I don't agree with people laughing at this.
But it's a bit of a joke walking out that early. Amazing.

For what it's worth, even though there's plenty of muppets on the internet and especially in here, I don't think we have the worst fans by any stretch. Some of the best I reckon.

The fanbase became more bitter post Fergie, which is understandable. The lack of respect for our legends baffles me though.

I find it quite odd how much joy United fans are getting from Scholes failure, and how people are acting like he was wrong about Mourinho.
 
I was one of the few that thought Paul could do well, hold my hands up. Got it really wrong, that's a massive blow for him managing anywhere in the future.
I'm more shocked by some of the remarks in here than the abrupt resignation, maybe some can't remember how much he gave to United. Easily one of the most technically gifted player's to play at Old Trafford. Find it odd.

Scholes is a stupid pundit. His opinions are all contradicting and conflicting with each other. He criticizes the same thing and defends it later on, or throws the blame on someone then throw it on another one later on. Absolutely terrible pundit.

How the hell he spend the entire season criticizing LVG and his style then when he was about to get sacked in December he makes 180 shift and decides to defend him to stay ? I don't need to say he switched to slaughtering him again for the rest of the season.

This failed managerial reign should teach him that punditry doesn't mean he'll become a good manager.

Yeah, I mean even if he was wrong it's his bloody opinion. If a team is performing bad due to the opinion of a pundit then we have bigger problems. What makes it worse is that Scholes was actually hundred percent correct about both LVG and Mourinho.

Also, don't forget Ole was ridiculed not long ago for his Cardiff spell. Fans are just fickle. Fans cheering this one are not United through and through. What a shame.
 
Some of the comments on here are fecking disgraceful. People rejoicing in his "failure". Who knows what's gone on behind the scenes. But I know he loves that club, and this club, and he desperately would've wanted to succeed. As for him "talking shit" about Jose and the club after he left, he was pretty much bang on the money every single time. And half the people on here criticizing him, have said way, way worse than he ever did. It's just nobody cared about your opinions. I'm gutted for the little fella.

Well I agree about Scholes - he has always spoken his mind, and he was also right about Jose.

Neville, on the other hand, I am not so sure. He tried to stir trouble 5 days after our FA Cup win over Chelsea, saying that Pogba might still leave, that he can't be trusted for the long-term, that he will listen to his agent and create a ruckus. There were no news stories at the time about it - it was all from Gary's imagination. Before that in December, Neville asked him to 'do one' after Pogba's 'caption this' tweet. Sometimes, it does not seem that Neville has the club's interests at heart. He is too enamoured with his own opinions.

Yeah but you were defending Mourinho until the very last month and then cheered on his sacking so what are you not allowed to change your opinion? Should he be stubborn like Garry? And lastly it's his fecking opinion. Is this North Korea? Be happy someone got punished for voicing an opinion?

Worst of all, its because they wanted a manager (Giggs) who knows what United stands for. I'm not sure whether hiring Giggs would have been the correct decision or not, but surely they were a 100% right when they said that we need to be managed by someone who knows what the club is- the values and the ethos

We all rinsed sol Campbell for his walk out at notts county. This isnt much better. Being a legendary ex player doesn't make it more ok.

There are much, much, MUCH worse out there and we both know that.

Fact is, he constantly slated two managerial greats on TV, he took up a managerial role, has failed at it, it's to be expected some people throw jibes at you over it.
Anyone who puts themselves in that position, knows what they let themselves in for.

It's not so much loving it, it's people basically saying, "Yeah, not as easy as you made it out, is it?" kinda thing

It's happens regularly in every day life, not just football.

Me personally, I couldn't care less tbh. Oldham and Paul Scholes are not any of my main priorities

Probably because most of the “fans” on here weren’t even following United when he played.
Both Neville’s and Giggs get the exact same treatment on here, as does Roy “just a destroyer who can’t play a pass” Keane.

Feck me I’ve even seen Bobby Charlton get slagged off on here, because apparently he’s not the easiest bloke to get along with.

Some of these pundits need a wakeup call like this. They shape the publics opinion (sadly) and they never give the benefit of the doubt to managers circumstances etc.
It just so happens to be Scholes. The sad thing is there's every possibility that he, Neville and Henry could be realistically sharing a studio criticizing Pep for how he set up v Barcelona or how Klopp used his subs v United.

The issue here is the results under the caretaker manager were going well. Then Scholes arrived and they nosedived again. Forget about the meddling from the owners. Scholes wasn’t able to get a reaction from the players and dropped them in a worse position then when they were when he arrived.

If you think saying something negative about a manager immediately makes you want the manager gone, then the only idiot is you mate.
Hell, even if his opinion did change, it's allowed to.
If you make an opinion and then stubbornly stick to it you'll never learn anything.

Not too sure Scholes was saying management was easy, but as a pundit, his job was to give his opinion, whether we felt he was right or wrong.

We as fans do the same thing, especially when we lose. He should have played here, should have put so and so there, etc. Fact is, no one knows what managing a professional club is like until we do it. Doesn't stop us from criticising, though.

People used to laugh when Giggs was suggested. He’d have done better than Mourinho.

No I'm not a pundit who jumps to tell the media my opinions. We're just "fans". We talk about what we want in a forum no one will see or listen to us.

He's a pundit. He appears in the media and says things everyone in the football world hear. A pundit should have his opinion organized and stable.

Scholes just says things as he sees it that day. That's why almost all his quotes are conflicting with each other and contradicting them.

Just because he's our ex player I'm not going to say he's a good pundit. He's a terrible one.

I don't care about managerial greats. The fact is that they were not doing a good job at United and they were rightfully called up by Scholes.

If you want our ex players to constantly suck up to the club then there's a club in merseyside just for this.

Neville is an interesting one. He started off as a great pundit, i thought he was brutally honest and he offered a view from someone who's been there and seen it all. But then it felt like he tried too hard to sound unbiased towards us and it comes off feeling forced.
