I’m guessing that united fan paid an exorbitant amount on adidas or pogba gear just to have the opportunity to say that. There were hundreds of fans outside and adidas did nothing to tell them they needed wristbands and would be waiting in the heat for hours to catch a glimpse of someone who cared more about American dollars than American fans. It was a terrible meet and great. American athletes at meet and greats are there until everyone has had a picture as they understand ITS THE FAN that’s made them popular. Pogba really upset a lot of adults but more so, the damn kids he left crying and needing consoling. I know I’m ranting but as a New Yorker (always see celebs and athletes) I have never seen someone act so despicably towards their fans.

Don't know what the details of the event were, maybe Adidas decided on what happens and how long Pogba stays. Playing devil's advocate, maybe he was on a schedule to catch a flight back to England because he is supposed to be back in training tomorrow? I don't know, just trying to make sense of it all.
He's a terrible person because he didn't talk to you or every single other fans who waited? That says more about you than it does about him, to be honest. I don't know the details of this event, but there are about a hundred different reasons why it turned out that way, and most of them have nothing to do with Pogba himself and more to do with Adidas' organisation of the event.

All very well and good selling Pogba, and I don't think we really have another sensible option, however, we were already 2 senior MFs short after losing Fellaini & Herrera. Matic and Mata seem to have run out of legs, and we have question marks over the ability of Fred & Perriera.
It seems certain that Pogba is now a gonner, yet we've signed no new MFs yet and the strongest links are with Longstaff and seems nothing much credible elsewhere...

Pretty shitty if thats what went down. If you say the adidas people were laughing aswell about the fans, then it sounds like a farce. Reminds me of the notion a lot of fans end of last season simply did not like this group of players anymore

If we wanted to go down the player swap route, then we should have got Llorente before he went to Atleti and Ceballos in exchange. Those two plus £80m would have been daylight robbery and we wouldn't even have needed to look for a midfielder cos those two would have instantly made our midfield complete

The more we seem to be pushing for Maguire and Fernandes makes me think that Pogba is off. There's no way we can spend the £120m+ on these two players without selling Pogba, assuming that we're spending £20m+ on Longstaff as well.
I've heard a few similar stories from yesterday over on Reddit And Twitter too. Others also saying he tried to call it a day straight away because he "felt ill" etc.
He's a cretin and i hope word gets back to the club about his antics. I see him as a huge cloud over the club at the moment and I'm actually hoping we sell him right now. I'll take whatever consequences, we can build a damn good midfield with the money.

In this market, with his previous price, long contract and marketing potential, coming off his best season statistically, then he's worth easily £130m. If I were United, that would be my minimum expectation.
I'm pretty sure we can spend that amount without selling P.
If we can get anything near our valuation from Madrid I'd like to see us spunk whatever it takes on Eriksen.

Just judging by our past spending and rumoured budget for the Summer. The most we have ever spent was £178m~ with £40m~ incoming, so a net of sub £140m. The big funds were trusted to Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal and I find it at least a little hard to believe that Ole is going to be instantly trusted with significantly more money than these two managers were. We've already spent £65m~ and if Longstaff comes off that's more like £85m~. If we signed Maguire and Fernandes which is likely £125m+ combined, that's already our biggest ever outlay by some distance at £210m~. There will need to be significant outgoings to balance this out, absolutely guaranteed and Pogba seems like the most likely after Lukaku.
I will backtrack on my comment if Lukaku, Darmian, and Rojo/Bailly are sold as that could get us down to about £170m~ net spend, but even that seems a bit of a push for the board to agree to right away IMO. We never spend the silly money in one season that our fans seem to think we can/do. Obviously would love to be proved wrong and we really show our muscle.
Yeah I personally think those stats made his season look a hell of a lot better than it actually was.
9 goals from pens, which we seemed to get an awful lot of last year, and a lot of his goals/assists came within a 8-9 game period.
He was very very poor for 20-25 games last year in the league last year, if I was a Madrid fan, there is no way I would want us spending 130M of my clubs budget on him.

I'm the same mate, his stats cloud over how bad he was in well over half our games last year, never turned up in hardly any big games, PSG home, Barca home and away, bar the assist at Wembley and Chelsea away in the cup can't think of him doing much against to many of the top sides.
I think the Madrid fans would turn pretty quickly on him regarding his consistency.
Can't see either club paying the cash for Pogba so other players will be offered. Depends then on who we really want.
The idea of taking players "offered" is an absolute joke. We deserve to pretty much stay outside the top 4 if we are going to take players who don't really want to come and instead, have simply been traded as meat.
That surprises me especially that KDB was out for nearly the whole of the season and he is still second.He made amazing performances in a lot of big games ( Europa League semi finales, the final, City at the Etihad, Tottenham and Arsenal plenty of time, Chelsea...) since his comeback...
He hardly never take the set-piece because Ibra in his first 2 seasons and since then Rashford, Mata and Young never let him take them and the market has gone crazy, Pogba at 89m is a bargain.
And if you look at the stats, he's the best midfielder in the premier league ahead of KDB etc since august 2016
I really do think that stats are just a factor in a performance as someone can have a stinker and yet take two corners which result in goals and converts a penalty so what do we take from that
I think giving the ball away while showboating is a stat that deserves a kick up the arse from a teammate especially when the culprit does not even run back to try and defend his mistake.
I think Pogba is a talented player and when he plays for the team he is good but I have only seen him really do that in the World Cup when he seemed disciplined in his performance; I think he just plays for fun when he plays for us.

Regardless of how much he may want out (I don't think it's as bad as being made out in the press - he spoke very highly of Ole very recently), I don't think the club will take a deal that will include bringing a player in. The transfer strategy is very much focused around players who want to play for the club, have hunger, etc. Not sure any player forced out of Turin or Madrid will be coming with such an attitude.
The club doesn't need to sell this summer.
I hope he stays. If we get in a few more players, I think he could be a totally different player for us under a better style of play.

I think that the remaining length of his contract is not going to be a factor here, and I do feel that Madrid will have us over a barrel.
The Spanish transfer window remains open for business 4 weeks after the English window closes, if we haven't agreed to their offer by then, I really do fear that Pogba is the type of character that will just go on strike, and we could literally have him sitting down on the pitch as the game continues around him.
If we got to that stage, no matter what Madrid offered, we'd have to accept, and we wouldn't be able to recruit anyone else as the window would be closed shut.
I feel the same. He will strike if he doesn't get his transfer wish. But we may have to concede to lesser money plus a player.

Let's face it, as frustratingly inconsistent as Pogba can be, he's our best player and our central midfield is toast if he goes.
