He was really damn good tbh.
Been there, done that forever. Most accept his talent, but it has become an issue that the way his fitness be, he's stagnated thus unable to go to the next level by ironing out his mistake with experience. A good CB with plenty great performance but error prone and unreliable for selection.I thought he was excellent, wasn't showing any signs that he hadn't played for a while. If he can stay clear of injury the need for another centre back isn't so important.
I don't think he was good last night, seemed like everything he did was last ditch and barely hanging on. I hope he doesn't start against Kane, after his last Wembley fiasco.
He didn't look very assuring to me, but maybe I'm too harsh on him. I'm still bitter fro that performance against Kane.Yeah would go with Smalling and Bailly. Jones was very poor against Kane last time we played Spurs.
This game he was good though, he might have done few last ditch tackles but those are not because of his mistakes. Bournemouth attacked well and he did well to block few shots and stop few attacks.
There were a couple of times where he seemed to be limping but he seemed to shake them off.Was he limping towards the end or did I imagine it?
He has been limping so much last five seasons, maybe limping has become his natural way of walkingThere were a couple of times where he seemed to be limping but he seemed to shake them off.

Yes, look at him. How did he fell on his ass in the first place?! I don’t want to see that against Kane.
Play him at rightback on Saturday - as someone alluded to a few posts up, he should be a Wes Brown type utility man; that’s a position he could hold down long term IMO, and negate the need to buy another right back until Laird or O’Connor mature.
Why use a tool that's always broken - for fixing things that breaks?
