Pogba rumours won't have much of an effect on share price surely?

Either way, this is done. If Madrid were in, there is no way Marca would be saying that he is going to Utd.

It's just a matter of 'when' and not 'if' now.

Di Marzio wasn't wrong, technically
The share price has spiked this morning. The shareholders know something. Its happening, we can wank to this while waiting for the photos of Pogba holding a United shirt at some point over the upcoming days.

Our stocks seem to represent the mood in this thread. ON... OFF... ON

This is just so similar to Thiago and Vidal sagas, imagine the meltdown when Bayern announce they've reached an agreement with Juventus for a £33m transfer of Paul Pogba.

Thiago still triggers PTSD in redcafe.:lol:

However the big difference between Vidal and Pogba sagas, Juve's Marotta and allegri are silent. It felt like every second day that Marotta would deny the vidal reports. He's as silent as a mouse now.

neither were even close to been as far along as this one

In fact I dont think we even ever had proper negotiations over either of them

If this one falls through it will be by far the worse

Thiago had two offers and picked the other one.

The Vidal thing was a complete joke generated entirely by muppets. Every single indication was that there was nothing happening at all.

Good point. Marotta spoke a few times to the press - where have his comments gone? He's gone silent, but do we really think Journos have stopped asking questions?...

Are you sure about Thiago? Because the latest reports said that Giggs advised Moyes not to sign him because he is not a Manchester United player (ridiculous)

Yes, I agree, this one seems a lot more advanced and I think there's a good chance he'll sign. I can't help though thinking how massive the outburst would be if Bayern indeed agreed a bargain fee with Juventus.

I agree, and the simple answer is the right one. They are silent because the agreement is done. I actually think it's that simple. Ok yeah, Di Marzio isn't going to get every detail right, we all know that. However his whole crew have said it's up to signing of deals etc and it will take time. I don't see anything that has proved this wrong. It's just a waiting game and i don't think posters (not you Striker ;)) should impose their pre-determined deadlines as a sign of how likely or how close the deal is to being completed.

I'm lost with this saga now.

No announcement really seems imminent does it? Could drag a while yet, best get comfortable

Perez faxed over the latest propaganda he wanted published. Marca have thrown in the pog-towel.

Jamie Jackson, the Guardian's Machchester football correspondent was on Talksport this morning - talked about Sane of course and then was asked about United's transfer rumours - he talked about Fellaini / Januzaj but didn't even mention Pogba - has this gone off the UK press's radar now (i.e. not happening) or are they just assuming its a done deal so not even newsworthy anymore?

It's not newsworthy. Amoyal (Di Marzio's english translator) went on a US podcast, you'd think he'd milk the story so people went looking for the info on their site. He spent around 20 seconds reiterating it's done and they moved on straight away. It's so done that journo's aren't even bothering with it.

Can we have a new big rumour please? This one is worn-out. (I suggest "Ronaldo coming home? Part 27" or "Lewandowski - Woody make it happen".)

Seriously, where are all these "The deal is close as f***" twitter "journalists" now? At least Twitter tells us that he is flying somewhere.

They assume it's done therefore not newsworthy.

Last night on TalkSport they spoke about Pogba as if he was already a Utd player.

Jackson doesn't know shit. As clueless as you can get.

Journos aren't going to just repeat the same news if nothing has changed just to please people. As has been mentioned several times, it's done and just a matter of when now.

They can't say anymore. It was reported last week that the deal just needs to be announced. Should they just keep repeating the same stuff so you hear something?

Lad in work is getting really wound up by it all, he has been convinced all summer he is going to Madrid, suppose best way to be - not left dissapointed then.

Nah, if it's 2003, then I'm pretty sure it was him. I used to live on Planetfootball back in those days lol, and I distinctly remember us signing Abdulrahman around then. He had impressed in a youth tournament (might even have been the u17 world cup) and we signed him from there.

There is another Omar Abdulrahman who's around now, you might be confusing the two?
Ohhh ok... You must be right then... Your memory and enthusiasm for united is much more than me :)

There's a whole month left in the transfer window, just be patient, if we don't get him we'll get someone else and life goes on. What's the point in stressing out over it?
