Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

MUTV should do one of those documentaries about the players that kept Pogba out (Ando, Giggs, Cleverley, Fletcher) and were they are now

Crazy times those, although to be fair Ando and Clev even had me convinced they would be world beaters in those few opening games in 06, especially Ando :(

Yeah .... that was the worst... Becks leaving that year and Ronaldinho not coming .... felt so very bad
Yea it was a horrible feeling. I know we ended up getting Ronaldo, but no footballer has ever rivaled the skills of Ronaldinho for me.

What does the last bit about Juventus and Adidas mean?

Any Italian speakers to translate properly?

Un ruolo importante, in quello che è l'acquisto più oneroso della storia del Manchester United, l'ha recitato l'Adidas, sponsor tecnico dei Red Devils, che farà dell'ormai ex Juve testimonial globale insieme al Man United.

An important role in the deal was conducted by Adidas, United's sponsor who can now use Pogba and United as their poster boy (I don't know the word in English sorry)

Thank you :) Poster boy is correct

These characteristics are more than welcome as we have hardly any players who can motivate others in our ranks, we have been plagued with too many 'nice guy' players who aren't up to par, plus we have got used to them possessing a spine like jelly for the past few years.

Yes, very good to see some tougher players, we've been signing too many soft lads who aren't prepared to put up a real fight. Hopefully this installs the old fear factor we've missed so badly. Who'd have thought we'd be going into this season with Pogba and Zlatan lining up for us a few months back?!

If this transfer does materialise in the next 48 hours, Paddy has done some amazing work at Juve over the last couple of seasons.

Get that man an ambassadors role when he retires.

I was just gonna say. Maybe adidas stepped in to help us out with the deal. Maybe agreeing to pay his fee or something of that sort.

Honestly, I thought this was definitely on when the adidas tweet was posted. You don't mock one of your biggest clients during the middle of a transfer deal. It's all part of the hype train. adidas are going to milk every last second of this huge deal.

Agent Paddy  Legend!

Careful guys we dont want him to get lynched, there are spies everywhere!

Hes coming home, hes coming home
Pogba's coming home

rinse and repeat

Pogba is coming but the fuss made out of the likes of Chevrolet following him on Twitter is idiotic in the extreme. As if Chevrolet's social media team have an inside track on the deal... get a grip ffs and actually try to use the thing inside your head called a brain.

Yeah. That happened and I also thought, 'Hey, didn't Raiola say blah, blah, blah!' about Pogba joining us and yet Adidas say "Ignore the blah, blah, blah!" That tweaked my interest. Then Pogba's photo, then Steve Bartram following Pogba then Chevy following Pogba. All the news agencies and twitter hacks just followed after that. It was beautiful.

GDS say, slightly complicating the transfer is that five percent of the fee needs to be deposited to FIFA, which will be distributed to clubs who trained Pogba between the ages of 12 and 23 – since he played at both clubs during this time period, it remains to be seen how the money is distributed.

So United will get back some of the money :)

It wasn't just Chevy following Pogba though .. there was more to it and I am not talking about Chevy.

Almost every italian source have him at 110M Euros, by the end of the season rivals will say we spent 250M pounds on one player. Looking for to it.

You honestly think they will stop? Even if we sign him they wont. They'll keep finding ways to be pessimistic.

Every time he has a bad game:

His mind is obviously in Madrid and never wanted to come.

Every time he has a good game:

He's playing for a move to Real Madrid

All there is to all this 'follow' stuff is quite simple and it doesn't involve an inside track;

People connected to the club (ie. sponsors and United website journos etc.) are seeing the same reports as us and are highly confident that this is a done deal and have decided to follow Pogba on intagram/twitter etc. They certainly have not been briefed of the news by United - who quite clearly have the story on lockdown until they decide otherwise. All the reliable leaks have come from the Juve side. The reliable journos in the UK with connections to United have hardly got a sniff and you can be damn sure that they'll know about the deal before Chevrolet's social media team and the like - as is always the case.

So I guess this is happening and the Pog is coming back then. Happy about that.

Major sponsors don't need to refresh RedCafe to follow the latest developments, and I doubt they would follow potential new signings off the back of a report by Di Marzio. The higher ups at Chevrolet and Adidas will know what's going on with Pogba due to their sources at United.

Pogba's twitter account is strange, isn't it? It says "Proud to represent @adidasfootball across the world!", but the pic shows him in the french Nike kit. (Maybe it's part of his old deal with Nike that he still must have such a picture.)

However, the most terrible thing in transfer window are these twitter "journalists" and their speculations. "Believe me... a source of mine... I was right with Bale, believe me..." It's like the oracle of Delphi. With more drugs.

It will happen, it seems. And I expect that the contract will be that complex that some will say Pogba costed us 110 mio. Other 150 (with bonus, etc.)

One thing Woodward has shown himself to be an expert at is securing fantastic sponsors for the club. One can only imagine what he has lined up 'in association' with Paul Pogba. Buying his image rights, we're going to see an absolutely massive surge of Pogba-related promotions, deals and sponsors.

He'll be kitted out like a Formula 1 driver's racing suit.

Ando seemed so good then.... I mean, he was actually one player who could run with the ball and we didn't have that kind of player for a very long time. Strange how he faded away.... Still have a soft corner for him and I don't know where he is right now but I really hope that he does good

Ronaldinho is still for me the most skillful player of this generation. I know Ronaldo, Kaka and Zidane were amazing and had wonderful output but skill wise no one matched him
