Paulo Dybala

Just been readin reports on sky sports. Doesn't suggest Mandzukic and Dybala for Lukaku, it says Mandzukic as an alternative for Dybala.
It's Sky's lazy reporting as per usual. Why the hell would we swap Lukaku for Mandzukic when Juve value Mandzukic at around £15m and we value Lukaku at £80m. There is no chance on earth that deal would ever happen, not without Juve throwing a whole crap ton of cash our way too, and being left with a player they have no intention of keeping (Dybala)

How can Manduzic be involved in this deal without us exchanging cash with Juve? I thought it was already crazy no cash was exchanged for Dybala and it was a straight swap.

I want some of the stuff being smoked in Turin, that’s for sure. Would be a superb deal for us with players coming in suiting our system.

I don’t get Manduzic though cause he doesn’t fall under the “young” talents we were seeking. If that’s the case why didn’t we sign Toby from Spurs?

Looking positive. If we really come to this stage hard to see the deal collapsing now.
good point, but id take that di marzio article with a cautious mindset right now because he has taken the info from football italia (if they take news from dimarzio they always always credit him), who say the image rights are part of a messy legal battle dybala is involved with, and Gazetta say at the moment his answer to Juve re. Utd was no, hed rather wait for someone like PSG because they suit his style more

Well if he'd like to wait for PSG, then he's going to have a long, miserable season ahead... PSG would have to sell Neymar first, and there is no one (i'd imagine) willing to cough up the fee required for him!
He'd be stuck at a club that doesn't want him and likely won't play him

has anyone realized yet that if we get dybala we no longer have to rely on rashfords shitty freekicks? He is an expert set piece taker.

Then why wait till the last week to sign him if he was the only one we were after all this time?
Because Lester didn’t need to sell, putting us in a difficult negotiating position.

Similar to how we didn’t need to sell Rom, which is how we got to this point with the two Italian clubs.

Sounds like this is very much on from the Di Marzio/Romano latest.

I think people need to start putting a bit more respect on Lukakus name here the big mans scored 96 goals in 217 apps in the prem with West brom, Everton and of course ourselves meanwhile Dybala has managed 73 goals in 189 apps in Serie A for Palmero and Juve and you could argue Dybala has had the better players to support of him even! There both similar ages and both great players in there own right maybe Lukaku doesnt suit us right know but the way this swap deals being talked about youd think Lukaku hasnt hit double figures every season sense the 2012-13 season! I wouldnt be surprised if in the end big rom turned out to be a better signing for juve than dybala would for us if this was to happen!

Football-Italia.net:

According to Sportitalia and the Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United have proposed €11m per year plus bonuses, which is very close to the €12m plus add-ons demand.

It remains to be seen whether they’ll accept the rumoured €15m commission that Dybala’s agent is asking for, or indeed if La Joya will agree to make the move to Old Trafford at all, as he seems uncertain of the destination.

There is another problem to contend with, as the Corriere dello Sport and Tuttomercatoweb also point out Dybala is still in the middle of a legal battle.

He signed away his image rights to agency Star Image in 2016, only to then tear up the 10-year contract just 12 months later, at the same time that he broke off suddenly from agent Pierpaolo Triulzi.

They are still suing him for breach of contract to the tune of €40m, which includes interest, and paperwork was filed in Paris today with the International Chamber of Commerce.

If Dybala’s image rights are a subject of legal contention, it might put Manchester United off the transfer, considering how much of their revenue comes from merchandising.

There is also the matter of his contract with Adidas, which could be considered void if a judge rules Dybala did not have control of his image rights at the time of the signature.

Paulon!

Shows that things can change in a few days in the transfer window. Maguire done, Dybala close and Fernandes a matter of time. As far as incomings go, not a lot more we could ask for, maybe another midfielder?

Definitely a DM so we're not reliant on Matic

Possibley Mandzukic too

If image rights is the only issue we’ve got this in the bag.
It’s actually more complicated that it sounds. He is involved in a legal battle currently. Not that this might change things but lawyers need to be involved now more than ever to see if it won’t be a problem with his rights if they are transferred over to us. So that might take a couple of days.

So we know he’d rather stay at Juve. What I’m interested to see is how he spins this in his first official United interview ‘its the biggest team in the world and I just always thought I needed to play here’
Very difficult decision to leave Juventus, easy decision to join United.

The same one Beckham did when he went to Madrid.

Looks like a few more things to be sorted. I am willing to wait till the final day on August 8th if it means we can get this deal over the line on time

I'll reckon we'll know before then. Juve is pressuring all parties to get this done swiftly according to reliable reports.

Perhaps Lukuku should give Utd some bloody respect!

Lukuku is far from a great player. He didn’t suit Utd under Jose, let’s not jump on the narrative that he suddenly doesn’t fit the ‘system’ - unless there a Lukuku proof system which you don’t actually have to run or control the ball!

Simple - Lukaku is a #9 while Dybala isn’t.

I'm sorry all I can think of is that we have somehow sabotaged Juventus boardroom. Did they give Ronaldo stake in the club. On what planet do you contemplate swapping Dybala and possibly Mandzukic for that wet fart who couldnt trap a bag of cement Lukaku. Would be the most ridiculous transfer ever. Hell let's see if we can even through in Sanchez for goodwill
