Pick two legends to come in today

Any system that Amorim was playing Keane would be my first choice. An absolute monster of a player and leader. It must have been an unreal lift to have him as a teammate.
Keane demanded his teammates maintain high standards.

Obviously Cantona. Player that have had the biggest impact to United team in the last 30-40 years. Then it's between Keane, Scholes and Giggs. Giggs would solve left wing problems. We desperately need ball playing midfielder with football IQ. Scholes would bring that. But after all this team screams some balls and leadership. So my second choice is Keane. Scholes would be third and Giggs fourth.

e. And when i think it twice, it could be Scholes also. Cantona alone would bring that leadership and winning attitude. Scholesy would upgrade midfield massively.

Beckham for assists and set pieces
Ruud for pure goals.

Beckham scores and assists 30 goals and ruud scores just as many.

Few candidates.

Either Keane or Scholes for midfield.

Our attack needs something. 06-09 Ronaldo may not quite fit this system perfectly given the narrow attackers. Rooney may be a better fit either as the lone striker or the supporting attackers.

Evra at LWB would be an asset. Beckham at RWB would be interesting to see.

Wayne and CR7

Their versatility, pure talent and chemistry

They can play every position in Amorims front three + wingbacks with devastating efficacy

Rooney and Ronaldo.

We have an adequate team with a lot of decent to good players. Adding 2 world class, talismanic attackers changes everything.

Giggs would be incredible in both left sided roles in this team also.

Cantona and Ronaldo. Two magicians.

Even with 30% ball possession, we most likely still win the game.

Rooney and Ruud. I would have picked RVP and Rooney but I don't think RVP qualifies as a legend.

Additionally, I would be fascinated to see how Beckham would do as a RB in this era. He would instantly become the best dead ball specialist in the premier league straight away.

Doubling down on Cantona. Never has a single player had such an influence on a team in my life time. From the moment he arrived you just got the feeling of this is it.

He elevated the level of every player massively and the likes of Beckham and Co learned an example of what a top player was both on the pitch and at the training ground.

On Match day he was simply magnificent , doing things that just amazed time and again.

After his suspension for the Kung Fu kick he single handedly won a title , a long streak of one goal victories where he got the goal ( clinical does not even cover it) and there was a game he was found on the our goal line clearing with his head. He was simply a different class.

Average players became top players because of the standards he set and the confidence he gave them.

I would play him as a 10. He would create Hoijlund 15 goals a season with out breaking sweat.

His goal against Liverpool in the FA cup final was simply ridiculous. Ball waist high every one on the line and he finds the smallest space.

Then there was also his physical stature , he was never shrugged off the ball and was deceptively quick.

Would be interesting to see some chance conversion stats as the memory is fuzzy now but it’s hard to recall moments where you think he should have scored but didn’t, the memory just says from a lot of his goals “how”.

An absolute master.

Keane will always be then number one choice for me with this question. The quality he brings on the pitch combined with everything off the pitch can't be matched.

Rooney would be the other.

he would flush the turds out and showcase leadership and character for others to follow him as example

He would also cause his own toxicity, like he did when he was booted out of the club and be sent off often. With 13 red cards, and 7 in the premier league he has joint 2nd most red cards in premier league history

He was a fantastic player when he wasnt getting sent off and causing problems off the pitch, but he isnt someone to remove toxicity like Mourinho wouldnt be a manager to remove it.

What an absolute load of bollocks.

cause toxicity? every single teammate would only have words of praise for him and his teams speak for themself.

as for the deoartment, its just what side you want to take...his or the clubs(fergie and co.), dont want to go into that but that was at the end of his career so almost irrelevant.

he was a fantastic player sending offs or not, one of the best midfielders ever not just in PL.

Beckham and Giggs. Solves our lbw and rwb issues, corners, free kicks, energy on the wings and improves our pace and flair instantly.

Really difficult when only taking about 2 players.
Plus us playing this really unusual system by most players' preferences.

We are really weak up front, so putting in Van Nistelrooy gives you argiably the best finisher and lone frontman we've had.

Then what makes the most impact, prime Keane, Scholes, Ferdinand, Evra, Rooney?

Probably go with Keane as the middle always looks lacking too.

As much as I think Keane would dominate this set up i think we are missing guile and tactical intelligence. Scholes was the smartest player we’ve had in my opinion and his position alone could help us build forum the back more effectively.

Up front Rooney in his first season was one of the most exciting talents I’ve ever seen and I think we miss that at Old Trafford. Plus his energy and tenacity would hopefully compensate for the lack of Roy!

All of them

Schmeichel
Stam Rio vidic
Beckham keane Scholes Evra
Rooney Cantona
Ronaldo

Keane and Robson - would make us so strong in central midfield that we would get better both defensively and going forward
