Gaming PlayStation 5

Seriously guys, Chivalry 2 is a great game. Combat is great fun, you dont feel overly short changed when you die (looking at you COD), and it isn't taking itself too seriously.

A guy from work told me about this last Thursday, going to pick it up when I get paid.

Anyone seen about how the new Metal Gear/Silent Hill/Castlevania games will be PlayStation exclusive?

Yeah second this. Not a game i'd have paid for but it's just a lot of fun. I've found I enjoy it more the better I've got as well because there's a quite an organic growth to it. When you get in a good duel with people its ace.

This. Its great fun and feels really refreshing compared to the million clones of military shooters there is on the market. And the bolded part is so true. Maybe i've yelled a few times at my TV when some fecker stabed me in the arse or i got impaed by some coward on a balista, but the frustration levels are significantly lower with this compared to many other online games

Yes guys! :D it's a great game and you just naturally get better at duels. Play 3v3 to practice to avoid someone stabbing you in the bum.

I find myself laughing most of the time and when I die it's my own fault for running into a group of 3 or so enemies like an idiot.

PS5 VR is expected to go on sale in stores this week. I asked at the weekend in a store if they were going to be stocking the PSVR and they said they hope to start selling them on the 12th.

Christ God of War is annoying (first one on PS4). The combat is great but I feel like I spend 90% of my time pissing about doing something like looking for a blue crystal to shoot a magic arrow at to open a fecking door. It's not a puzzle, which ideally provide a sense of achievement. It feels like it's a way to slow the player down which I get, I just would like to feel like I'm not wasting my time doing boring stuff often.

Very good post

Exactly the reason I never finished it. The graphics were gorgeous and the combat was fun but solving the fecking puzzles to get past some obstacle just got tedious very quickly.

Got maybe halfway through the game I think. I was planning on finishing it later after a little break but just never got around to it.

Wondering if they'll be any big games announced for the second half of the year. After Final Fantasy 16 in June there's literally nothing ahead for me that i can see on this year's release calendar. Was hoping SIlent Hill 2 remake might be this year.

Spider-Man is this year too, right?

Either way, I’m sure there will be something as there always seems to be something coming out Christmas time.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we see a new IP or even something like Returnal 2.

I hope/wish . Not a big fan of spider-man but that's a big release.

- Saw this.
- Copied the link. Saw the forum and thought "Ooh I'll finally beat Damien to one"
- Clicked the thread.
- You are inevitable.
It was pure coincidence that I saw it when I did. Wasn't expecting any sort of announcement until tomorrow - went on Era and the thread with the tweet was posted 3 minutes before.

I think most of the focus will be on Spider-Man 2 in terms of pushing games for the rest of the year but I can see Helldivers 2 coming out which isn't of interest to me personally. Most of the games mentioned will be 2024/25 and beyond.

It's only Spider-Man 2 that I can see in terms of big Sony titles. FFVII Rebirth seems to be scheduled for 2023 as well, but I would be very surprised if S-E managed to release two major Final Fantasy titles in the same year.

Some more random games that are listed as 2023 for now: Baldur's Gate 3 (this has a firm release date), AC: Mirage which I don't know (or care) much about, Alan Wake 2 and System Shock. I'm skeptical that these last 2 games will make 2023.

Another one I didn't even know was a thing is Remnant 2, and it's apparently coming out this year as well. Again, I'm skeptical, but you never know. I bounced off Remnant but I know a lot of people liked it. The foundations were solid, so an improved successor could be interesting.

That VR2 in the title is so good to see. Hoping to see some PSVR1 remasters like Astro Bot, Blood and Truth etc...

You mean the last of us multiplayer game?

I'm so intrigued by this.

Worried it could buckle under huge ambition since its evolved into its own thing. I absolutely loved TLOU 1 multiplayer (minus the pay to win elements) so was gutted 2 didn't have any mp at launch and that we're still waiting.

Yeah it was pretty good. The setting would work really well for an open world thing.

It'd be completely different to TLOU1 mp though. Which is a shame really. It was basic stuff but the stealth, low resources crafting and lack of weapons/ammo made it really tactical. You could have some drawn out 1v1 encounters on there unlike other games which are mostly just who shoots first / gets the headshot.

Interested to see what they do anyway.

ever since I played DMZ on Modern Warfare 2 I thought that mode would be perfectly suited to a Last of Us multiplayer game.
