Paulo Dybala

I see some sense in Dybala especially under ETH , if he wants him and we can get him on a decent wage and maybe 2 or 3 year contract i think its worth the risk . We really need to try get some good value in this window . Already done that with Erikson lets hope for a few more .

I'm a bit surprised about the reactions here. Dybala is class and probably the best player in the Serie A when fit. I somehow hope he joins Milan. Although they have won the title, I think individually they are behind Juve and Inter. Dybala would elevate their squad quality to the same level, IMO.

But Dybala at United or Arsenal would also be pretty exciting. A front three of Antony, Dybala and Sancho coached by Ten Hag would probably be my favorite EPL outfit

Dybala would make sense given that he would sell a lot of shirts .. he's very popular worldwide.

Free agent and apparently only wants reasonable wages so let's do it, will be our marquee signing instead of De Jong

I just can't understand how you people want us to sign a player that has lost 213 days and 39 games the last two years to injuries. Several of those days are muscle injuries that is a problem that tend to worsen with age. Doesn't matter how good a player he can't elevate the squad level and be a marguee signing when he doesn't play. And since when did it become a great idea to buy a player because of shirt sales, Pogba, Sanchez anyone?

I am a bit baffled that there is nothing going on here. Inter is set after getting Lukaku but surely there must be clubs interested in him.

Still won’t stop him playing crap football or falling out with everyone though if things don’t go his way.
Second season worth the bet to win Serie A if he gets a few more in. But inter, Juventus and Milan all look stronger currently.

Nah. Significantly past it manager. Wouldn’t even bet on him to make it to the CL positions.

Agent is stealing a living if he gets a good cut from that. I bet Roma wasn’t in the top 15 options when Dybala turned Juve’s last offer down.

Should be a good move — a player like Dybala needs a club where he’s basically the best player and all the space in the middle third is his and he doesn’t have to share the ball around.

I think Roma giving him a central role in the project gives more certainty about his chances of making the WC squad with Argentina.
You gotta admit, it's still a big drop off going from constant Italian champions and consistent European football to a team thats fighting for top 4.

I might eat my words if roma win Scudetto next season but I doubt that.

Mourinho and not having any top club offers I would think.

Would have thought a premier league team would be in for him though. He couldn't possibly agree high wages in a team like Roma.
Roma offered him €4.5M guaranteed up to €6M net if bonuses are achieved which is a far cry from what Juve were offering him to stay.

Another one that really fecked up and thought he had more stock in the market than he really does.

Must be regretting passing up Juve’s offer.

I genuinely think Dybala would struggle in the prem. I just feel if you aren’t physically strong or quick as a forward, then you need to have exceptional technical ability to compensate for it as a forward in the prem. Even though he’s technically good, I don’t think it’s enough.

What was Juve‘s offer? I think they agreed a deal initially (verbal agreement), but then lowered their wages and he refused to sign the new and worse offer.

Does no one want him in Spain? Sevilla? Atletico Madrid could be a fit aswell although don't think they'd be space for him and Joao Felix in same 11.

Mourinho is building an interesting team. They should get top 4 now. Napoli will drop out unfortunately

In Spain, teams like Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla or Betis are very tight with the FFP.

Why do you think he’d want to go there. It seems like he’s always wanted to stay in Italy.

Another one that called the clubs bluff on a new contract thinking he was worth more than he was, now he's playing for a team in the same league that is less likely to win anything meaningful after being a regular starter for a title challenging team.

Think he had his hopes pinned on a big move to England after United and Tottenham made him daft offers the other January.

He wanted Inter and they wanted him. But after surprisingly getting Lukaku on the cheap on loan and Mkhitaryan on a free, their interest in Dybala disappeared quite a bit. They were the only club that were very interested initially.
