in one training session and said to him that if he doesn't improve he wil go out their and buy a 50million pound defender Jt said his reaction was like i played every game for you all season.
Jt said he upped his training and caught Jose smiling. He did that with JT,Drogba and Lampard. He said if jose believes your giving 100% he will be behind you 100% he also said that he thinks United lacks natural leaders.
Question is, who in this dressing room are natural leaders? Pogba? He talks too much, Matic? Herrera valencia?
Hey we don't have to agree on all points but even you can't say it's an exaggeration when I say his limited ability on the ball often makes us play with a player less in the MF.
Don't really have anything against the guy but as I said that's just my opinion.
But did he really? There have been so many stories throughout the years ranging from Raiola asking for more money for Pogna than our at that time youth upper wage limit was, to Fergie despising Raiola and not wanting to deal with him at all, to the one where Pogba felt it wasn't right for Fergie to being back Scholsey from retirement and playing Cleverly / Anderson before giving Pogba a chance.
Either way you look at it the situation won't only be bad one for Pogba if he's to leave due to him being unhappy with the manager, his antics and approach o football, he will be labeled a double failure at UTD.
But, also it will look bad on Mourinho if his star signing, a player UTD broke world record to bring, is leaving to the ever increasing rift between the two, without Mourinho ever bringing the best out of him.
Can you really trust the manager with another high profile, massive money signing if Pogba leaving comes to pass?
Pogba himself said that when scholes came back that was it. He obviously felt too good to wait and trust a man like Ferguson even back then. Best case he was manipulated by his agent which reflects really poorly on his character then and now. When pogba us performing at a level that justifies his ego then ill entertain a scenario where the player isnt to blame. I dont care if hes being managed by ronald mcdonald, the state of his performances sometimes are a reflection on him and him only.
I dont know why people are still upset with Pogba leaving last time. History and his success at Juve shows that he made the right decision for himself. No one knows what would have happened with his career had he stayed to be honest.Listen I love SAF to bits, but I won't go the route Mourinho fans are going when they refuse to acknowledge his wrongdoings. SAF should have given him more playing time.
SAF could have given him more playing time, especially since he gave plenty of game time to Anderson and Cleverly. I hold it against Pogba for leaving like that, but in one hand I also understand his reasoning.
In his eyes he probably didn't feel he's position will get any better if u take into consideration that SAF opted to bring back 38y old Scholsey from retirement (my favorite player BTW) and play Cleverly/Anderson ahead of him. That plus being really young and susceptible to his cnut manager's greed fueled influence resulted in him moving to Juventus, which again in his eyes proved to be success as his achievements can attest.
In the end of the day both Mourinho and Pogba are paid insane amounts of money to perform in club's best interest and none of them is absolved of any blame.

Did I say that? I thought this was a Pogba thread. And please come of it with top reds nonsense. And it excuses Mourinho? The double standards of the top reds is amazing. By all means denounce Pogba but look at the full picture.
So it doesn't but it does?It doesn't but managers are supposed to lead by example.
He's the one who has repeatedly said that Manchester is his home and that he is United through and through, we aren't making things up. He sold us the idea that he would become the leader of the new face of Manchester United and so far has failed to deliver.People need to come to terms with the reality that Pogba doesn't bleed red. He's just another very talented player with a money hunting agent who will move to the best bidder when the opportunity comes. This is not necessarily a bad thing. It's just what modern day football has become. That breed of genuine 'club men' is dying fast. I think if fans get the right perception of Pogba rather than the utopian idea of 'the prodigal son returns home', their attitude towards him might just mellow a bit. So, basically, I am betting that if Pogba is offered as much money as Alexis, he and his agent will be happy for him to remain at United.
The club should allow him to leave. It would be good for the club, the fans and for Pogba.
But you can't hope to see him leave while wanting a WC record fee. It's just silly.
He produced more assists than the football God that is KDB. And that's in a conservative side that operates without a right winger!
We are lucky to have him. Our only world class player.
TBF most of these assists were passes to someone outside the box who shot it and a goal. Not assists in terms of cutting the defense by a through pass. Assists like Lingard vs Everton, Martial vs Everton, Valencia vs Stoke, Rashford vs Stoke ..etc. Rooney in his last season here had 10 assists but all were in the same category as Paul's ones last season.
He also had so many outrageous passes completely wasted by our forwards both last year and the year before.
He is one of the best long passers in the world. With city's movement he would rack up 25 assists a season.
He's the only player in the world expected to dominate defensively and attacking all at the same time.
The world cup proved it - surround him with class and the highest honours can be won.
It's true. People get angry at him for trying to split defenses when it doesn't work, which is strange because without trying, how else can he do that? At the same time they want him to score and assist like a world class winger. They want him to run the game like Modric or Scholes. They want him to be a leader on the pitch like Roy Keane.Unno he's expected to be disciplined, not take risks, keep it simple, track back, defend while racking up 20 goals and 20 assists. Lol

Am I missing anything else? Oh, they also want him to stop with his haircuts and dancing. They want his agent to stop being loyal to Pogba and tell him to shut up because he insults a pundit who currently has nothing to do with United. They want him to answer questions in a way where the media doesn't misconstrue what he's said.
If he doesn't do that he needs to leave the club even if he's better than his fellow midfielders. Apparently we need more players that are not as good as him, but live up to their low transfer fee, relatively speaking. Because as long as they live up to their small transfer fees, their actual in game performances aren't as important. Apparently we're supposed to compete for the biggest trophies with those kind of players rather than more talented players like Pogba.
