Anyone without an agenda knows the difference between Giroud and Pogba. Even when just considering the tournament itself.

He was part of the team that won the Cup but thinking he was the key factor behind it or something is simply not true. By any means that Cup proves that he's good when he's just a part of a great team not the key stone you build the entire team around, because he was tactically disciplined and didn't go forward much in this tournament. His performance in the World Cup is overrated.
Shall we have a look at his performances during the CL last season? Where was he for Juve home and away? PSG at home? The Barca ties? In fact, if we look back, the only game he genuinely played well in was Young Boys away... A Europa League team. Also, he was a part of a team and squad that failed to get in to the Top 4.
On the strength of his and the team's performances last season, he is a Europa League level player. Unfortunately, his ego can't accept that.

Why wouldn't I bring up Ronaldo when you said that not one playee drags their team through every week. Ronaldo done it for Madrid. To a certain extent Hazard done it for Chelsea, who else performed so consistently well for them?
Why can't Pogba maintain the same effort week in week out? Not necessarily dragging the team through but setting an example to follow.
If Ronaldo plays in our side then his drive and leadership gets us champions league football. We sorely miss a leader in the team, Zlatan was the last one we had. The mantle was passed to Pogba and he just wasn't up to the task.
If that was the case then we wouldn’t be fighting to keep him. Madrid and Juventus are very keen on him. They know his ability.

He didn't rip the piss out of the world when he had prime Pirlo and Vidal, as well as Pjanic and Marchisio, what makes you think he'll do it in Spain? Especially since he'll likely come up against a Barca juggernaut who will likely have Neymar, Griezmann, and De Jong in their ranks when the transfer window closes.

How is that displaying a lack of football knowledge? I was asked about players dragging their teams through each week, regardless of position they played. Wasn't a comparison at all, just more to show that having that one player can make all the difference and we should have that in Pogba. He came back a world Cup winner and let everyone know that but didn't perform to a consistent level every week, fluctuating between performances rating of, 3 one week and 8 the next.
What about his lack of effort when losing the ball? His lack of ground coverage as well and lack of desire to win the ball back when losing it.
I'm not saying that Pogba was the problem for everything that went wrong but he didn't help matters by underperforming when he was needed to step up the most. Most of the United team are guilty of this as well.
Madrid aren't keen on him, Zidane is. Juve are in a one team league and a good season for them is getting to the semi finals of the CL.
We want to keep him because he's a one man marketing hype machine and we have so many other issues that need fixing. His footballing ability has flattered to deceive and he's 26, going on 27. To have such inconsistencies at his age is unforgivable. Yes, the club have let him down by not adequately strengthening but he's equally let himself and the club down by not putting in the required effort and commitment in to his performances.
Look, I was and still am a Pogba fan but those last two months of the season where top 4 was in our hands were abysmal and instead of being the leader and the one to drive us towards champions league football, Pogba was as bad as the rest of the players. The thing is, while the others were poor, you could see they were trying. It's just that they were shit. Pogba just simply wasn't bothered. That is worse than anything else.
I go to every game, home and away as well so you can imagine how I felt after driving 400 odd miles in a round trip to see us get battered by Everton on a Sunday afternoon, for example. In those instances, all I want to see is effort and Pogba provided none of it.

Just to add, Roy Keane also dragged our sorry asses through tough games. IINM, Vincent Kompany also dragged City through tough games early in the City oil dynasty. Even today, he still turns up in big games, although now there are many other world class players in their squad, but Kompany has been a pillar, and to some extent, still is.

I want Pogba to go, however if he does stay I can see him having a much better season thanks to the new direction of the club providing he actually knuckles down and puts a shift in each game.... if he is desperate to go then it may be his best option
Pogba doesn't play like a superstar for France. He's a cog in a team where the attackers carry all the burden. At Utd he has ideas above his station and at Madrid it'll be the same because he believes his own hype.

Pause a moment and think about what it takes to get to this level. You dont become pogba (for all his faults) by not showing up to certain games due to lack of intent.
A cog or not hes brilliant for France and its not his fault hes surrounded by Jesse rashford and lukaku at United. Of course he has to step up. He cant be a cog for those guys as there is no machine.
The few months when rashford and co were playing well pogba was being talked of as the best midfielder in world football.
Theres too much pressure and focus on Paul pogba. Sign some quality and watch him shine.

Mate, I was there for every game during that run. I saw him in the flesh. I didn't want to believe it at first because like I said, I'm a Pogba fan, but by the Huddersfield match it was fully apparent. He genuinely didn't give a shit.
No one is denying he has talent but talent alone doesn't get you to the top. And Pogba right now is living proof of it. In fact, it shows just how good he is that he's got as far as he has when he's been half arsed in a large proportion of his games for us.
