We are paying Pogba tons of money, he has 2+1 years left on his contract too. If he is not motivated, that would speak about his professionalism and pride as a football player.

I hate the fact that people are ready to give such excuses to footballers. They get millions to do a job, someone like Pogba should give a 1000% whatever club he is in. And it's not like Ole has a problem with him the same way Mourinho did, which is something I can agree that makes a player not perform as good as usual.

It's not about excuses it's about experience. We have literally seen how he performs when he is not happy. It's also human nature for someone to be less than 100% if they are not happy - irrespective of how we think they should be happy because of x y or z.

If he stays I hope fans won't abuse him and British media won't hate him. Poor guy, everybody is out to get him.
It's quite embarrassing all the comments on his announcement of the meet and greet. Definitely over the top.

Maybe we ask for Luca Zidane in part exchange and declare we'll only play him in the reserves.

They can afford this. Maybe not upfront, but they can come up with a payment plan for 150m.
As it is, Madrid have to sell to comply with ffp. They can't afford to pay £150m at the moment regardless of how it is paid.

The new FFP guidelines start with the new season, July 1st, so it is 100 million euro net spend from that date (at least that's what Spanish journos say). So it would be pretty easy for them to sell the extra player or two to recoup the difference. Just them selling lets say, James and Nacho, would put them within FFP standards.

That is IF we sell. Which I don't think we're going too. Woodie will not let his biggest marketing asset without a huge fight.

I wonder if the very public fall out between PP and our club might be diminishing the value of that ' marketing asset ' every day that this stupidity continues.

Will he bring in £ 150 million to the club in Man Utd related goods and services over the next three years ?? I happen to think not.

I think we've already seen, on here and other threads, that there is a large percentage of Reds who would now be glad to see the back of him.

Anyone in Africa, Asia, Europe, etc who will continue to get a stiffy every time they see him, no matter what shirt he's wearing, I'm sure we can live without after he's gone - if he goes, of course, because it's only Real ( who need to sell two players first ) Juve ( who need to sell before they can buy ) and PSG ( who, let's face it, is a step down from even us ) where he will be going to, and if they don't make a bid, we're stuck with each other even if we perhaps don't want to be.

So Pogba should be back tomorrow, at least that's what my understanding is. What do we think is going to happen?

Is there a chance he boycotts the team to get a move, like Courtois did to Chelsea?

I think I’d rather him go as he clearly doesn’t want to be here. But it’s seems very unlikely anyone is going to pay the fee required to buy him.

So hopefully he acts professional.

I think it's looking more and more likely there will be no takers this summer, maybe the best thing would be to try and get him to agree to one more season, hopefully with him giving his best and let him go next summer?

Expecting things to move in the next couple of days. Think he will meet with Ole and push to move. Will take around 150m for him, then we will probably sign Longjohn and Bruno

Yeah, but what does push to move even mean? I imagine Ole will tell Pogba that we can't sell him for less than £160 million.

So what then, how will the Frenchman react? Will Raiola create a shitstorm out of it or make his client to seriously force a transfer? I hope that doesn't happen because it will seriously make me lose all respect for Pogba and question his character as a man.

This is where Raiola needs to earn his corn. He sucks up millions in fees from these deals and the only reason he is paid so well is his supposed ability to make a deal happen. If Paul wants out and we want a fee of 150m then Raiola needs to find a club willing to pay that otherwise why should Paul even bother to keep the fat blood sucker around.

He has been training at Red Bulls stadium in NJ. So he's getting his fitness in. I guess this is just Adidas related promo stuff.

I imagine he has the clubs permission
I mean that's fine if he's training but sets the wrong precedent that he's off training in a different continent. Perhaps shows where his priorities really lie. I hope I'm reading too much into it because I'd hate to lose him.

This is the second "talk" that Pogba is having with Ole. It probably means that we're going to sell if we have a reasonable offer from RM or Juve.

The first talk was today, ya know while Pogba was in America and Ole was in Manchester

It's all bollocks

It's not out of character for Pogba to disrespect our club, so I wouldn't put it past him.

To play devil's advocate. Pogba....rightly or wrongly....sees himself as one of the greatest players in the world.

He's played with world class midfieldrs at Juventus and with France.

Look at what he's had to work with since returning to United. Matic, McTominay,Fred. Herrera was the best of the lot and hes gone.

He's seen nothing but failure and Floundering since returning.

He's preparing for the club to buy Sean Longstaff when he believes he deserves prime Pirlo.

If i was him, I'd break my neck to leave

Pretty much. Putting aside any differences in opinion as to how good he actually is, if there's a big European Club with guaranteed titles calling I'm sure he'd do what he can to get there. Especially when Ronaldo is still active.

I don't blame him for engineering any move. I don't think he owed us anything nor did he have any special connection with us to warrant sticking through the transition. He wants out and he's made it clear multiple times. Just resolve the situation and look ahead

He downed tools last season in the race for top 4 after international break.

meet and greet was an absolute farce. Adidas gave out 200 wristbands at 8am. They put on instagram that he’s going to be here at 2pm. Adidas personel are being rude and arrogant, laughing at fans that have been here for 4 hours. At least 1000 fans, duh, it’s FECKING NYC! It’s an absolute disgrace to people who’ve travelled from far and called out of work.

By the same token, we don't owe Pogba anything in making his personal aspirations come through.
It's easy to support Pogba's perspective because we are used to seeing footballer's get their way, however if economically Pogba is worth 200 million, it is reasonable to slap on some additional amount as a deterrent and as opportunity cost.

He possibly has 3 years on his contract and we are within our legal right to refuse a transfer.

Paul Pogba is a terrible person. He doesn’t care about his fans who waited over 5 hrs to see him. His wife was more engaging and she didn’t say anything. I’ve never seen an athlete be so scared of his fans. He came out a side entrance and when someone screamed “pogba” , he threw his hood up and ran into his car. Then a English child in the crowd started sobbing and I swear I saw myself in him. I felt it in my soul and told him “It’s about the UNITED badge and shirt not the player” (he had two jerseys). I feel cheated for buying his gear, I feel cheated supporting him as a player, and I feel cheated as United fan. Pogba is not a celebrity or musician. Athletes are supposed to love their fans, especially children, and he did none of that today. Apparently you were supposed to spend upwards of $170 just to get him to sign something. Such a despicable and vile cash grab followed by spitting on die hard fans of his. He’s dead to me.

Damn that's sad

It does us no good keeping a player like him against his will. He will continue to disrupt the dressing room with occasional media interviews, continue with his inconsistency and we will just extend the transition period further with him around.

Fully agree, BUT, we’ve got to get top dollar for him if he moves. Adidas could be a big help here to get a replacement, they need another big name here if he moves.

Are you serious? I read on reddit that one fan asked Pogba to stay at United and he apparently said "We'll see", whilst ignoring the questions from Juventus fans, who were begging him to go back there.
