Some of these are decent
Nah, making the switch to PC. Its funny watching you guys pre-order 17 PS5s just to ensure that you get one
How much of a waste would it be to buy a PS5 without a TV that features all the fancy stuff that it can use? I'm currently looking for a new set but it seems that my screen size limitations will mean it will be rather basic.
Don't worry about any of that as long as you're happy with your tv. If you're going to upgrade, it's worth keeping features like HDMI 2.1 in mind, but if not, don't worry and just look at the games. How much of a waste would it be to buy a PS5 without a TV that features all the fancy stuff that it can use? If you don't really care too much about the different between 1080p and 4K resolutions, the framerates etc. It won't make too much of a difference. I don't care about those things too much, it's about the games for me, so wouldn't make a difference. How much of a waste would it be to buy a PS5 without a TV that features all the fancy stuff that it can use? Missed it again. Both times I've been working nights and woke up too late. Fcuk sake
Got one on Smyths Ireland, happy days, now I can cancel the amazon one that was being delivered up north.
I went for pick-up cause there's one like 10 mins from me. I've gotten stuff delivered from Smyths before anyway, they're reliable. It's all tracked through An Post I think.Same here, fair play. Did you order for delivery or pick up in store? Got my pre order first time around but was in such a rush I chose delivery, hope it doesn't bite me in the arse

My 2010 Panasonic 1080p Plasma handles motion better than any of these new OLED 4Ks. It also has a faster response time ya know, for serious gamers. Also My Philips cathode ray, with built in vcr, and the vcr doesn't play tapes anymore, has analogue response, which is essential for any proper gamer. New TVs can slightly improve toys like the Play Station or Fisher Price (just don't expect to be a true gamer on them) but otherwise what you have right now will be fine. Anyone telling you that you need a new flatscreen to replace your old flatscreen, for this console, is a clown. How much of a waste would it be to buy a PS5 without a TV that features all the fancy stuff that it can use? I have 2 PS5's pre-ordered and not a single game I want to buy for it.
Maybe I've made a mistake.
Ah well, it least it'll look good? Or.. well.. massive? At least it'll be massive.
I have a question. If I managed to buy one from very, they have taken the money, provided an order number, but so far haven’t sent a confirmation email, am I safe or should I be worried?

What does the status on your account say? I got an email from Very two days ago confirming my order was on track and expected to be delivered on release date.
Surely it only works if you buy the game digitally? How do these free upgrades work? With FIFA 21 as an example. Do you buy the game, keep the receipt then return and they will swap it for a PS5 version?

I don’t think so. I’ve read you can’t upgrade from disc version to digital and vice versa. I remember coming home when I got my PS4 with upgraded versions of Call of duty Ghosts and whatever FIFA was out at the time. But I can’t remember how it worked.Surely it only works if you buy the game digitally?
Oh so it’s not like when the PS4 came out. No PS5 versions of the game? You need the PS4 disc inserted in the console to play the upgraded version.
I believe it worked like this for the PS4 as well, when you insert the PS4 disc into the PS5 ot will recognise and update accordingly.Oh so it’s not like when the PS4 came out. No PS5 versions of the game?
