He is our worst CB, you simply can never fully trust him. Smalling has his limitations but I'd much rather him in the team over Jones.

He's Einstein & Tesla compared to our attacking players today.
Rojo is a far better CB than him and gets about twice as much shit from people.

I hate centre halves that can't head the ball. Two simple long balls led to what was nearly a goal, and also what should have almost certainly been a goal, all because Jones can't deal with them.
People complain about Smalling (who remains our best centre half) but he wins these headers for fun.
Twice caught the wrong side of the ball, giving away possession in dangerous areas and a completely brainless act in the box that led to the penalty. Just a ridiculous half of football that has contributed to unease all over the pitch.

The whole ground could see he was going to cut back, apart from Jones. What a brainless fecker he is.
I just don't know what was going through his head to make him think sliding in there was the best option.

Wasnt great in the first 10-15 mins, every time Bournemouth came and attacked us especially with long balls over the top. He looked lost positinally.

The Bournemouth player does pretty well to sell that ,there was a fair amount of space between him and Jones. Jones going to ground happens 7/10 times in those situations in football so I'm not going to throw stones in his direction.

Honestly think he might have some eye sight issue. It's incredible how often he seems to run past/misjudge the ball, might also explain why he's so poor in the air for someone of his athleticism.

Someone as regularly injured as he is would have to be exceptional to justify keeping around in the squad.

Shambolic performance today, from start to finish. Barely put a foot right.
He gave away the pen, but he couldn't control what we did in the final third. We bottled it today.

He was very good before his little injury. 1 bad mistake doesnt change anything. Bailly, Smalling and Rojo were all worse in the cup final.

We still should have won yes but if he doesn't dive in like a braindead idiot we aren't 1-1.
Other than the poor choice to go to ground and giving away the penalty, I dont think he was any worse than his partner. Rojo got away with his mistake, Jones didnt. As a CB unit they were clearly troubled today. Rojo was outpaced and muscled for the chance he got away with, Jones was punished for his rash challenge in the box.
Cost us the game. Disgraceful and he should hang his head in shame.
And if Ibra scores the pen we win 2-1 and people don't really dwell on it.
Your arguments for defending players are always blaming someone else for being worse.
