I have GTA4 as mine. Might change though Avril Lavigne sounds fr to tempting not to have.

I like the new Fifa seems pretty smart. Should have the new PES tomorrow night.

Theres nothing uncool about having Avril Lavigne in 30" .

I've liked Fifa since 06. Reckon I will probably get 08 instead of PES, despite the abuse that will undoubtedly soon follow...

Same here. I despised PES6.
 
ISS was made by the same people who made the PES series, there was then a break up, the talented designers, programmers etc went onto make PES where as the others left behind continued under the ISS name and produced the shitty version for the GC.
The same thing has happened with Championship & Football manager, though they are developed up 2 different publishers
 
Any news on when the demo for PES 08 is gonna be available to download for the PS3?
 
any news on how it plays?

will be getting this on the 360 for no other reason than I get cramp in me hand from the ps3 controller. I know it is meant to be the best controller there is, but it doesnt fit in my hand properly

I used to love it, I spent hours after school on it during the wet winter months however PES6 i hated for the 360.
 
just been playing the demo. the demo itself has an arcade feel to it.

gameplay took me 1 match to get used to it again. there are some new touches to it, i saw one guy attempt a crossfield pass, which bounced way over his team-mates head and into touch.

i beat turkey 3-0 (theres a choice of about 6 international teams in the demo) with aimar scoring 2, one a cracking diving header at the near post and crespo scoring from just inside his own half which ive never done before. He belted it, it bounced just before the keeper and swerved into the corner..absolute peach

still far from finished i reckon but promising

btw tevez looks absolutely spot on

I bought PES6 for the 360 and PS2

Wont be making the same mistake again.
 
anyone tried Diving yet, i had all my players booked trying to win a freekick which is good, didnt want it to be too easy to get freekicks by Diving
 
I've just tried it, got booked every time :lol:

The game is looking good though, desperate to play the full version
 
Its great, getting a bit bored of having to sort the formations out every time you start a match though, the line-ups are strange to say the least...

Will be even better once playing with a better camera angle, its impossible to play properly with it that close up.
 
The PS3 Demo will be out on thursday, seeing as Sony only update the UK store on thursdays... I was hoping the US store would have it, but they don't have it yet either.

yeah i gave up changing formations and changing players and just play with the default settings

Broadcasting 1 is the ultimate camera angle on the other's
 
me and my mates have been playing it all day on the 360. i hated PES6 for the 360 but this one is fecking superb. it plays like "pro evo" should. the graphics are amazing. passing is delightful.

the little tricks that ronaldo does are incredible to watch aswell.

can't wait!
 
anyone had a pen against them yet? the view is weird, its from the side of the keeper on the goal line
 
i just won a freekick by diving and got ribery booked for the foul! im portugal so it was realistic :)

I assume its so that you can try and read which way they are going to put it. Only had one so far and I went the wrong way, so didn't really work...
 
ye i thought that too, only as soon as the player kicks the ball it changes view so you cant judge it

Fantastic game. Miles better then PES6 is. You can just hit the sprint button with Ronaldo and run at defenders, it's brilliant. The tackling has also improved and the ref is a lot better concerning tackles where you clearly get the ball 1st.

Looks very promising.
