Gaming PlayStation 5

@VeevaVee we need to keep track of how many broken controllers there are. Seems like half the forum have had broken controllers and probably Elvis, if he wasn’t such a lying scrote. The main man Afro has been through 5.

Oh and imagine buying a next gen console just to play PES in 2021. Some people are crazy and they bought 5 of them.

We must be close to 20 controllers replaced by people on this forum alone

Well this is a pain in the arse, isn't it? Yakuza: Like a Dragon is out today on PlayStation 5, and it's a free upgrade if you already own the game on PS4. Except at the time of writing, the upgrade process doesn't actually work.

PS5 was the obvious choice for quality exclusives pre launch and is still the obvious choice.

Ff7 Remake makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Grabbed Tony Hawks as well. Such a good remake/master.

Having such a nostalgic time with the PS5 at the moment. Considering grabbing Resident Evil 2 next and relive my early teen years in their entirety.

anybody got one of those links to skip the queue?

PS5 up on game.co.uk right now

Been playing Control for the past few days. What a great game. I don't fully know what the hell is going on, but it's intriguing nonetheless. The combat is great fun and the sense of explorations is incredible. Really enjoying it so far.

You have to play it in 60fps though. Got no idea what's up with the 30fps version, but it doesn't look great. It does have Ray Tracing, which is nice and everything, but it has this weird blur thing going on. The character and camera movements are really weird. I've obviously played plenty of games running at 30fps and none of them have this, so it isn't that. Really weird.

I’ve been sitting in the game queue for over an hour.

If you haven't got one by now you need to check out how to skip queue-it service. Plenty of youtube videos on how to do it and it isn't at all difficult.

I started it and got my gun and killed a few people but just thought it played awful? May revisit it at some point but it’s not a high priority.

Anywhere got any charging stations yet?

Nope, it’s a really technical piece of kit and each requires 7 unique gems hidden across the world and each controller needs to be powered by 4 charging stations hence why they’ve been having such difficulty meeting demand.

It’s ridiculous. I had one on pre order but cancelled it as I didn’t think I’d need it but now I can’t get one I really want one

Playing it in performance mode is really great; especially when you get some new abilities. I think the gameplay opens up a bit more and you can start to link different moves together. The only time I thought the game played poorly was when I tried it in Graphics mode (or whatever it's called). There's something up with that mode, but in performance, I think it plays great personally. And as I said, the sense of exploration is incredible. Would definitely recommend trying it again when you can.

I’m enjoying this too, the way it’s using the controller is great, love shooting my gun.

I recently bought Far Cry 5 + New Dawn in a bundle, and didn't realise it's locked to 30fps.

I used to think 30fps was fine, but my god, it's so jarring. Feels really laggy when you're moving and looking around, especially coming over from God of War, Last of Us Remastered, Spiderman etc.

Yeah, the slight resistance on the trigger depending on what gun your using is a neat touch. Also, the sound design is incredible.

Could always grab a cheap 3rd party one to do until the stock comes in again. Theres plenty on Amazon with good reviews.
