Would be very surprised if they spend less than £300 Mill this Summer. They spent £285 Mill in 17/18 & that's when FFP was a thing. They have the Sane money & may pull in another £100 Mill for the likes of Stones, Cancelo, Mendy & other assorted dross.

You are right that FFP is still in place. It can be circumvented by those who want too though. The snag is the only ones who want to circumvent it are the State owned clubs. Where other owners are trying their best to get money out the State owned clubs are desperate to put money in.
City have beaten an FFP rap twice. UEFA couldn't even make a case stick when they had eye witnesses, fingerprints & a written confession. Absolutely no chance City are remotely afraid of UEFA now. They've beaten FFP.

As for City, I just don't like them at all and have zero respect for them! They did nothing to get where they are other than win the lottery so their fans can't be surprised that no one respects them.

I'm pretty sure that Klopp would have been able to achieve the same, if not more at City than he has achieved with Liverpool. Klopp has just wiped the floor with the so called best manager in the league this season. We'll see how the chequebook fares for City in the summer but I imagine they'll chuck money around like confetti and get some players in to bridge that huge gap.

I’m in the rarity, but I was rooting for you lot all year over them. Our clubs are very similar and I do think there is underlying respect between us if you dig deep enough.

Both have a tradition of attacking, entertaining football and we both make up the two most successful clubs in English football. Nothing there not to respect. City have tried to make a rivalry with us over the last 2 or 3 years which is never going to happen.
He wouldn’t have. Klopp had one chance to get things right with the Coutinho money and absolutely hit a home run with van Dijk and Alisson. Managing with Origi and Lovren as bench options. He is a far superior manager in my opinion.

Raising suspicion is one thing, getting the evidence to prove it is another. What if City just provides manipulated financial documents showing they have revenues to enable them to spend lets say 500m in a summer? What can FFP really do in that case if City decide not to cooperative in their investigation started because of a suspicion? Just punish them again for not cooperating as CAS did for 10m? I really don't know what FFP can really do there.

They just earned 50M off Sane, while they can cash in on Zinchenko as Wolves were willing to pay around 20-30M for him 2 seasons ago, Jesus also can be used is swap deals for either Koulibly, Skriniar or Martinez, both Napoli and Inter have shown interest in Jesus, Cancelo can also still be sold for around 40-50M or used as a swap deal, so they can still make some big changes in the team, while recouping cash in and swapping players. With the whole covid don't teams have a slightly bigger budge to play with?

I was thinking about this during the game. I think how much we’ve missed Fernandinho’s presence in midfield has gone under the radar. It’s largely because Rodri looks very solid on the ball and doesn’t make many visible errors, but his nous of when to press, when to hold back, when to foul etc is not at the level of a veteran like Fernandinho yet. I have faith Rodri can become an excellent player in that role but until that happens the team is lacking something.

It's a strange one with City and Pep - normally this would be the time he moves on. It seems mad to say it given how good City were for the 2 seasons before this one but it feels like they've lost some of that fear factor and need a bit of a rebuild.
