Paulo Dybala

Yeah, wage info coming from the continent is always net, not gross. If those are true Dybala wants to be our top earner.

Few rumors that he wants 10 million euros net, that would put him alongside De Gea with 350-370K per week (guess this includes all bonuses).

There’s a picture of Dybala with a United jersey doing the rounds. Woodward is in the frame too.

Hope this is legit!

Edit: It’s fake.

How much wage is Lukaku on? He can’t be far off that range

Around 230K per week and he is very far from that range. Dybala is already on 250K per week at Juventus and the quoted wages is after tax.

Also there are rumors that Lukaku will earn 9 million euros after tax (including bonus) at Juventus.

Why does a South American playing in Italy give a toss about what United have done in the past? It's a small carrot at best. The present is far more important, and rightly so.
You clearly don't know how huge the club you support is. Shame really.

Mature response. Ole clearly has a high intensity, high-press style with pace up front for counter attacks.

Dybala isn't typically a player you would associate with those attributes.

Unless of course he is played in the number 10 role, but then our midfield becomes unbalanced as Pogba would have to sit much deeper.
We have no real style or identity. We sure didn't look intense with high pressing counter attacks the last 2 months of the season. It all needs to be torn up and rebuilt from scratch, which I hope Ole has been using pre season to do

I suspect one of the negotiation ploys will be making him one of the cover stars on Pro Evolution Soccer 2020. Whilst it may seem trivial, to the modern player such things are very important.

I was cynical this would get done, and whilst I still have my doubts about the suitability, it's a transfer that has the potential to be an amazing addition, and proves that we still have the pulling power to sign the very top players. However, it also has the potential to be an absolute disaster. It's undoubtedly exciting though, but it just seems to be a move back to the "Galactico" strategy that has yet to work in living memory.

Hoping this is the exception.

I know how big we are. I'm also a realist who lives in the present and not the past (something we accused Liverpool fans of doing for the last 2 decades).
Man United isn't anywhere near the attractive proposition we used to be, because we've not had the success on the pitch. That is rightly the most important factor for any modern top footballer

Don't agree.

Too much money. I'd avoid. We need to settle an example and giving him such a huge salary certainly won't help. He should be honored to play for Manchester United.

It is similar money to what Lukau was paid.

It definitely feels like a Woodward buy after Solskjaer got his way with James and Wan-Bissaka.

With the inflated transfer fees, High profile swap deals will become more common. I'm seriously hoping this happens.

Have you seen any of the pre-season games?

You think Solskjaer wouldn't want Dybala? cmon! He's far more of his type of player than Lukaku was.

Do you work for EA?

"Pride and accomplishment"

We could sign Messi and the caf would complain we’re going to have to shoehorn him into the team

There is absolutely no reason not to want this to happen - it's a shot to nothing as Lukaku is out of favour so why not give it a go?

Probably. But for lesser players it's a risk. Signing big name players and shoehorning them into the side hasn't worked recently for us. Di Maria worked for 6 months until he gave up. Now Dybala could be a completely different story, but next year we could be shackled with an underperfoming player on high wages that has no real place in the team. I can see why the pessimism exists.
