Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

It's interesting how split this thread is between the "done deal" crew and the "Madird have got him" posse.

Any chance we could get a "Which club will Pogba sign for?" poll to replace the existing one, which is pretty old and tired now?

The Madrid links are just journalist filler articles to keep the clicks coming while the details are ironed out.
Oh come the feck on. Honestly its like reading posts from that Iraqi foreign minister guy in the Iraq war.

Pilib De Brun knows as much as every other Utd fan - feck all.

Not saying that Real Madrid can't sign him, because obviously they can sign who they want.

But let's not lose our heads over that nobody's Tweet.

The negative posters are so certain it's funny.

We'll see over the next few days.

Starting to think this guy is chatting shit. He said Pogba would be a United player by now and a deal has been agreed. He's backtracking.

Or covering all bases so he can say he knew before hand. Most likely though is it is just click bait, which 95%+ of the Twatters out there are doing right now. There might be a total of 10 people in the world that know exactly where the situation lies. The rest are just using the transfer as another opportunity to generate revenue.

Surely United can't fail again on one of these big transfers? They'd not only lose respected in the marketplace but also risk pissing off millions of fans worldwide. It would be a PR horror show.

But it was easy to see Madrid coming back in so we should've hurried our ass instead of sitting around like we usually do on these big transfers.

You're creating a vast world of nonsense out of crumbs left by dodgy journo tweets. We actually don't know what is going on until either of the clubs or Pogba publicly say something.

The funny thing for me is, Madrid are benefiting from the nightmares caused by Bayern. We lost R.Sanchez, Vidal and Thiago to Bayern when it looked very much like they were going to sign for us. As far as im aware, we are yet to be gazumped to a transfer by Madrid - Benzema was no saga, he begged to go there and was announced pretty early.
Yes. Bayern are the ones who have swooped in at the last moment and stolen our targets. Even Benatia was linked to us before he went to Bayern. Most of Madrid's signings were always destined to go there and we never had a chance. Maybe Varane is the only player we genuinely had a chance to sign but even then Madrid's interest in the player was known well before. But that doesn't mean anything as far as the Pogba transfer is concerned.

I honestly don't believe Fergie would pay this kind of money for him. That's enough for me.

Of course he would never pay this kind of money because it would be admitting to one of his biggest blunders as far as players go.

United have a history of making a mess of high profile transfers. Would be no surprise to me if we can't get this over the line.

If only he's of to Madrid crew would get their facts right and not spread always the same nonsense.

"Its obvious he's going to Madrid."

How is it bloody obvious?

We will when Di Marzio gets his info.

The whole reason they got Benzema was because they failed to sign David Villa the week before. We were in line to sign Benzema to replace Ronaldo.

The most annoying thing about this is that we've possibly passed up on fecking Sanchez to chase this guy.

I agree, I would have rather have bought Sanches. He's much better value for money. He's also younger and looks as good as Pogba (admittedly, from my limited viewing of him)

1. How was it easy to see Madrid coming back in? Infact reports said that United were the only club who could afford him.
2. You have no way of knowing if we have been sitting on our ass. Reports say we have put in an offer worth 92m (a world record fee, if true). Raiola's fee has been the stumbling block. Maybe we just decided not to go beyond a certain value?

OK it's fake but it made me laugh

edit: wtf?

Never been so indifferent to a big transfer before. Don't care if it doesn't go through at all.

Basically every report mentions it. I guess they're all lying. Have you seen the contract?

No I haven't, why would I have seen it. You actually believe all bullshit journalists on Twitter though? They've spouted utter crap for weeks and weeks and weeks.

You dont think De Gea wants to move back to Madrid? Do you think he is pushing for a move? Did he push for a move last summer?
There's a bit difference, DDG was a United player but Pogba is going to be sold anyways so he has to decide.

'Mourinho getting fed up with Pogba saga, believes Madrid have thrown their hat in.'

Now the above is a good piece of news because Mourinho is trying to end this saga by forcing the issue - take it or leave it Juventus. Now that they have spent lots of cash on Higuain they definitely need to sell Pogba.

Real could come in and get Pogba themselves - so what?? If he wants Real than he can go there but we'll not be held to ransom by Pogba and his agent!

Don't worry - we'll use the 120 Million and get 3 good players.

How can our club not know Madrid were not in for him if nearly every fan on this forum could easily see that for themselves. The pressure of Madrid should have swooped us to concluding a deal sooner, even if we would have payed more than we initially thought. Now we are stuck in a situation where Madrid can firmly come in because we haven't acted quick enough.

Personally I think the deal will be done by the end of the week but this type of stuff happens and our club should've known that.

They'll quickly come to a solution with Juve as they have assets that Juve are actually interested in (players). They don't feck about like we do.

You mean like how they took an entire summer to sign Bale, or how they took an entire summer to try and sign De Gea and ended up missing out because of it? Nah, they dont feck about at all.

IMO, paying that much for Pogba is a mistake. A mistake I'm surprised United are willing to make and a mistake I'd be very surprised to see Real make aswell.

I still think he's United bound.. the agent is just doing what he does best - milking the club.

This is a strange transfer. It seems like everything has been in place for it to happen but for whatever reason it hasn't.

He's the perfect player for us but if this doesn't get done in the next few days we need to move on to another target. The season starts soon enough and I do feel it's an area we have to sort out if we want to challenge for the title.

Its basically a win win situation for us. If we sign Pogba then we sign Pogba. If we don't we save about £100m and invest it on other players. We win either way.

The problem is here with all these ITK, people have now started to turn against them staying they don't know jack BUT when the next transfer saga begins they will be quoting the same ITKs and have there cocks out! Until any deal is either tweeted by the official Utd account or on the official website I don't believe anything I read

I don't think respect is lost/gained that easily regarding transfers.
But if it is, United lost respect a while ago, never mind now.
