Paulo Dybala

In all seriousness this is the last game we needed in the middle of a few days mulling over signing for us. AC Milan, a team mirroring our plight in the league he plays in and a team he’s played against numerous times and we are flattering them.

You wouldn’t blame him if he made his mind up on this game.

Physicality just doesn’t mean size, it’s also strength and the time a player has on the ball. It’s a very hard thing to judge whether a player will adapt but I do agree Dybala could well be a success but the 2 leagues are very, very different. I’ve said it before, Dybala needs to play centrally if he’s to be a success.
Of course physicality means more than size but 6 foot+ players have struggled with the Premier Leagues physicality before without such reservations prior to signing.

If he were 3 inches taller his ‘physicality’ would be a non-issue. He’ll of course have to adapt but so do all players.

& if we’ve bought him to play on the wing then his physicality is the least of my worries.

Surprised by this outdated thinking by the great Berba.

Dybala is ‘small’ but Fellaini is playing in China now for a reason. He’s centre of gravity & quick feet will be an advantage.

Also, David Silva is 173cm whereas Dybala is 177cm; if signed he may or may not succeed but his ‘physicality’ shouldn’t be the reason.

It really is a ridiculous comment from Berbatov. There’s endless evidence that if you’re good enough you’ll flourish in the PL whatever your stature.

If you bought him to play on the right his lack of experience playing there and his pace will be much more of a concern.

Chong is taller than Antonio Valencia. That's not the same thing as being bigger.

Dybala has the body of a 14 year old boy. That's more of the issue. His height is of secondary importance.

Agreed. I think the great Berba is calling him a little bitch but being nice about it. Good guy Berba

Dybala is currently getting his hair trimmed. Pogba got it done yesterday. There's a photoshoot and video coming up

On that regard that's fair enough. Physically he's not the strongest although Aguero is hardly Shearer either.

Aguero is strong as feck with a low centre of gravity as well, players struggle to get him off the ball without fouling him

Barber saying goodbye???

Basically official. Get the name printed on the shirt lads.

I was just thinking - is the reason Pogba wasn’t there because he was told to go hang out with dybala and make it happen?

Madrid doubala announcement video already, they don't feck around do they?

I think what Berbatov is getting at is that Dybala is a bit powder puff, shrinks if he gets roughed up and things don't go his way on the pitch?

Look at Mkhitaryan, he was looked strong but played like he was much smaller. It's not the size of the dog but the size of the fight in the dog.

So basically Mkhitaryan is a big dog with no fight.

I hope the Dybala announcement video tops the Sanchez one. It would be amazing if it did.

It would be rather nice if what follows tops it as well. Although I think the chances of that are borderline at least in any significant sense.

Berba knows a thing or two about fighting and sweating for the team

Personally I think it's an aspect that is overrated, the PL is very international and players take a little time or not but they can adapt.

I am more concerned about were he will be playing. He is suited as no 10. We all know Pogba does best in a 3 men CM

I dunno- I think Giampaolo is doing some good things at Milan. I think the team is moving in the right direction too. That aside, I’d say the lack of champions league footy is the big thing for Dybala so let’s crack out the Croatia flags and welcome Mario with open arms :D

Mkhi doesn't have the mental strength, has nothing to do with physical strength

Looking at this 'saga' so far from an objective point of view, it seems only a matter of time before he is announced. Juve obviously want him out and we seem to be the club who can give them what they want in lukaku plus a fee maybe.
Why is it we always seem to have such dramatic transfer windows. Nothing is ever simple and easy.
