That was certainly my plan. I'm more excited by Cyberpunk than the initial PS5 games anyway.
Also can upgrade Fifa to the PS5 version for free.

Yeh that's tempting. I feel like I've just splurged so much on consoles and a new tv that I have nothing left for gamesAlso can upgrade Fifa to the PS5 version for free.
I assume so they knew how many they'd expect to sell and place an order? I agree though bit pointless on the customer side.
I've got to that stage where I can't be bothered to get up and change discs.
Yeah I know what you mean. I'm not sure there's a huge panic anyway there's still 2 months until it even releases, plenty more stock will come between then and now.But it made it pointless when people that decided on a whim yesterday they wanted one and essentially took it over someone who had likely registered their interest. Stock will come back in some stores because people will get buyers remorse and cancel the preorder.

So I might as well get Cyberpunk for the PS5 if it comes out same day right?
Games aren’t going to be 200gb.Get used to uninstalling and reinstalling games then. I'd be surprised if the system can hold more than 3 games at a time.
You can on Argos. That's what I've done, but feels weird ordering a PS4 game to play on the PS5. I've yet to find anywhere I can preoder Spiderman or Demon's Souls though.

War zone is the exception i think. I have the 1TB pro and around 23 games downloaded to it. Talk that games won’t be as big because they won’t have to duplicate stuff because of the SSD, but we’ll wait and see.Warzone says hi. Games will keep getting bigger and bigger.

It isIs the PS5
Expandable Storage?
I thought part of the new tech said otherwise as they don't have to repeat as many assets due to the additional power.Warzone says hi. Games will keep getting bigger and bigger.
Expandable Storage?
I mean I'm not sure how it'll work. A lot of games seems to be really utilising the SSD speed and I don't know how that would be impacted reading from an external drive. I know very little about these sorts of things though. Someone like @Redlambs might be able to answer you better.
Read on one site that you will be only able to store games on the expandable drive but would have to move it back across to the console to actually play the game - not sure if this is true or not.

Speaking to GameSpot, Jason Ronald explained that Series X’s hardware decompression allots as limited space as possible on the SSD for games to consume. It significantly drops all CPU overhead typically associated with run-time decompression. “This includes BCPack, which is designed specifically for compressing texture data that often is one of the largest contributors to overall game size… to help compress the actual size of the assets,” he said.
Developers can also take advantage of a platform feature to only install the pieces of the game players need, thereby minimizing the amount of content that needs to be installed or downloaded to the SSD.

1st world problems, eh?I agree with this. I prefer disks, but changing them is a faff. I dont know why the console cant hold 3/4 disks and it just flips between them internally. I used to have a CD player which could do this years ago!

I had one in the trunk my car in the late 90s and it was a Sony too, which proves they had the technology even back then. WHat are you hiding from us, Sony!?!I agree with this. Hopefully I'll be able to get a ps5 when it gets restocked at a later date. Sold out everywhere. UK gets all the good shit.
Yeah but at least most of the other sites are from the UK. Very, Shopto, john Lewis etc. All Ireland have to rely on smyths, currys, gamestop or Argos and there was nothing from neither. Btw did you get the ps5? Hope so man.Nope. Me and Elvis had to fight dodgy links from Amazon. It was chaos.

Thats good to hear. Glad some guys on here got it. I tried amazon but damn they went in minutes. Plus I'd like to get it on the day of release. But for amazon I'd have to wait another week. Another bonus for ireland . Only a matter of time they'll restock and do it properly this time.Yeah got lucky with GAME all of a sudden opening preorders late at night right after conference. Then ordered one from Amazon as if I had a choice I rather go Amazon for the added bonus that if consoles faulty I can return it easily.
Will it be better playing PS4 games on a PS5 or no difference? Not really excited by any of the upcoming PS5 games coming out.
Wow didn't think box would have enough stuff to be helpful. Congrats! And from the ashes.....A phoenix is reborn!
Managed to get a pre-order at Box.co.uk. Had to go digital in the end but at this point, I really don't care. They seem to be guaranteeing release day delivery so that should all be good and I had it confirmed after waiting on the phone for 48 minutes! Special mention to @Bojan11 @esmufc07 and @Tiber amongst others. Finally can relax...
Good luck to the rest of you guys, it's truly a brutal battlefield out there.
