Agree with this. I don't blame him if he had a u turn. The prospect of playing with the likes of Bruno is much different then Lingard and Pereira. Good players want to play with other good players.

How can he perform when he is injured though. When he is not injured he is still our best player last season, statistically and officially.
And let’s be fair, when the going gets tough during end of last season, none of our players is up for a fight.
I don’t like Pogba though, not for his performance, but mainly for his lack of commitment to the club and his sulking attitude. If he can improve on these 2 major issues, I don’t mind him staying.

So, just imagine it was not Raiola who said all those things but actually Paul Pogba and if you still think it’s all OK, then there’s nothing I can do for you.

Upfront we already have Rashford who is very exciting player. Martial who is much improved this season and can score goals out of nowhere. We may also go for Sancho in the summer, truly amazing talent there.
In midfield we have Bruno, who is top quality and exactly what the club needs most. We also have a new born Fred, who has been in amazing form, and of course McTominay, who keeps improving.
We also have a very young squad and we keep improving everyday, would be stupid to force a move elsewhere.
He'll always want to feck off when we struggle and be interested when things are going well. He's not committed to the club, he's committed to the perception that he's an important player in a good team. Nothing more.
Dallying on the ball, and subsequently losing the ball in dangerous areas; not tracking back fast enough after we lose possession; poor marking at set pieces, which makes us more likely to concede at corners and such; etc.
We're desperate for his creativity in midfield, though, which is why I would never want him to leave.

This reeks of Madrid and Juve being unwilling to pay the asking price, so Paul is seeking to sweeten being forced to stay with a fat pay rise.

He can get his new deal on condition he gets rid of his fat boy agent.
Remember in the Solskjaer press conference after we signed Fernandes and Ole was asked something like did the money for Fernandes come out of the budget for the summer or did it restrict what could be done in the summer and Ole said yes? Well I took that to mean effectively Bruno was Pogba's replacement. I'd still be surprised (delighted) but surprised if that was wrong.
All this outrage about Pogba getting more than Bruno and the latter hasn't even been here for 3 months. I'm sure when/if Pogba comes back to the side he'll perform in a well playing, functioning team and he'll earn his wages. At this moment yes as Pogba is proven at the highest level both at club and international level. If Bruno keeps it up, he will get a wage increase soon enough.
Exactly. One is proven at the highest level while the other is just getting started, so of course their valuation are different. In time given Bruno keeps up what he's doing right now, he'll be given a lucrative deal, that's how it works and always has.

If true then I'm not surprised. Top players seek top teams and trophies, not languish in mediocrity. United finally showed some ambition and concrete form this time, hold and behold our best player who previously contemplated seeking a top team elsewhere want to be part of this improving, ambitious team. No top player would ever want to subject themselves and waste their entire prime on a mediocre team, it just doesn't happen, at least not that often and One can't nor shouldn't blame the player.

If you're not excited by the thought of a dedicated Pogba linking up with Bruno you're dead on the inside. I'd genuinely not be surprised if he signs a new deal, but the exhausting sideshow has to fecking end.
First of all, he is on mega bucks already. Secondly, he has not shown his Juve or France NT forms for us. He can of course pick up a big wage at several clubs, I would not say many. I doubt that more than 2-3 clubs in Europe would be willing to pay him what we are paying now. Moreover, Pogba is United's player and it will take big money to convince us to sell him. My honest opinion of the situation is following: Pogba was willing to move, however, no club was willing to pay the amounts that Ed would be asking for. Now, with the arrival of Bruno, both Paul and Mino realize that Paul is no longer the Messiah for the club and that we can move on without him, while the market is showing that his valuation is not 100+ million quid. What else can he do? Probably start mentioning his eagerness to continue his career at United while signing a new contract on better terms both for himself as well as his agent. And honestly, I doubt that Paul deserves higher wages than what he is on currently.

I think the DeGea comparison is a solid one. We gave Dave a huge payrise at a time when a) his form was iffy and b) none of the big clubs were willing to spend real money on him.
Of the clubs who can afford to pay Pogba upwards of £300k a week, how many would be keen to? How many also want to pay United at least £80m for the privelige?
In the cold light of day United do not need to offer Pogba a new deal. There are two years left on his current deal and there are no indications Madrid or Juve will push the boat out for him this summer.
United should take their time with this. If Pogba wants a new deal let's see at least six months of really strong performances. He's a great player but he's not irreplaceable. Especially with the likes of Grealish seemingly keen on coming to Old Trafford.

I'm torn on this one. Pogba was sold a dream that we were going to buy great players and win trophies. Our recruitment or both managers and players have poor. He left a well established and top European side for our project. We haven't kept our end of the bargain. Rooney nearly left us due the same reason. He saw we weren't getting the right players in and we let other teams pass us in his final years with us. Rumours were that Rooney even told sir Alex who he thought we should buy as we clearly wasn't going to replace Ronaldo.
On the other hand, Pogba has played appallingly at times and hasn't shown a level of consistency expected from a hugely expensive player. And what with the fat agent who has been a cockroach to Pogbas employers, trying to dictate a move for him.

But the question i have now is would we be better off getting him out to get Grealish in? I'm now leaning towards this. If Pogba could get us £100m+ In fees, and Grealish in for £60m, I wouldn't mind at all. One thing I am 100% sure on though is we can't be giving him a new contract until he improves and the talk of £400k p/w..? Anyone else think that this news can be translated as "there are only a handful of clubs in the world that can afford Pogba's transfer fee and wages, and it has become apparent that none on them are in the market for him at that price"?
