Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

So he's receiving 10m euros from Juventus and 10m Euros from United. That makes it nearly 100m pounds.

BTW the English article on Di Marzio says clearly that United are paying a gross amount of 112m Euros.

All confusing tbf or I'm losing my mind.
This is what Romano, L'equipe and the independent are saying:
It was finally reported on Wednesday that United had met Juventus’s £92m asking price, and according to French journalist Nabil Djellit – who writes for L’Equipe and France Football, Raiola’s agent fee has also been agreed with United paying £20m and Juventus paying the additional £4m.
It means that United will pay a world record fee of £112m for Pogba, without taking into consideration his wages after he agreed a five-year deal on a reported £220,000-a-week.

Juve are paying £4m to Raiola, I don't know where you've got the £10m figure from.

Strange unless I'm looking at the wrong article. I posted it in a reply earlier to you. It clearly only speaks of 110m Euros of which Juve pocket just over 100m Euros since they have to pay Raiola cut and United will also pay Raiola a cut which makes the deal circa 120m Euros. Yeah, a bit confusing indeed.

Isn't it that Raiola gets 20 % due to the contract he has with Juventus? Now who pays this 20 % no idea. Probably half half?

In addition to that Raiola will get commission from us for the deal / agent fee, whatever. So is this included in mil 110 € or on top?

We will probably not find out about every detail for a while I guess.

Think it's more like 20m euros from us and 4m euros from them. Not an even split.

Shaw is a very good attacking LB so I think this should work. Additionally Martial will also be on this side (hopefully).

Shaw is great at attacking but I'm not sure about his link up one touch passing and moving(See Alves/Messi).Pogba and Martial on the other hand I'm certain will have a lot of fun together

I see where you're getting the €10m Juve are paying to Raiola from now, sorry KM but that €10m they're losing is to tax, hence they're netting €100m from the €110m gross fee. It's not because they're paying that to Raiola.

But would they have done it without knowing for sure that Pogba is joining us. They would have got confirmation from us or Juventus before releasing such an ad. Otherwise wouldn't both clubs especially Juventus object to this.

I'm pretty sure that they've asked both clubs and even Pogba/Raiola for their ok before releasing this ad. Otherwise they would simply risk their good relationships with the clubs, player and also their reputation as a solid brand.

As the Madrid ad is about 10 secs longer I do think there're still a few scenes we haven't seen until now and which will be released once the clubs come out with official statements (one way or another).

Adidas just starts doing what we've all been expecting: They milk the story about Pogba and his return to United. There'll be many more clips, ads, posters, campaigns etc. in the future IMO.

I still don't get that Adidas 'blah blah' advert.

I know Pogba's agent said something along those lines, but the advert almost seems to be mocking United (well, it came across like that the first time I watched it).

Can someone fill me in?

Oh boy this french connection would have fun and cause some trouble for a lot of defenders if all works out.
Shaw is still very young and just recovers from injury. I'm sure he'll develop well under Mou and I clearly see his potential to become one of the best WB's in the league in the coming years.

It gets increasingly difficult to not release my inner muppet though..

Reports on Twitter that Pogba has passed his medical stating their source from Munbdo Deportivo....not sure how reliable they are.

Will a mod give me extended posts till he signs/not signs and i promise i will only use them in this thread!

Not been sure about this signing since I rate several midfielders better than him in the world but now it looks like it's definitely happening, I am excited and am looking forward to him playing for us. I still think we're overpaying but honestly who cares, we've got him and that's all that matters.

They get the privilege of showing their brand to 600m+ fans globally with the United badge on it, of course we are going to reap rewards from it as its our fan base they tap into. Anyway - don't worry about it , just enjoy the football - that's our job :)
I'm not one of the ones concerned about how we make our money back, I'm confident we didn't do this deal without checking if we can afford it. Just can't see, even with the advertising side of things, that Adidas aren't going to want the majority of them shurt sale profits after paying us so much, else they'd never make a profit overall.

I actually don't care, just can't wait to see him bang in some of them scholsey long shots and make some defenses look stupid.

@Acquire Me was ITK about this that Juve will negotiate regarding Pogba and the club has already made a bid and that, this deal will eventually be done.
All of this well in advance and a lot of people called out on him but all of his statements are eventually turning true
We said in advance, if this happens then he will be our hero and although it hasn't happened as yet but I just wanted to thank him before this thread closes

That's great. And did he spill the beans? He did reveal his source Re: Jose, how about this one?

The adverts were shot and made way before this saga. It just so happens to tie in with this sage nicely at this moment. Adidas basically got lucky.

I've foolishly started to believe it'll be today :(

On the subject of the Adidas advert.... It was probably filmed way before the euros. However the only link to us being the banner and the clip of OT. It would have taken about an hour to edit those parts in. It was probably filmed with the Juve brand included originally.

It had Stormzy in it too though, who is a big United fan. That's what I find hard to explain. If this was made months ago, then they must have recorded Stormzy saying his classic "Shut up" line between then and now. I imagine Stormzy recorded it during Euros/a couple of weeks after it.

Some of the more respected journalists sticking their reputation on the line to say it's today has me hopeful, they've been hedging their bets with "soon" or "edging nearer" before but you can't really worm your way out of "Paul Pogba will be a Man Utd player today" as easily.

I see. Unless they specifically told Raiola to use the words 'blah blah' they got very lucky indeed.

Also, they must have done the same using Pogba with other clubs, not just United?

I'm just starting to think maybe we won't get a club announcement until he flies back, does press shots and an interview and such like.

I'd love to be wrong.

I think we have a similar train of thought, is he the best in the world right now? No but he has a very good chance of becoming the number one or at least top 5.
He instantly turns us into a title challenging side, we have a lot of what's needed the players showed they can keep possession but lacked a cutting edge which is exactly what pogba brings to the table.
I'm not convinced the likes of kroos or verratti would bring the needed qualities to make us as dangerous as pogba does
