Didn't really rate Nobody Saves The World. Maybe it's because I just came from Rogue Legacy 2 which had really responsive controls and satisfying combat, but it just felt samey and the combat wasn't enjoyable.
Played Dead Cells? That sounds like it's more what you want.

And Hades obviously.

I've played Hades yeah. And I think I remember trying Dead Cells. I've just finished Rogue Legacy 2 so I don't think I can play another rogue-like so soon.

Okay extra and premium line up - I’ve already played RE2 so Tiny Tina is the only one for me. Tbf it was on my todo list.

What’s the second plagues take game like? Do you need to have played the first?

if you care about the story, yes probably a good idea to play the first one

they are both pretty good games

With TLOU2 update coming next week, what are the chances part 1 goes on plus?

I've done well to avoid buying games that end up on extra a month later, but with Tiny Tina's WL I finally lucked out having bought it about a month ago. It's pretty decent, but I think I might be borderlands fatigued because I gave up after a dozen hours or so

Right here me out. What about The Last of Us but instead of zombies there's supervillains, and instead of a poignant story about survival in the face of desolation it's about a young kid who gets superpowers and beats bad guys.

Wouldn't that be wicked?!

Eh, The Last of Us Remastered is on there. Doubt they'll put Part 1 up even though I'd prefer to play that.
I mean over the years when a sequel to a game is coming out they’ll often stick the original on before the release of the sequel.

The last of us remastered is part 1 and on ps+ already.

Before anyone starts, I know part 1 is a remake from the ground up, but for the sake of this question they're the same game.

Does anyone have any idea when the next drop of Portal's are coming? Seems like Sony's supply chain for hardware launches is back to a covid status.

Know people probably aren't into these sorts of games as probably don't see them as "skilled" enough but just seeing if anyone has any recommendations?

I enjoy the sorts of games where the decision you make has a bearing on what happens later in the story and who ends up surviving ultimately

My OH is the gamer but I like ones I can join in with too, that don't require loads of shooting skills

Favourites have been until dawn and the quarry.

We need to get the most recent dark pictures one (devil in me) and enjoyed house of ashes. Didn't enjoy little hope as it was a bit meh and didn't really go anywhere. The one on the ship was a bit weird

Does anyone have any recommendations based on these?

Also liked Resident Evil 6, but gave up with Village. There was also a co op split screen prison one (a way out?) That we could both play together if no until dawn type games currently out.

Sounds like you would enjoy any sort of Telltale series game.

It sounds like Detroit: Become Human might be up your alley.

Telltale games were mentioned already, but there are a lot of them so I'd recommend The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands. Life is Strange is another one that might interest you, the first series is great, the second a bit meh, haven't played the third yet.

Yeah that, Until Dawn and The Quarry are the best recent ones of this genre aside from Telltale games which I’ve not been able to get into - Tales of the Borderland seems to be the most re known out of those. Going back, Heavy Rain and L.A Noire are good options.

Not idea if Quantum Break was any good ?

Disco Elysium!
I was loving this for the first hour (the humour is incredible, love the graphics and music etc), but feck me the amount of dialogue you have to get through is.. tough. There's a hell of a lot to look at and to read. Does it ease up at all as the story progresses? Slightly overwhelmed with it at the moment.

Nope, that's basically the game.

Nope. I mean things get pieced together as you go and some of them even make sense when you finish but its basically reading a book. You are kind of dropped into it with more or less everything available immediately. I'd say about three quarters of the map is open straight off the bat (just not the HARDCORE part). So i wouldn't worry too much about getting to everything immediately.

Ah, cheers. I'm a bit of an obsessive with trying to interact with and absorb everything in a game, so I'll try and feck that off and just enjoy whatever I happen across.

Playing Lies of P atm. Really good soulsborne clone. The world is a blatant rip off of Bloodborne, but it manages to become its own quite well. Im certainly missing the coop option, but apart from Nioh 1 and 2 this the best in the genre ive played and is better than some earlier games Fromsoft. I always feel stressed out after 2 hours though but that comes with the genre.

I bought this recently after hearing so many good things about it. I've done one playthrough and, whilst largely enjoyed it, I don't have the will to go through it again. As you say, the humour is great but it was definitely a slog at the end there.

Been playing Tekken 8 alot this week, mostly online. Though it's awesome I instantly remembered why I quit playing 7. It's way too addicting to play ranked matches for hours on end and it makes me so fecking hyper. And not in a good way.

Anyone here play Tekken? I'll kick yer arse. Unless you're really good.

Is it like the old ones where you can mash buttons and win? Or tekkers?

Release dates for Silent Hill 2 and MGS3 would be nice , as well as some news about Death Stranding 2.

I'm setting myself up for some disappointment I know.

Pretty much the same reason I’m giving it a miss tonight. Don’t really expect anything major to be shown/announced from tonight’s state of play.

Hoping for some PSVR2 announcements, rumours of a new Metro VR game incoming which would be amazing. Sony really need to start showing what the future of this thing looks like.

Death Stranding 2 looks every bit as random and weird as you would expect.
I liked the guitar gun.

God Kojima has an awesome brain.

Hope this one has a little bit more pace to it, couldn’t finish the first but would try again.

Death Stranding 2 was hilarious . Day one purchase for me. Never change Kojima.
