Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

seriously, flush chasers are the scum of the universe. i hit pocket 9's pre flop, raise the pot 4x, everyone folds but this cnut, flop comes out 9 heart, 4 spades, 3 clubs. i hit the nuts, raise up big, he calls me to the turn, 7 of clubs it is. on the turn, I then raise the pot 4x again, HE CALLS ME AGAIN! so i'm think feck my life if river turns over a club I'll murder some little bollox. and there it is, i know in my heart of hearts this little cretin was calling my big raises with nothing, hoping he gets the 4-6% hit and he does, I bet big again, he calls, and turns over a jack of clubs and a ten of clubs.

lost €40. still up by €50 profit so I'll take that and run for now, play a tenner table instead of those €100 ones.

p.s i'm coming on

You raised the pot x4 with pocket 9s?

@DatIrishFella

Also he went in with J,10 suited. Nowt wrong with that. The flop offered a shot at a straight and a flush and the turn offered him 17 cards to complete either of those. With a flop of 9,4,3 he knew the best you had was a high pocket pair or a low 3 of a kind so he had every right to pay for a look at the turn.

When is PS Plus going to get a decent PS4 game?

Dream on.

It's quite ridiculous honestly. Yes there have been a (very) few good games on it, but not a single proper big release game. Not even a previous gen remaster. You'd expect games like Thief, AC Black Flag, Bound by Flame etc by now.

We did get DriveClub, which was cool, but I agree there has been a lack of big titles. Some of the smaller, indie games have been great though and personally, I would have never played them if they hadn't been on PS Plus.

You got feck all with Driveclub though tbh. A couple of hours, that's it.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed and still enjoy Rocket League and some others like Outlast but it's a joke that it's been 2-3 years and something like Thief/Knack hasn't been on it yet.

With so many remasters out there, you'd think they could chuck us a Sleeping Dogs/Tomb Raider etc.

True - although Tomb Raider has been reduced a number of times - picked it up for under 10 a couple of weeks ago.

Anyone else looking forward to Firewatch? It;s out next Tuesday (9/2) and is priced at $20, so should be a similar figure over here.

I love how this game looks - absolutely stunning, and it sounds as thought the story and writing is top notch too.

Apparently there will be a theme available - not usually one to bother about themes, but given how good the visual design is on this game, think I will get that.

Have read that the game is about 6 hours long - which fits the price point I guess.

Drive club wasn't even the full game. Even then, i believe it wasn't part of the instant game collection, just something they promised on the PS4 release that never happened.

I agree compared to how the instant game collection on the PS3, people with PS4 are getting shafted. I picked up so many big titles for free on PS3, here iv'e got a few, admittedly very good, indie games, but nothing major apart from Ground Zeroes.

Expected to see at least Knack and Killzone on there by now.

The sales/discounts are pretty good however, i got uncharted collection and last of us for about £7 each.

Are you? Since when?

That's pretty cool, I've heard good things about Singapore. How'd you land that?

I'm 28 Bred, all travelled out for a while!
Since the start of the month thereabouts. Flying home on Friday. On site with a customer for the month.

They have a shopping centre dedicated to tech stores.

Anyone played The Witness?

Yes, definitely pick it up if you enjoy puzzle games, some people might be put off by the price for an indie game but there's a lot to discover in the game world and there's plenty of game time in there, and the puzzles strike a good balance of simplicity in the key to solve the puzzle (you're basically drawing a line from a to B) but clever enough to have you racking your brain for the correct solution.

Can't make my mind up on whether to try The Witness or not, lots of good reviews, but a lot saying it's very slow to move about and the puzzles are very samey.

Few have said it's basically a crap Myst.

I'd assume those saying it's very slow to move about haven't discovered the run button, which doesn't give me hope they are doing to well in the game either.

The puzzles are very samey, in that they're all maze based puzzles and you have to draw the correct pathway to complete them but that's to allow them to combine different types of the puzzles to increase the complexity as you go along. They're very cleverly done though as you go along and you'll sometimes have to think outside the box to complete them. There's a lot more than meets the eye with the island too with lots of surprises to discover but as far as storyline or narrative goes it's very sparse (so far) but I'm still finding it intriguing. I haven't played Myst so can't really compare.

Heard on the PlayStation Blogcast that there will be a dynamic Firewatch PS4 theme by Ollie Moss. I bet it's beautiful. The time of day supposedly changes to reflect your real clock.

Hitman on PS4: Beta and Story Details Revealed

There is a world beyond yours, where economics and luxury collide with violence and power. Welcome to a world of assassination, a dangerous place of hidden violence where secret deals and bloody murder decides who holds power. It is a world where agencies such as the ICA work in the shadows to bring balance to the power struggle.

The world of assassination is an expression of the ongoing game world we have built over the last 15 years at Io-Interactive since the release of the very first Hitman game. It is the setting for past, present, and future Hitman games.

Episodic Storytelling and Narrative
Hitman will launch on March 11th as a truly episodic game experience with a major live component. The episodic nature of Hitman allows us to craft both individual stories centred on Agent 47’s targets as well as longer season stories involving 47, Diana Burnwood, the ICA, and an entirely new main cast.

The structure is inspired by contemporary TV series’ and will unfold over multiple seasons. To begin with, the overall story and the individual mission stories run in parallel but as the first season progresses, the tracks will merge and become one.

Before That, the Beta
The Hitman Beta will be available first on PS4 starting February 12th. You can guarantee your access right now by pre-ordering either the Full Experience or Intro Pack via PlayStation Store. The Hitman Collector’s Edition will also include access to the beta, and full details on that are up on the dedicated CE page. Whichever version you choose to pre-order, you’ll also get the Blood Money Requiem Pack.

As well as being the first to play the Beta, PS4 players will also get exclusive access to The Sarejevo Six. These are six bonus contracts that tell a self-contained side-story revolving around former members of a paramilitary unit called CICADA. Agent 47 will travel the world in pursuit of his targets, with one contract available in each location from the game.

The first PS4 exclusive contract will be available when the game launches on March 11th. We’re calling it “The Director.” Your target is Scott Sarno, Director of European Operations for the CICADA private military corporation. He is a thirty-year veteran of clandestine operations and has been linked to a number of questionable operations in Europe and the Middle East as far back as the mid-nineties. He is highly trained and incredibly observant, you should expect him to be accompanied by several CICADA agents at all times.

We’ll see you on February 12th for the Hitman Beta!

I am now!

I love these slower paced and more mundane games, that aren't so in your face about the objective and story. It's a good time to be a gamer, I'd say :)

Apparently Red Dead Redemption is available on the Xbone, any such plans for backward compatibility on the PS4?
