He was once my second favourite player in the squad, and I genuinely believed that he was just one good season away from beating Bruno in goals and assists just over 3 years ago. I had posts and threads defending how he would eventually come good. Well, turns out that much like Sancho, I was so so wrong about Pogba. Sigh, what a tragic career of what could have been.

That we're considering a WC winner to have had an under par career should indicate how much potential he once had. Raiola destroyed his footballing career and Pogba let him.

Funny it took Ferguson 2 minutes to see who he was and got rid yet these idiots at United paid him hundreds of millions to be an absolute failure

this myth still persisting in 2023 is insane when Ferguson, Ferdinand, Evra and Pogba are all on record saying Ferguson tried to keep him to the point of sending both Rio and Evra to his house to talk him into staying.

Expecting him to come back in a few months with a massive jaw line announcing his MMA career

The anti-doping agency is not giving him enough “respect”.

On a more serious note, let’s not assume guilt before he is proven guilty. B sample still being tested.

Glad he's someone else's problem. He was a symbol of everything wrong with the club in that banter era. Not that the banter era has ended yet but at least its we're less of a meme club now than before.

On topic, what does testosterone actually do to a footballer in terms of performance? Or is it just to have quicker recovery from injury?

Glad he's not our problem anymore. Even at his peak with us he was barely worth the trouble that followed him.

Testosterone can aid in increasing muscle size and strength, endurance and the reduction of body fat content.

For a professional footballer, this translates to being able to run faster, run for longer, shrug off challenges better, jump higher in aerial duels and recover more quickly between matches.

I swear the CAF has some very bitter and miserable people that get a laugh out of people being down.

For all the issues Pogba has had, he’s playing career is still better than 90% of most pro players. Should have been better for sure, but still had a top career call things considered.

Most of us chat from our screens but have never played the game at the highest level.

Aren't most players taking testosterone? Do you think Juve was just happy to let the doctors botch their usual cover-up and give them an excuse to cancel his contract?

Some hilarious posts here.

In all seriousness this is the first time he was caught. Wonder how long it's been going on and what other high profile players have been doing it too.
This. They’re all at it.

Seems awfully convenient for Juventus. Good thing they don't have a terrible track record of doping their players to win football matches, and that Pogba was only found guilty in that match he happened to be a substitute in eh. They'd definitely not hire a formerly charged doctor to look after their players, who's their current guy again, Riccardo Agricola? He'd never have allowed this!

Honestly amazed at how his career turned out.

That debut he had vs Southampton. I thought he'd tear up the league. He's one of the most talented players we had at the club, but his application never came close to matching it. Someone like Bruno is far less talented than him, but his application and even mentality are levels above Pogba.

His career is pretty much over.

Yeh it stinks. Juventus who are ruined economically with Pogba done at the top level and on an enormous contract, seems awfully convenient they now have grounds to sack him.

Initially sure I believe that. The moment Riola started demanding numbers is when SAF completely froze him out to the point where we had that famous line up against Arsenal and he still couldn’t get a game

He could see where is head was at and wasn’t going to bow to his request

At least he can spend more time in Dubai now with his 'fitness trainers'

Probably shouldn't be discussing an ongoing case as it could put the site admin in trouble.

How would that put the site admin in trouble? This isn't a criminal case (yet), and in any case the ban on public discussion of ongoing criminal cases is a UK thing, not something that applies to most places.

The fact he hasn’t denied it speaks volumes about his level of guilt. I get why he’s done it, had a terrible few years and wanted to get back to playing at a good level and get over his injury problems.

Personally he doesn't have to do that, his representative said they're doing a counter exam to disprove those results

Without Instagram-fame he would have been just some average player without anyone paying attention.
