Upgrading to the Extra tier. Cost £16.54 for just over 5 months. Seems like a good deal to me. Downloading Death Stranding Directors Cut, GoT, Prey, and Demon's Souls Remake. So a few things there to keep me busy!

Can you pay monthly to upgrade as i'm not seeing the option, only yearly? Really wanna play RE 1 ps classic.

Like others I have upgraded to extra tier it seems like a no brainer tbh

Just got ghost of tsushima downloading.

Just seen resi 2 and 3 remakes have ps5 upgrades, might invest in one of these

Yeah, it basically just upgrades you for the duration of your current subscription. I was confused about how they would do it initially, but the value is acutaly really good for the Extra tier, IMO. As for the Premium, I'm not sold on it yet. Maybe in a few months once they've added more to it, but currently I don't think it's worth it. They're supposed to be adding games to the service in the middle of every month. So we'll see.

They did an incredible job with 2 (just talking about the remake itself, not the upgrade). I really enjoyed 3 as well. I know a few people didn't like it, but I found it incredibly fun. And it's short, which is nice.

I upgraded. Good selection of games really. If you want a stupid but fun game, earth defence force is on there. That’s great fun for couch coop too

was £3 difference for me, and I decided to go the full hog - especially as I can play some of the demos too

I got the premium for 23 pounds on my current subscription as i wanted to play the classics. Looks good value.

Currently Playing RE 1 and the graphics are just...harmful. My eyes literally hurt. I thought they might have smoothed a few edges here and there but oh well. Gonna play Outer Wilds and a few others soon.

I think im going to skip it to be honest. Sub ran out last month, best value for money for the extra library of games is €100 for a year. Which is decent enough value ... but i've just played most of the games available. I'd definitely play Returnal and Demons Souls but that price for limited access to 2 games is pretty steep. Suppose Guardians of the Galaxy would get played too but thats on sale for €20 already so ...
Maybe there'll be some multiplayer game that tempts me back in but not in a rush atm.

I coughed up a whopping €36 for the premium!! Sweet!!!

I'm actually overwhelmed now with the amount of games to play!!

I've 2 weeks holidays coming up as well and aside from short trip I'm at home so lots of time to get stuck into some serious gaming!!

I think that's another reason why I didn't take the plunge. I'm just not really that interested in playing old games. A lot of games from the PS1 era (and some PS2) just don't hold up. It would just be a novelty for me, in that I would boot some of those games up for about five minutes then would never touch them again. There are wayyy too many games out currently that the idea of going back and playing any of these really old games for more than ten minutes is just not appealing to me.

Each to their own, of course.

I've put a few hours into Miles Morales, now and the duelsense features in this are so subtle you might not even notice them, at all. I expected a first party game to use them more.

I'm really liking the game, so far, but I'm not enjoying one aspect of the story. Your uncle being a superhero doesn't work for me. He's like ''Miles, I don't want you to get hurt. So, I'm just going to beat the shit out of you.'' ok? I'm sure it's from the comics but it seems stupid to me

Looking at the ps plus extra looks the way to go. For me it's a 25 pound upgrade and I've always wanted to try Returnal, assasins creed, and demon souls. But im going to wait until we have done Horizon as no point taking on another big project.

I did the same. Paid the £20.96 difference for the premium and just feel so spoilt for choice now.

1st game I downloaded was Tekken 2 as it’s the first game I ever owned when I got a PS1. So much childhood nostalgia.

Definitely going to browse both catalogs tomorrow and download a few more games that I fancy playing.

Ridiculous that they have some games leaving the subscription so early. Shadow Warriors leaves in like two weeks and RDR leaves in September already. Also the fact that they have put some of the remasters from PS4 era into Premium justifying this as PS2/PS3 era games is concerning, as that also means that if they were to ever put any of the RE remakes etc they would almost certainly have them there.

I paid next to nothing for it and it will be fun to play Spider-Man and try Demons Souls and Death Stranding but it’s not really that amazing value I think, especially if they keep putting games with 1-3 months expiration window.

Any game recommendations for someone who's spent the last 2 years playing Dark Souls 1, 2, 3, Sekiro and Elden Ring and finally needs a break from fromsoftware games?

A game with a comprehensible story would be good.

Bloodborne and Demon Souls will be played eventually.

Giving consideration to Horizon forbidden west and Deathloop at the moment

If you have not played them, TLOU 1 & 2.

Have you played zero dawn? If so definitely go for forbidden West. Great game.

Never played a Far Cry game before but i hear 3 is the best game. Does it still hold up today? I heard it has a good villain.

Saw someone play the latest Far Cry game and it looked horrific, or rather just not my thing. Hoping 3 is better and worth a try at least.

I ended up playing Days Gone and am really enjoying it, after pretty much playing nothing but From games back to back for a very long time. Haven't played Forbidden West but played Zero Dawn, which was decent, but I think Days Gone is a lot better.

I think 3 is thought of as the best of the modern lot and along with the original as the best of them all, maybe.

I surprisingly enjoyed 5 a lot, recently. Generic games with a lot to do that means little tends not to be my thing but I found 5 to be a refreshingly fun game.

Days Gone was really good. It has some flaws but the general mechanics and gameplay loop are of a high level, not to mention the visuals.

TLOU 1 & 2 if you haven’t played either as well as the Uncharted games.

Not sure I'll upgrade. I don't think there's a single game I'm interested in playing (that I haven't already played).

Gone for the top tier.

Now to decide what to play this weekend. Returnal or Demon Souls are the most temping but thinking I'll go with something lighter like Miles Morales or Guardians for now. Maybe the former for the visuals!

Same, it's a bit disappointing for me right now, I own all of the decent stuff already. Think I'll spend some time playing the games I already own and this will hopefully make more sense next year,

Don’t know if already been asked but does anyone know how often or long the games that are free to download on this new PS Plus service are available for?

I know GP update their catalog quite fairly and games come & go on their but usually you get a message when a specific game or two are leaving the service and when.

They'll come and go. Dont know where to find the information but was reading about some game i was interested in only being there for a month or two.

I’m going to upgrade to premium. What are the games I should be playing on my shiny new ps5? :D
