Gaming PlayStation 5

That's good.

Interesting to see that people who own the Series X haven't complained about there not being enough storage on the SSD though I suppose it's not as big a problem when there's no games to install.

All the 360 games on gamepass are small files

Nope, I got 1tb extra storage, and Xbox has over 100GB extra storage than PS5, so it's not a big issue for now.

I don't think the Series X automatically records media for when someone gets an achievement, whereas PS5 does by default, so that might be a bit of an issue too.

That'd be nice. 90% of games i own on playstation are the equivalent.
The network side of the playstation is still dogshit. I kind of got over it and dealt with it on PS3 but i kind of expected they would have improved over the course of 4's life. Feels much the same.

I don’t think I can carry on using the Pulse headset. I’m sure it’s making me feel a bit sick/nauseous.

It feels really tight on my head and like it’s putting lots of pressure on it. I have pull it away from my ears every few minutes because of how uncomfortable it is. Makes my ears so hot as well.

Well that’s me gone then.

I’d say I have a regular size head  it just feels so tight the way it snaps on. Like it’s pushing on the blood flow or something. I feel incredibly nauseous now after wearing them for about half an hour.

I’ve googled and some people have complained it’s given then bad migraines and such.

I got the headset last week and I’m a bit disappointed so far. I thought the 3D sound would be awesome but I can barely experience it. I’ve got really good hearing in terms of sound sensitivity and frequency range but I think I might be one of the unlucky people who just don’t hear the sound as a 3D experience.

You know you have to turn them on.

How do people keep track of who has stock and who doesn't?

I know I'm not the only one but I have not come close to getting one so far.

Did the switcheroo with my faulty controller yesterday.

The turn around time from Sony is unreasonable, especially if you only have one controller. I was lucky it was my spare controller that was faulty but it's meant I've not played any coop games.

I hope it was a one off and I don't end up having controllers breaking every couple of months.

I have this problem with glasses. Always thought my head was normal size until I went to Specsavers

Twitter is how I managed to keep up with who'd have stock and when. One of them runs a stock checker via his YouTube channel and although kids usually spam the chat, the others will comment when it drops.

Discord/Slack with mobile notifications is the quickest and most effective way.

Can't be much longer before it isnt really worth it for the scalpers. Anyone who was willing to pay daft money for one will have already done so.

It's nuts. Already replaced one due to a faulty trackpad and the controller I bought to replace it whilst it was with Sony has now broken too with a spring in the trigger coming loose and rattling around.
That’s awful. Strange that the controller was meant to be the big thing with the ps5 and it’s so poor quality.

This is my first ever console (also not much of a gamer apart from stuff like FIFA and the occasional FPS). I'm loving it, the ability to sit back and play on a large screen in 4k is awesome.

Been playing FIFA 21, and Batman Arkham Knight. What an incredible game to begin with!

In 6 months time when people actually have games to play on the Xbox we will probably be hearing the same stories.

Don’t try and skirt reality with fantasy pexbo. It’s very Sony boy of you

You should look after your stuff better. Vast majority of controllers work fine, so what are the odds of getting two faulty controllers in a row?

@littlepeasoup look how they turn on you when you speak of Sony's shortcomings. I'd like to extend a hand and welcome you to the Xbox thread if you like. You may talk about any issues you have there and we'll do all we can to help

What was the issue with your trackpad? The controller which came with my console has an issue where the trackpad gets 'stuck' down if I press both of the lower corners at the same time - I discovered this accidentally whilst playing Astrobot in the first few days. It's easily fixed by pressing near the top again. I thought it was just happening because you aren't supposed to press the trackpad in two places at the same time, however I got a second controller for Christmas and it's fine.

I'm tempted to exchange the 'faulty' one when the shops re-open, but I'm concerned about any replacement controller having stick drift or one of the other issues which people seem to be having. Touch wood, other than the small trackpad sticking issue, both of my controllers work well.
