'Pep' Guardiola sack watch

Why are pundits etc.. acting as if Pep is the one that created the idea of inverted fullbacks? If I remember rightly even Sheffield United were doing it a few seasons back when they got promoted
They were playing with overlapping cbs, don't think pep invented inverted fullbacks though.

Posted this in the other thread. He won't be there much longer. This was his Messi WC moment. There isn't much more for him to do at City.

Don't buy this when he has everything just as he wants at City so why would he leave

He genuinely does seem like someone that gets bored after a while. If he can leave that Barcelona job he can leave any job.

Maybe he could turn our national team into winners but no chance he would pick over Spain

b/c he likes challenges and he's now won everything at club level for City....he'll want a small break and then take on a new adventure in another country

Does he like challenges really? His career suggests otherwise...............

And no, not asking him to manage Burnley but can you picture him taking a huge and actual challenge like Klopp did taking over Liverpool?

agreed...he typically takes over a club that has serious financial backing but what i meant by challenge meaning a new country and see the challenge of winning trophies

did that with Barca, did that with Munich(minus the CL) and now he's done the treble with City......i could easily see him taking the PSG job due to the owners. One country i don't see him going is Italy simply b/c of finances. He could easily just take the Spanish National Team job as well but that day to day he might miss doing.

That woman really say to pep they’ve got the best fans in the world?  Ye of course you have. Fans that Chuck things at players during matches. Fans that your manager Has to constantly call out for being to quiet or not turning up.

Why do you lie? No chair has ever chucked a thing.

i know he's going to be in his basement penning letters like Stan when he sees this:

Hopefully he’ll leave soon and their fans can all go back to being miserable again, like when they were truly happy

Lost the ability to change that match tonight, seems they’re a bit more open to direct football than they have been for a while.
Will still win the league by April

I don't think they have invested wisely to be fair, their wingers are really average when Bernardo is not in great form and when they are missing De Bruyne. Grealish and Foden are shite.

We havent had a defence all season, and they've conceded 4 less than us, with the same number of clean sheets. Theyll still walk the league, but are bit more disjointed now.

They always look slightly disjointed in October/November. And by disjointed that means some teams take points of them and don't roll over.

Will put in another gear in the 2nd part of the season as always.

I know everyone expects them to have their typical second halves to the season but something looks very flawed with this team. Defense is crap and they really miss KdB. Fully expect Liverpool or Arsenal to win the title.

Don't think Liverpool are good enough this year, thankfully. I expect Arsenal to win it in a close battle with City, with Liverpool comfortably in 3rd place.

Don't think Liverpool need to be amazing to win it this year. This season won't need a 95 pointer imo. The way the top teams are playing, I think 85 will do and that gives Liverpool and Arsenal a fantastic chance.

City's squad is weaker (still excellent..) than it has been for a while. Gundoghan and Mahrez.. Cancelo.. he lost a centre half too. And Cole Palmer of course .. that's a lot of v v good, proper football players. I looked at their bench today and thought there isn't much there.

Surprised he took Doku off, he's explosive and a constant danger. Still a bit raw, and requires coaching.

They'd do well to go out early in the Fa Cup this year and concentrate on what matters. They just don't have as good and experienced a squad as last year, imo.
