Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

You've described Kante as well. He isn't just a defensive midfielder. He can definitely take on players and carry the ball forward. Why did you want Krychowiak, if people are off the mark with suggestions like that? I mean it's fairly obvious to want Krychowiak or Kante if Rooney is going to be a regular in midfield, especially if Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger can't improve, but your post sounds contradictiory to me. No offense. Pogba obviously make sense, but for him and Rooney to work, we either need a better defensive midfielder or the ones we have to improve.

Kante offers zero offensive or creative threat, I didn't add that in to Pogba/Matuidi's attributes but that is obviously a big part of the role as well. I wanted Krychowiak as the DM that sits behind Rooney and Pogba in the midfield 3 and protects the back 4. I mentioned Kante in relation to people suggesting him as an alternative to Pogba, not as well as Pogba. We'd have a midfield trio without a midfielder that has any creative attacking qualities if we used Rooney/Kante/Schweinsteiger. .

That's fair, but I think Kante offers a bit offensively, not as much as Pogba obviously. Personally I don't think we are going to get Pogba and Rooney will play as a #10 in a 4-2-3-1 at first. Schneiderlin could play Khedira's role, while Carrick and Schweinsteiger could share Xabi Alonso's role. Things could change depending on what kind of midfielder in terms of quality and attributes we are going to get. If we were able to get Pogba, it wouldn't surprise me if Mourinho sticks to the 4-2-3-1 with Pogba as a #10 and Rooney next to the defensive midfielder.

I honestly can't recall Kante making or scoring a goal last season, Drinkwater seemed the more attacking of the two, but if we just go with that 4-2-3-1 we wont be any better off than last season IMO, Schweini and Carrick are both past it and Schneiderlin looks like a deer in the headlights. I think if we do get Pogba and Jose tries him as a #10 it would be pointless, he needs to come from deeper like Lampard did for his Chelsea team, the 4-2-3-1 only works if you have a proper #10 or a quality SS.

What are you, the tagging police?
I just tried to make a little joke (although, not a good one) since his name was mentioned in the line-up.

You got several green smilies for the tagging police gag. :D and yeah the someone thing went over my head, I wasn't asking in the manner you seemed to think though, I was just thinking he must be someone that hates the idea of Pogba in that system or something. :nervous:

@Someone @Sied @everybody!!!

“What we want is for him to be in the best League". The Premier League?
And Mourinho referred to the PL as the best league in the world in Zlatan's welcome message... Coincidence?

Yes. Yes it is.

I hope we rather spend the 80m set aside for him and 40m for Mkhitaryan to buy Bale This year's winner of ballon d' fecking Or

Paddy Power suspended betting on Pogba going to United but that usually means nothing.

Ok, I though you might just be buzzing off the big win, I don't see Bale getting past MSN or Ronaldo personally.
Come on he's better than Ron now. Has been better than Suarez. The only reason why he wont fiish in top 3 is because of repetitive votig patterns based more on name than performances

I don't think he's better than any of the ones I listed, I reckon the next on outside those to land that trophy will be Dybala.

Better than Suarez? How did you come to that conclusion?

Was it someone on here that mentioned just how small the "next club" market is for bookies? IIRC the usual bets are a few quid max and if one outcome gets a couple of £80 bets they lock it down and make a big deal out of if for a bit of publicity.

Theres a few rival clubs ITKs saying we could get him, would it be enough of an open secret to put money on it?
If I knew it was a cert I would be straight down to the bookies.

Ok, not better than him but considering the award is generally given to a player whose team does well in various comperirions, Bale should be considered as high as MSN with CL and Euros SF

Yep, I put a few quid on Turan going to Barcelona at 2-1 and a few seconds later dropped to 7/4

Pogba will end up going to two of ten teams. He's got another 10 years at the top, which will make him 33. So he definitely has two massive transfers in him.

Bayern, Barca, RM, United, City, Chelsea, PSG...it's not even 10. These clubs can pay the transfer and pay the wages and should be compete to win silverware.

Spain (Madrid) and England (United)

Also, Raiola is at the club today with Zlatan and Henrik over the weekend. Sure talks have taken place and someone's heard something

Pogba might be/should get the highest wage package on his next team, or at least be close to the very top.

In this case, United's top wage maker is Wayne and the club has done a terrific job in "balancing" wages as proportion of turnover to 50%, or there abouts, which is a very healthy balance considering the annual revenue generated by the club. But I don't believe United would want to carry three 200K/wk players in Zlatan, Rooney and Pogba...unless the new TV revenue can afford it.

Simply put, the sooner Wayne can break the goal scoring record for United, the better of the club will be and the more options to get the next marquee player will be.

Last year we spent 46% of turnover on wages. We have plenty of space for a few more big earners.

I have a sneaky feeling we may blow Real out of the water with what we are prepared to pay Pogba.

I am feelibg extremely bullish that Lord Woody will get it done.

Trying not toget excited over a potential Pogba transfer, but I'm failing badly
