Pep Guardiola agrees 1 year contract extension | Includes additional 1 year option

Ah, so public perception means this much to him  He's staying so he doesn't look like he's leaving a sinking ship when they get punished

The money he's getting off the books must be insane.

Could interpret that numerous ways, don't know what to make of that if anything at all.

Could throw out 5 or 6 theories though!

man wants to prove himself in a lower league. I can respect that.

in all seriousness, can't wait for the insufferable cnut to feck off.

City look pretty stale, would've thought a good time to move on

Not a surprise at all, baffling that so many on here had it as a foregone conclusion that this was his last season

This is a bizarre decision from City at this point, Pep is looking like a spent force at the moment and looked highly likely to walk away at the end of the season

Easy saying that after the fact.
I posted here weeks if not months ago that the reports around the club was that he would at least stay one more year. I wouldn't have been shocked if he left after this one, but most things pointed towards an extension

Given the cheating is coming to a head, yeah it's pretty surprising

Pretty obvious what this means with regards to the 115...

I'm still none the wiser.

He's unsure what will happen so it's a short term contract to reflect that?
City are unsure, see above?
He's confident they will be let off which is why he's signed at all?
As above but from City's perspective?
He's getting bored so is only signing short term deals?
Didn't Fergie have a rolling contract arrangement / short term stuff in the end, he's a powerful figure like he was so it's just something similar?

All seem plausible to me anyway.

about as clear an indication as you could get that they've bought their way out of punishment
