Paulo Dybala

Sell mkhi, Get both, Dybala can also play as right forward, but best position is behind striker same as Ozil. Both certainly can play in same team.
it's not clear how we will line up but Ozil has some decent versatility and can play centrally or at right AM

I'd certainly prefer a more pacey player on the right but Ozil would certainly be an upgrade on Mata or Mhiki

I'm really unsure if he'd be a good signing for us under mourinho.

He would ideally be the #10, but he's definitely not a player that can contribute defensively whatsoever, so either Lukaku's forced back or it just doesnt work (lin my opinion, ukaku being asked to track back is fine, but his stamina doesn't seem that high either to be frank).

He's a really great player and genuinely world class already, but when was the last time a south american player shined at Utd? Furthermore, I feel as if hes a player who'd benefit from being surrounded by great passers, who in our starting XI, really only Pogba can be called.

I would love a player of his calibre here, but only if Mourinho genuinely thinks hes the best option, rather than another commercial signing encouraged by the board.

Not for me tbh. Quality no doubt but we need proven prem quality and experience. Whether that's current or players that have previously played in the league.

You know faith in the manager is low when people question if we should sign players of this quality because there is doubt if they will fit in.

If Jose can't get the best out of talent like Dybala, he's not very good at his job.

To be fair he's struggling to get an attack out of
  • Proven Premier league goal scorer
  • 1 x Golden Boy
  • 1 x Golden boy + World team of the year
  • 1 x 2nd and 3rd play Golden Boy
  • 1 x Most assists in Bundes before he came here
  • 1 x World Cup winner (albeit didn't do much)
But still, he has the players here

If Dybala is our no.1 target, I can see us transitioning to a 433 and don't see us getting Ozil but another Box to box midfielder which will free up Poggy. If it's all made up or Dybala doesn't want to come, I can see Mourinho sticking with his 4231 and getting Ozil and RW, most probably Malcom.

Tbh I'm happy with either, both will be a vast improvement attacking wise and both make us more unpredictable. Unless Mourinho goes balls deep and gets Ozil, Malcom, Dybala and a Box to box in order to play both formations for different games but I can't see that happening unless the owners or ed Woodward have threatened he will loose his job. Will be an interesting summer (can't see us doing anything is Jan, unless it's Malcom)

The issue with chasing proven premier league quality is that a player half the quality of dyabala will now cost the same amount.

Just my opinion, but this transfer is not going to happen in January and probably not in the summer either.

He'll end up at a Spanish club.

Do you think you'll spend the €350M it will likely take to land Kane and Hazard? I think if Timo Werner has a strong World Cup he might catch Perez attention as a more reasonably priced Kane alternative.

I'm not sure how much their stadium is going to cost but that sounds about right, I think they'll take a more structured approach to things though as the stadium is no use if they haven't got a competetive team to play in it..

Asensio to replace Bale, Hazard to replace Ronaldo and Kane to replace Benzema, you don't think Icardi creates enough?
He creates very well for a 9. But Benzema is a 9 that creates like a 10. Currently Giroud is the only other 9 I know who creates loads for his partners like a 10. Case in point how he made Griezmann a top scorer at the euros. Kane at times has shown that eye for a pass but Tottenham's current players don't make it show. IMO Real will only shift from that model if CR7 leaves.

Signing both of them is doable, but I think Ozil is a better fit if we're persisting with the 4-2-3-1. Dybala thrives more as an SS or false 9 with freedom to roam rather than being a pass-first/facilitator #10. I also think he'd be wasted on the wing and we'd be better served with an actual winger than shoehorning more strikers and #10's out wide.
We'd be fine with 2 world class inside forwards. Especially if we sort out our fullbacks.

I would like him to stay, but you never know.If they lose against PSG the season is over. He will have more room for being who he is, but even before they did not even pay attention to him to sign players.
Personally, I really like that a player is waiting for the club to do something.
By all accounts the current team is of his own design. He's enjoying more power when it comes to team building than any of our managers in the last 20 years, with the exception of Mourinho. Said he didn't want De Gea, and we pulled out, said Benzema was his man and we never tried to replace him, didn't like James and he's gone, didn't care for Pepe and he's gone, etc.

Far cry from Ancelotti telling Perez he didn't want James, only for Flo to sign him the next day..

As for Hazard, i agree it's cool that he's taking steps to facilitate a move, but i'd still take Dybala. Better scorer, more of a game winner

Just curious, would you class Salah and De Bruyne as 'Prem proven quality and experience' before they joined Liverpool and City?

Nope but I believe transactions were easier cause they had experience of it.

cut one of his feet off and he is probably still better than Lukaku.

But can't see him coming here

I don't know why you think Lukaku is the best option to compare him with. Slash Lukaku's head in a longitudinal way and he would still be better at heading than Dybala.

Dybala scored two headed goals for me in career mode the other day

This Premier league proven thingy is overstated. Few of the best players in the EPL are Premier league proven when they joined their respective clubs. The players you'd consider as last summer's best transfers are hardly EPL proven too.

Rom would be banging in three headers for you every other day if it's him. It's FIFA ffs.
I'm just saying, Dybala scored two headers for me in career mode which proves he's good in the air.

Well Lukaku doesn't score three goals for me every other game, and if you don't score a hat trick of headders every other game that proves you're bad in the air. So there.

I lose.

The game today showed that we're best in a 433, with Pogba as the attacking midfielder. Unless Dybala is equally effective coming off the left or right, then I dont see where he would fit in. I hope we dont buy him for the sake of a 'galactico' signing, and then wonder where his best position is. £100m (assuming that would even get him) would be better spent on another CM (like Jorginho) and a right winger (like Mahrez or Lucas Moura).

He would be great cutting in from RW onto his left foot. He often drifts right when playing for Juve and is very comfortable out there.

Martial - Lukaku - Dybala
.......Pogba - Fellaini
.............Matic

I’ve stuck Fellaini in there just to complete the formation, but obviously that spot can be upgraded.

Well Juventus is also an Adidas club so I don’t see what that has to do with him getting a transfer or anything.

Well you seen the circus when we signed Pogba.

Dybala would excel in an inside right position.

We would of course want better than Lindelof coming in from RB though.
