Pogba: "We Should Attack, Attack, Attack!"

Didn't he also say he made the error for the wolves goal

Honesty can curry favour with fans.

How, as a player, does saying something like this publicly rather than internally help the situation? Other than to protect oneself.

Unless he’s so exasperated by the situation that he feels this is the only way to illicit change. Which could also be true.

Well after 2 years of non attacking football....

If he's got the balls to question the tactics after the games why doesn't he do something about it in games.

When someone makes subliminal remarks about the manager it's clear he doesn't fear being reprimanded.

I guess you're forgetting him arguing with Jose on the sidelines in a few games last season?

It seems inevitable he will leave in the summer. My only question is who the feck do we replace him with? I don't see any option out there that would be an improvement.

I'm at a point that saying hopefully all 3 of him, Mourinho and Sanchez feck off in summer.

Can't withstand this poisonous circus anymore. Quality can feck off. I want my club back and not this circus the 3 have been bringing.

Pogba's comments are absolutely spot on lol,I can imagine Mourinho losing it over them though

Oh joy. More gossip. Why can't players just play and managers manage?

Pogba might be better just going ahead with it. I am guessing he is the leader in the dressing room so others share the opinion. If they take it on themselves to attack and turn draws into wins and get fans onside with their spirit and adventure then Mourinho can take credit for it and everyone is happy. Maybe Mourinho will see the light in terms of how United should play.

Unless of course Pogba and co are playing the long game and want him gone in which case (like Moyes) the apathy will prolong.

Without proper tactical setup / coaching it isn't going to work. You will just look like how we look when we try to attack teams now, an un coached side.
Plus we have seen what happens when you don't do what Jose wants. Pogba was benched last season after those "discussions" with Jose on the touchline. If you're not doing what the manager wants you won't play. Its that simple. Just look at Martial

In his mind its probably him or Jose, he wants out if the manager stays beyond this season i'd guess. I'd rather see Jose walk than lose Pogba, Martial and possibly even Shaw so i'm glad he's said this. We are playing outdated conservative minded football, the manager still doesn't know his best team or tactics and we are obviously poorly coached in the attacking third and not getting the best out of the good players we have, very player we sign instantly turns to sh*te in this setup (Sanchez anyone ?). Time to take a chance on a change someone who the players can at least get behind and who is a positive influence. Look what Klopp has done with a squad no better than ours on paper, Pool are going from strength to strength and we are sinking fast. Things will only get worse with Jose from here on in you can count on that - i suspect top four isn't going to happen especially if the players are starting to get sick of the tactics - so why prolong the agony.

The way he keeps saying 'I'm just a player' makes it pretty clear its a tactical issue. Good. This gives me hope that we would return to attacking football under a different manager.

The lack of effort Jose moaned about this week could be a reflection of some of the players just not being willing to put in 100% for him - Pogba included.
Lets face it the better they do the longer they will be stuck with a manager a number of them seem to dislike - if they get top 4 this season Jose probably stays - maybe from their perspective better not to ??

Yes Pogba lad, tell em. Next thing he should say is the board should sack our incompetent manager. Do it Paul

He's right. He was more useful in attack then the rest of our other front 3 combined - including the 2 subs. Must be a piss take going from playing with the likes of Mbappe and Griezman to the likes of Sanchez, Lingard, Martial, Rashford and Mata.

Maybe for every other player not named Paul Pogba, and Jose knows that.

No way will Jose stay with top 4 only. The board will, rightly or wrongly, be expecting a proper challenge after the money he's spent and the time he's had to assemble his squad. A top 4 finish will ensure a mutual parting of ways, and not much else.

The key to Jose's future, IMO, will be the January transfer window. If he gets backed, I think it's safe to say he'll have stabilised the situation and he'll be here for the foreseeable. If he's not, then he's a dead man walking.

Agree with Pogba 100%.
Manchester United was not built on caution & negativity but exuberance and flair.
Busby knew it, so did Tommy Doc for all his faults , big Ron and of course SAF.
Jose just dosn’t get this and never will.

Aww just what we needed albeit he’s right. Now Jose will make a fool of himself in the next press conference with a load of pointless stats to “prove” we do attack all the time. Can’t wait.

If the players did exactly as José wanted, then we would be winning big things. They aren't. If José did exactly as the fans and Pogba in this instance wanted, we would be well happy. We aren't. Something gotto give in this scenario, or someone, or else we're just halfassing with different compromises.

Pogba's 100% right.
If Jose best plan now is to use Fellaini and Mata to alter the course of a game we are second best in then he is obviously out of ideas and is yesterday's man.

Or he has yesteryears squad.

Seriously Pogba needs to shut the feck up, is he giving interviews after every bad game or what. How many has it been only this season?

The first squad is good enough - its the tactics and coaching to blame here.. we shouldn't need to resort to a 'past it' Mata or Plan B Fellaini in a usually failed attempt to rescue matches.

He might be a childish prick but Pogba is doing this club a favour with his comments whether he wants to stay here or not.

He doesn't give a shite how we're playing or how much we attack (just like Rooney could not have cared less how much we were spending on transfers in 2010) - this is all about engineering his move away in January/the summer.

United is the furthest thing from his mind at this point.

Pogba is a true leader. So many here see him as childish, immature etc, dont wanna use the race card as I normally hate race baiting but its gotta play a part at least. Have you listened to his pre game and half time speeches for that French team? He willed the team, inspired everyone, he gets along with everyone, has a special handshake with everyone, everyone loves him and he wants to win. He kept the French team modest but hungry at the same time. Just google it. See it for yourself. The guy is a champion for a reason. You dont give speeches like those, inspire like that if youre not a true leader, if you're immature and childish. France has many great players yet it was always Pogba that was giving a speech. Why is that? Cuz hes a leader and everyone saw him as such.

What he is doing here, he is being a great leader again. The board seems paralyzed. For some reason they just cant fire Mourinho as bad as we are. Why? They cant admit to themselves they fecked it up for the 3rd time yet they will have to face the reality.
Pogba is doing the right thing. Mourinho has been given too much time and should have been fired long time ago.
Pogba is being nothing but a great leader here.

He's completely right. As much as it's Woodie's fault that he didn't get Mourinho's players (or sack him if he didn't want to back him), Manchester United should always dominate football matches or at least try to. Under Moyes and Mourinho we have been on the back foot way too many times and that's just not right.

I don't want Mourinho sacked now. It's too early for that considering that every top manager has already got a club. But at the end of the season, regardless of whether we finish in top 4 or not, he should go.

So Mourinho thinks his attackers did not attack enough. Pogba also thinks that the attackers didn't attack.
So both manager and Pogba are on the same page?

Agree. I'm prety sure he will push for a move in summer whatever the manager appointed next season. All this is part of him absolving himself of any blame for the mess happening currently in the club before leaving imo.

Oh come on. Being a leader? He's playing to the gallery to get himself away in 3 months time. Mourinho is toast at the end of the season, regardless.

So Mourinho thinks his attackers did not attack enough. Pogba also thinks that the attackers didn't attack.
So both manager and Pogba are on the same page?

Read the quote. He said "Im not the manager" hence directly referencing Mourinho.
