No-ones shelling 100m for him this summer, and without any doubt that's what it'd take.

It's next season things will get awkward, as 2 years left is a real dangerous time.

He needs to extend or be sold. I agree, I don't see Madrid shelling a 100 mill for him. But we can work a deal for player swap + cash. I would do Isco + 90 mil. Keeping him on without an extension gurantees next season he leaves for an even lower fee.

These swaps hardly ever happen.

Sanchez / Mkhy was one. Cole / Gallas, but hardly any others in 25 years in our league.

If Madrid sign Eriksen and Juventus sign Milinkovic-Savic. Is there any other team who could buy Pogba?

Jeez if he wants to go just let him feck off. If he stays you will have the same next season. You guys have a shitload of problems and sticking with someone who is angling for a transfer is asking for trouble.

De Bruyne, Aguero and Silva are quite content in Manchester and have done far more in the Premier League than Pogba could have dreamt of so don’t blame the weather or any other crap.

Quite the apples to oranges comparison when those players also play for a squad with 2 elite players at every outfield position and constantly win silverware as a result...

Quite easy to be content when you're playing for arguably the best manager in the world and always winning things

Runours of madrid interest in players swap for pogba....who would you take? (Yes i know swaps rarely go through)

Varane +£40m?
Varane + isco?
Carvahal + isco?

He's running rings around Bolivia for France right now. We'd be stupid to get rid of our best and only world class outfield player

I'm really intrigued to know how Pogba has got such a hold over a lot of our fan base! Every game I've been to at OT this season I've been left totally frustrated by his lack of desire, lack of work rate, lack of awareness and self- indulgent tripe he has served up! Get rid of the show pony

He is a very talented player. He just isn’t a great player in the sense of making everybody around him better just by his presence.

His reaction to adversity and things not going his way is obvious to one and all.

This is not a player you build around, this is a player you slip into an already functioning machine to give it that ‘something extra’

If it was my call he would go. But not for pennies, and certainly not for Barca/Madrid castoffs.

Right player, maybe even right place but as things stand currently wrong time.

I just wish i heard that after one of our games, i really do.

No need to tell me how great he is because i know he's a really talented player, but i can also see the other side of the coin.

And if he was doing that for us there wouldn’t be a problem. No one thinks he’s shit.

Which outfield player has been better since United signed him? He's had more MOTM performances than anyone else in the squad since he signed as per votes on the CAF as far as I see. As for him not rising up to adversity, isn't he the guy who saved Mourinho's career in that Newcastle comeback? He said United should be playing more attacking football at home and putting the fear of god into opponents, was he wrong?

You can equally say he was a pile of shite in the most important games this season for us. It would be nice if he put the fear of god in any team with his performances more,

It's not unfair to say that he hasn't lived up to the expectations fans had of him upon his arrival. In fact it's a fully justified position to take.

Over his career he's intermittently shown himself as capable of being a genuine match winner but has so often flattered to deceive and regularly been little better than average.

That being said perhaps trying to add some different players for him to play alongside is a risk worth taking for the new season. Maybe it will bring the best out of him but at the same time for that amount of money and the fact that he's supposedly a world class talent he should already have done a great deal better than he has so far.

Piss poor reason to keep him. Try again without the whataboutism.

And? He plays well when he feels like it not when it’s needed.

As for him not rising up to adversity, isn't he the guy who saved Mourinho's career in that Newcastle comeback?

No.

It’s not his place to second guess the manager. He shuts his mouth and does as he’s told to the best of his ability. That’s it.

I don't know, but Pogba's performance is ace. He's orchestrating everything

Brilliant performance, but it irks me somewhat. Putting himself at the front of the showroom for anybody prepared to bid and pay him more. We just don’t see enough of this PP when playing for us, turns it on for his national side though. He’ll doubtless say he’s playing with better players with France, but that is a poor excuse when he can’t turn it on to help us.

He cost us the most money and takes home the most wages. The expectation is rightfully higher for him.

He has decent to good stats for a midfielder, but they're less impressive when you factor in penalties. He also has brought an absolute circus to our door and is not without fault on the pitch.

As with Martial, I think he is capable of being better than he is and that is why i criticise him, along with what I've said above. So yes he's not the worst player in terms of performances, though sometimes (to often) he is one of them. When you factor all the good and the bad in, I don't think it looks favorable on him. This is coming from somebody that wanted him back here and defended him for a long time.

He’s our best player comfortably and I think it’s mental people want rid.

He’s surrounded by utter shite. He’d be terrifying for City or Liverpool.

His overall rating on whoscored is higher than anyone else in the team. And in a key part of the season most of our players were terrible as well. The prince Herrera wasn't even available as he was sorting his future with PSG

Right, and most people thought Keane was right for second guessing Fergie and United's ambitions with that MUTV rant where he threw his own teammates under the bus

In a nutshell, this sums everything up and the juncture we now face with him.

Do we build around a player that is capable of being great, but is very inconsistent and sometimes a liability? Or is it wiser to cash in and build again with a more balanced midfield?

The risk is that we could build a midfield of workhorses around Pogba (which is probably what he needs), but if he fails we're left with a midfield of workhorses and a player that wants out or the fans want gone. That would be a horrendous situation to end up in.

It was still impressive without the penalties for a midfielder, and he also had the most assists he's ever had in a single season

He has exceptional stats as a midfielder. Show me another comparable midfielder with better stats this season in the prem not named Eriksen. He even had better stats than golden boy De Bruyne and David Silva. Injuries? United fans will make every excuse for opposition muppet dreams

There in lies the beauty of averages. He got 2 10 ratings against Huddersfield and Bournemouth. If you look at his ratings from march, he had pretty much 1 good game.

He doesn't turn anything on. He plays the same way, maybe even better here. Just the French players doesn't waste his progressive passing. If he actually played the same way for us we will be fecked.

Varane, but may be not plus £40m extra cash. We should charge between £50m to £60m cash.
