Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

Ordered a new PS4 controller last night, the build quality better be a step up from the launch controllers because they're abysmal. Anyone know if the battery life is improved? It's the glacier white controller.

I bought a red one and it seems a lot better in quality than the one that came with the console. Battery wise it's no better though.

Bought a brand new White PS4 for my birthday and everyday when i get back from work i just want to zone out and play FIFA but my Mrs keeps moaning at me. I wish i had more time to play without having her on my case. I miss being single!!

There is a headphone plug on the DS4 just get a decent set plug it in there and voila no more naggy wife..

The build quality is clearly better I for one have not got that battery life problem, I get 12 hours of playing out of mine easy..

Appears the PS+ games for March are:

PS4 - Valiant Hearts
PS4 - Oddworld New N Tasty
PSV, PS4, PS3 - Counterspy
PSV, PS4 - OlliOlli2
PS3 - Papo & Yo
PS3 - Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishmen

Four PS4 games tomorrow for us, nice.

So the delay because dishonored was supposed to be one of the games and the developers pulled out.

That's a great month of games in my opinion, people will moan about anything if they are going to moan about that.

Interesting VR news out of GDC.

Project Morpheus

New specs

1920 x 1080
5.7 inch OLED
100 Degree FOV
120HZ Refresh Rate
120 FPS targetted.

"Developers building games for VR are encourages to target 120 FPS. But for those looking for high graphics, we offer the option to render games at 60 FPS but output at 120 FPS"

"We feel 120hz is ideal for VR. And yes, PS4 was actually designed to handle native 120 FPS output which we haven't talked about publically in the past."

First half of 2016 release date targetted, that's much sooner than I thought.

I will perform shiv executions on all of you if ya dare to play Factions without me.

I fancy playing a story driven game. Is Watch_Dogs worth it for £15?
It's all right but there are better games out there. For this price you can give it a go though, I don't feel it's as bad as people made it out.

I'd say so, it's not a bad game really, was just overhyped and people got disappointed due to the hype, I actually thought it was a pretty solid game. I'd pick it up for £15, because lets face it, they'll improve it and make a watchdogs 2 which should be better,so might as well get it on the series now.

It's worth a go for £15, though I found the story is a bit meh and cliche'd, and the main character has the personality of that really boring priest from Father Ted. The gunplay is pretty good though and while the hacking aspect doesn't really reach it's potential its still a decent effort.

I still don't get the fuss about the characters personality  I thought it was fine, he just seemed hollow due to what had happened, that's how I took it anyway.

You guys are as much use as Nun's tits, I'm no better off than when I first asked.

Any other suggestions for story driven games that will be in the bargain bucket now? I have no interest in Killzone though.

I just want something to tide me over until Bloodborne.

Tomb Raider Definitive edition ?

What's with all these big updates released lately? Shadow of mordor, destiny, cod, dragon age, the system one... Real annoying!

Dragon Age had an update last night. Finally a storage box. Pity that I could have done with it weeks ago.

80 hours in now and finally the end in sight

why are they annoying? I'd rather the games were updated to get rid of bugs, and the system updated to be approved than not??

Doesn't the PS4 auto-update anyway so you don't have to worry?

He may have updates turned off when in standby or whatever, or may never put it in standby. Nothing worse wanting a quick 30mins on a game, switching the playstation on and being hit with an update which takes that long to download and install.

Updates and installing really do annoy me, but after the initial install on Xbox One everything else is done for me whilst I sleep. I never notice the updates. Assumed it was the same on PS4.

I think it is the same...although I dont use the function on either console

It should be if you keep it in standby.

Wolfenstein probably the most though followed by Watch Dogs

Went to GAME and wolfenstein was £15 so got that. It's the one I've heard the most positives about. Can't believe AC has dropped in price so quickly. Black flag was listed for more too.

Unity isn't as good as black flag imo, I was really looking forward to Unity after playing black flag, but everything about it seems worse, it's a real disappointment to me.
