This is an extreme take. Lumping together what Ronaldo did with the other is ridiculous. Just a bad as Ronaldo, really?I can somewhat understand non-match day players leaving but it does absolutely nothing for camaraderie.
Despite all the ‘clean sheet’ for players spin & the way that certain players who left on a free this Summer we’re banded as ‘the problem’, the least you can all do is finish out the game. Ronaldo being part of the match day squad then leaving is a terrible example but those who weren’t but did the same are just as bad for me. Lots of youngsters out there, cheer them on.
They'd just played a game a day earlier and we given the day off. They decided to show up and watch the game as spectators, with no obligation to even be there. I mean some who weren't in the squad that day stayed home and took advantage of their day rest after playing a game in another country just 24 hours ago. The fact that they even showed up to watch the game in person is already good enough and didn't have to, could have stayed home and enjoy their rest day.
It's ridiculous to claim that what they did is just as bad as what Ronaldo did when in actuality they didn't even do anything wrong. Players who come as spectators, sitting on directors boxes leave the game early all the time.
