Roid-rage is one hell of a thing.
They are already playing in a stadium with no fansHe said he'd see out his contract even if City gets relegated. Do you think he was bullshitting? It's hard to imagine a manager who always has the best of everything being content managing in a lower league, playing in a stadium with no fans.
Yikes.
Yikes.
Exactly that.“i love you so much but the things you do make me hurt you.”
I think his vice is more the kind you sniff and not the one you inject.Roid-rage is one hell of a thing.
He won't get sacked, certainly not in the summer. He has to take blame for how imbalanced our squad has become and certainly a lot of blame for setting us up to fail week in week out now but the reality is that when such a large portion of the squad is absolutely finished at the top level it would be extremely fickle sacking a manager that has dominated English football for 7 years.Genuinely think, he gets sacked in the summer but will be announced as mutual agreement. They'll give him the Club World Championship because of his previous achievements but he won't start next season.
Just like Jose, the fall is hard and fast. Pep's style has like Joses finally been found out, and its easily punishable. You see whats happening not just City, but Brighton and Spurs etc.. the sit 10 men high up thee pitch and keep the ball is coming to an end. Football moves in cycles and this one is over.
Pep will adapt or fall into the pack.

I think he would do better but don't think he sticks. Genuinely think the extension was to try and get some life in the squad for one last push. But and we have declined and are older. There is not reason to be shipping an average of 2-3 goals per game against any competent. He won't get sacked, certainly not in the summer. What we are seeing are a natural decline of a winning team combined with poor progression planning, and then escalated by the fact that the manager sticks with a style that doesn't protect the current personel at all instead of trying some damage limitation. It isn't like we are currently doing what we did 2 years ago but have been found out, the players simply can't play this style anymore because there are too many holes and ways to get at us that simply weren't there in the treble season. But it started to show already last year, and a year later with no refreshing in the key areas and more injury issues it has got much worse. I'd still realistically say the balance of probabilities leans towards Pep doing better after a rebuild than any other manager on the planet.
That being said, I would really have liked some damage limitation at points. But I think after the last decade we can stomach a couple of results like this. Today, specifically I think if we had cut out the individual mistakes and therefore the complete capitulation towards the end we were competetive enough against a team that is supposed to be title-contenders. The area for improvement is easy enough to identify so we need to stick it out a bit
He was never a hero, just as scummy in his barca days as player and manager. You either leave a hero, or you stay long enough to see yourself become the villain.
Tell that to the English TV pundits. The Catalan Messiah (minus the hair) has been held up to the skies as the greatest ever, even though they have been knee deep in shit and controversy. He was never a hero, just as scummy in his barca days as player and manager.
I don't expect anything like that from the media, unlike other people on here. Journalists are scum.Tell that to the English TV pundits. The Catalan Messiah (minus the hair) has been held up to the skies as the greatest ever, even though they have been knee deep in shit and controversy.
Oh I agree - just wanted an excuse to post a Dark Knight quoteHe was never a hero, just as scummy in his barca days as player and manager.
The double standards are sickening. Can you imagine if Fergie's United had as many accusations against them? We'd never hear the end of it.Tell that to the English TV pundits. The Catalan Messiah (minus the hair) has been held up to the skies as the greatest ever, even though they have been knee deep in shit and controversy.
They are still 4th. Still in the champions league. Some in this thread going on as if they're bad as United and that a sacking in inevitable is a bit wishful thinking.
Is their fall spectacular? or just a completely natural conclusion to winning everything for 7 yearsYes, but we fell from 8th to 13th. They fell from treble + 4 successive wins to having Kai Havertz and teens score against them. Their fall is more spectacular - ours is more gradual so less entertaining
Probably the same way United has signed all the players they have signed. How can City sign Marmoush, Borat, Vítor Reis and Porto's best player Nico González? Financial fair play truly is a joke.
Did United have made up sponsorship deals to cook the books? Does united have 115 charges? I must have missed that.Probably the same way United has signed all the players they have signed.
What does this even mean? You're complaining that City buys players that cost them aa much as the players United have bought this season. They have also sold players for a lot of money this season. Why wouldn't this be allowed in financial fair play?Did United have made up sponsorship deals to cook the books? I must have missed that.
What I'm saying is that I don't understand how a club under investigation, with 115 charges pending and with doubts about their revenue is able to keep doing this. United isn't under investigation for cooking the books, inflating comercial revenue or have any type of charges like City. Although badly United is just spending their hard earned money. What does this even mean? You're complaining that City buys players that cost them aa much as the players United have bought this season. They have also sold players for a lot of money this season. Why wouldn't this be allowed in financial fair play?
Yeah, I am not saying we haven't spent obscene amounts over the last decade or arguing about how we have got into our financial situation in the first place which people are well within their rights to do but any question about this window in particular are very misguided. We spent about 20 million in the summer on two players and have been sat firmly mid-table in the FFP league for quite a long time now. What does this even mean? So you want us to be temporarily punished before we are found guilty of something that you are only assuming we are guilty off? What I'm saying is that I don't understand how a club under investigation, with 115 charges pending and with doubts about their revenue is able to keep doing this. My problem isn't about this particular window. My problem is about how your club is ran, all the doubts regarding your management since your takeover, the charges etc. My problem isn't strictly about city though. I also dispise Chelsea or Newcastle. But that's just me, a paying associate of a traditional club who lives within their means. Not that I particularly blame you as a fan, I'm just against the rules that allow this to happen and that will end up ruining the competitive nature of football.Yeah, I am not saying we haven't spent obscene amounts over the last decade or arguing about how we have got into our financial situation in the first place which people are well within their rights to do but any question about this window in particular are very misguided. The thing tjat is unorecedented is the fact that we actually are adding these players in January, which we wouldn't be if the decline were even gradual. The squad is pretty much in freefall, and targets are both brought forward ahead of next summer and also plugging gaps that should have been plugged last season
I am not sure why any of this matter. They do comply under FFP at this point, their net spend over the past three seasons are not exactly huge, which would mean they have room for recruitment. It's really nothing odd about it.What I'm saying is that I don't understand how a club under investigation, with 115 charges pending and with doubts about their revenue is able to keep doing this. United isn't under investigation for cooking the books, inflating comercial revenue or have any type of charges like City. Although badly United is just spending their hard earned money.
I want this matter to be settled as quickly as possible without state interference. I want your club to be really punished if you are indeed guilty as I think you are.So you want us to be temporarily punished before we are found guilty of something that you are only assuming we are guilty off?
