Gaming PlayStation 5

Yes but it doesn't matter anyway, you can literally swap on the fly at any point in the game (though you have to go back to the last checkpoint is all). It's not like you need to decide up front.

Have a sneaky pete at some of the comparisons on the web
Yeh that's great to be honest. It's quite hard to get the comparisons online as I think you don't really see the difference of FPS that much just on video whereas I bet I'll notice it far more when I'm actually controlling it and moving around.

I’d wait, it’s worth the wait to see the difference yourself.

People only just discovering 60fps now, theres a reason people have been shouting off the rooftops for years it transforms a game.

If anyone see's the pulse headset or charging station in stock anywhere let us know! :)

Yup. The amount of "why do you even need 60fps!!!" posts over the years was ridiculous. I'm glad people have finally got to see the glory, albeit 3 generations too late. Consoles have finally got to 20 years ago PCs ;)

Imagine one day when these guys get to try 120fps in shooters

One day? If you have a Series X and a capable monitor/tv then you can already play Warzone and Gears 5 (I did both the other week)

What’s the wee round black disk for resting your controller on or something? It’s shit if it is..

 thats the stand for the console if you want to lay it flat.

If this isnt a troll, then it's a stand for the console

It won't sit straight (will wobble) and could have ventilation issues if you don't use it

Far from an ideal solution to be honest so I can understand why you wouldn't have known.

Yeah, for the masses I meant. It's not a standard at the moment, very few actually have those tvs.

Where as everyone can play in 60fps now and see the difference.

Just reminding everyone that one console already has it ;)

Haha shit, mines is flat too and it wobbles a bit must change it now... thanks guys

Was considering a charging dock for ease of use, but if it's connect to the ps5, logically it would only charge when the ps5 is on or in rest mode, right?

Might not be too much of an upgrade for me then, as I don't run the ps5 in rest mode, and my nearest plug sockets are near the sofa, so a bit awkward to keep a dock around that area.

How exactly do you power your playstation and TV if the nearest plug socket is over near your sofa?

Didn't explain it clearly. Got an extension by the tv and ps5, but it's completely full up (even had to remove the Xbox One plug to make space when I got this ps5). And I sealed up the cupboard door that it leads to for insulation reasons, so don't fancy breaking that open to install a bigger extensions

Is there anyone who has used the console on a 4K 120hz TV ? If so please what are your experiences.

I've got a Samsung 65' 4K LED but I'm contemplating going for either a QLED or OLED (running 120) however unsure if the change in the motion elements is really worth such hassle.

It’s not connected to the PS5. It’s a separate thing you plug in.

Has anyone else had issues with the trackpad on the DS5? It works as a button just fine, but half the times I've gone to swipe on it for something it's been completely unresponsive.

If it is broken, who do you think it'd be better to contact, ShopTo who I bought the console off, or Sony?

Putting the stand on is the very first thing in the little manual that comes with the console. I'll never understand people who don't at least check the manual of a brand new expensive piece of equipment.

Are there more games going to be added to the Black Friday sale? I'm interested in Who Want To Be a Millionaire to play with family over Xmas but it seems a rip-off at £35 for that type of game.

In general when does the PS Store usually have sales, on a weekly or monthly basis and when do they start?

There’s like a massive sale going on right now...

I'm aware of that @Bojan11 which is why I asked if more games will be added to the Black Friday sale or not.

No because there’s a massive sale going on right now. All the big releases that have come out this year besides the PS5 games, AC and COD have been discounted.

They don’t drip feed discounts.

Okay, thanks. I'm not complaining about the sale, I've got a couple of games from it but didn't know if there would be more on Black Friday weekend. I usually buy discs so I'm not that familiar with the PS Store.

The millionaire game came out only a few weeks ago, so might be on sale for Xmas. Disc version should be.

Just got done playing Blood and Truth on PSVR/PS5... It looks great, better image quality and sharp as feck

Sony are really shite at getting their message across, they had me and a lot of people thinking there wouldn't be any (or much of an) improvement on PS5. Idiots... Can't wait to see the rest of my VR games patched.

Not sure it supports anything more than 60hz?

Who the hell gets a PS5 and the first thing you do is read the manual  probably a wise idea though

Test it in Astrobot, there is a mode which uses nothing but the trackpad.

I would just buy a new one from Amazon and give them your current controller back if you got any problem. @DixieDean is a expert at that. Just make sure you haven’t got a high returns rate at Amazon.

Prior to what the internet would lead you to believe rest mode has had no issues at all. I didn’t transfer any PS4 data and always exit the game before putting it into rest mode.

I've rolled the dice on rest mode since last night so I can charge my contollers.

There were no issues this morning so touch wood it doesn't crash during the day.
