PES 2008 Demo Out Now!

his dribbling is so realistic, looking forward to this, will be getting fifa too though, I like to confuse myself with the long pass/shoot buttons being swapped around on the 2.

Love being one on one with the keeper, and then long passing it

Hmm i've played the demo a couple of times and i'm warming to it.

Its very different from the previous versions of the game with a lot of improvements but it takes a while to get used to the gameplay. The graphics are pretty decent, especially the player's individual looks and mannerisms which they worked on.

And its tougher to score goals; i've still not managed to beat Brazil on proffessional; mind you they only give you 5 minutes in the demo.

Will definitely purchase the game. still have not taken a successful dive yet.

I have. Earlier today, I was Deco I skipped by some Turkish guy and as I cam e up to take the other one on he was side by side me and I just hit the deck on got a free kick. Tried it with Ronnie ran into the box and someone brushed by me did the same thing and got booked for it, was more convincing then Deco's mind.
 
What's the defending like ? I find it so annoying on pes6 when the defenders just run anywhere, totally opposite to where the ball is going. Has this been improved ?

And also offsides and the keepers positioning, have they been improved ?

Some of the defending AI, even on the top level is shocking, I had one opposition defender run away from the ball as I was running towards the goal

Also the keepers a fecking hard to beat this year, they block most close shots, but drop loads of balls in the air too :wenger:

If it's your own defenders surely you can hit super cancel to regain control of your own defender from the sort of designated path they've been assigned??
 
PC demo is out!!! It’s a big download 1.2GBs!!! Took me over 2 hours, it was a very inpatient wait.

I have played 2 games and first impressions are ok, however it reminds me a little of Fifa which is bad, though I can’t really remember which one.
The gameplay is pretty good, better then PES6, crossing is really sensitive, I have over hit the ball many times.
The close ups of the players are really good, they look life like, the pitch looks rubbish though, they couldn't chosen a worse one, very annoying, gets a bit blurry, I hope they sort it out in the full version.
I have only scored once and Tevez was the scorer, he skined a Brazilian defender and rifled it in the bottom corner.:devil:
I also played France and Henry took a massive dive in the box and was booked, the scumbag!

A bad thing about it or for me at least is that you need a decent machine to play it, I still have a athlon 2400xp and 9800 pro graphics card so I have to set the settings low, therefore I doubt I will be getting it on the PC as I cant be bothered to upgrade, never mind I will just put money towards a PS3 instead :D

Anyway I am gonna get back:)

Finally, I've played a demo on PC.

The graphics are very good but new changes in gameplay are quite significant, so I need to practice more.

The matches are faster, CPU trying to create a bigger pressure on our defenders which is superb and make the game a lot more intresting.

Animation is also mint. Great movement of players like Kaka or Ronaldo makes that they're like really stars, playing the best football on earth.

I like it.
 
Still no demo for the PS3 Version. This is driving me nuts!!!
 
Does anyone know the PC requirements to play this?

Edit: Never mind, it was on the first page. Won't be able to try it because of my shit PC.
 
demo is good, graphics look nice (especially if set on high settings and 1280x720), gameplay is smooth and fluid and the new user interface looks a lot like the Vista Aero UI of Windows Vista
 
Some of the stats on players are questionable. Fabregas for starters is way underated on the game.

Any one has vids of the gameplay of the game. Heard impressive things about Ronaldo's style of dribbling in this game. Would like to see a video of it.
 
Does anyone elses PC demo go really slowly.Also how do you dive?
