Don't know how precise these measurements but probably a rough guide as to size...
The original PS3 was a chunky bastard.

Of all of those, the PS5 catches your eyes the most. I just hope it's quietDon't know how precise these measurements but probably a rough guide as to size...

@Kush
This was the last word from Sony
Top 100 at launch. Many more over time.
Now you might be right, nearly every game might be playable at launch. But Sony havent said that.
But I think you're dreaming if you think your old games will suddenly play better
How so? I'm really not sure how you can even reach that conclusion. More populated servers and less cheaters says pretty much all there is to say. I'd choose MP on console over PC any day of the week, tbh.Thought the actual console looked great, the launch games look as terrible as ever its nearly always the same every console launch.
From what i've seen there is no hurry or reason to preorder either console you won't be missing much, i will probs go down the nvidia 3 series cards first then get a PS5 at a later date.
Wait for those glorious single player exclusives to appear before jumping in to the PS5 as multiplayer on console is rubbish imo.

Yeah I thought that when I read they designed it purposely to be sat in a living room. If that was the case then make it a sleek, minimalist, black design not a fecking space dildo with a blue lightI think the PS5 looks fine, especially if you're in a dedicated gaming room or something, but that thing sat in a living room isn't a great look
The thing saying that only the top 100 PS4 games will be playable at launch is the thing that is misleading. This is simply not true. You are misleading people
Eurogamer - today June 12th
UPDATE: A quick update on backward compatibility – With all of the amazing games in PS4’s catalog, we’ve devoted significant efforts to enable our fans to play their favorites on PS5. We believe that the overwhelming majority of the 4,000+ PS4 titles will be playable on PS5.
We’re expecting backward compatible titles will run at a boosted frequency on PS5 so that they can benefit from higher or more stable frame rates and potentially higher resolutions. We’re currently evaluating games on a title-by-title basis to spot any issues that need adjustment from the original software developers.
In his presentation, Mark Cerny provided a snapshot into the Top 100 most-played PS4 titles, demonstrating how well our backward compatibility efforts are going. We have already tested hundreds of titles and are preparing to test thousands more as we move toward launch. We will provide updates on backward compatibility, along with much more PS5 news, in the months ahead. Stay tuned!
Because beyond the few cheaters that isn't as big as people make out, games run way better on PC, and they're populated just fine
Most people don't actually know what hacks look like in game. It's fashionable to say every PC game is plagued by them (it's a great excuse when you lose!) just as much as over inflated the cost of a gaming PC.
SoT is hilarious for kids accusing other xbox players of "hacking" I even get it when playing console only servers
I think to say "few cheaters" is quite an understatement. Anything even remotely competitive will undoubtedly suffer from cheaters on PC. More than on console, being my point.Because beyond the few cheaters that isn't as big as people make out, games run way better on PC, and they're populated just fine
Yeah true, I don't know why Eurogamer (of all companies) are saying "only" the top 100.The thing saying that only the top 100 PS4 games will be playable at launch is the thing that is misleading.

They've tested hundreds but Cerny was using the 100 most played as an example of how well they were doing.

The fecking state of the new Xbox . Holy hell.Don't know how precise these measurements but probably a rough guide as to size...

To be fair that's the worst angle for it but it doesnt look that much better from aboveThe fecking state of the new Xbox . Holy hell.
I used this guy's guide when I got my TV a few weeks agoOn the topic of TVs, does anyone know of any good, yet affordable 4K TVs?
I'd prefer that in my living room, to be honest. To be fair that's the worst angle for it but it doesnt look that much better from above

And wait for people’s mothers using it as a stool to stand on, it’s also perfect to just put let’s say a game case on top of it fecking with the fan.Imagine preferring the Xbox design. How can you like just a literal box. PS5 is deffo not for everyone but it’s just miles better than the Xbox design.

I like the just a box-ness design of the Xbox. It looks like a futuristic AI centre from an Alien type film or something, rather than something that would have been on totallyrad3dblendertutorials.com in 2006.
Clearly I think differently but to me, a £500- £600 piece of tech should stand out! The Xbox is so unimaginative which I get, kind of fits in more but that shouldn't always be the purpose.Because it's a very neutral design.
As basic as it comes, but it's neat and tidy
The PS5 on the other hand, unless you're living on a spaceship, that won't quite fit the decor or a living room, unless you're @One Night Only

Fair enough, doesn't make it any less maddening to me. Innovative unique design > Minimalist design.I also prefer Xbox simplistic design by far. The PS5 Internet Router is just fecking ugly to me. It seems like they tried too hard for something much different and the result is not pretty for me.
Minimalist > Try harding always for me.
Exactly, you pay the price, you expect. a little bit of something interesting. It’s like wanting a Ferrari to look like a Toyota
I think there needs to be a balance, i.e. the PS4. Interesting design, with consideration given to potential cohesiveness.Fair enough, doesn't make it any less maddening to me. Innovative unique design > Minimalist design.

The skill level on console is just rubbish, competitive gaming on console isn't for me mouse and raw aim is just better.
Cheating is an issue on pc sure, but the majority of the time people are just better then you but its easy to call cheats we are all guilty of it.
And for you they'll have one in black no doubt. Which I'm sure we'll fit in fine with most setups...I think there needs to be a balance, i.e. the PS4. Interesting design, with consideration given to potential cohesiveness.
Not everyone wants to make a gaming console the star feature of their room.
@Bojan11 what was that link you shared the other day again?Where have you pre-ordered from?
