feck Madrid. Detestable club.

Can't believe how many on here yet cheer them on when they play Barca.

Fantastic if true.

La stampa is their local paper right? Shame how poor Manchester local papers are, always last to know.

That's pretty much it. Why should they sell him for less to Madrid when they get much more from us. Not gonna happen.

Exactly. I'm sure they'd prefer selling him to us rather than Madrid as well. They'd be strengthening a direct CL rival.

My feeling is Perez is feeding the media (AS and co) and giving Zidane false hope while knowing full well that hhe cannot afford to stump up that amount

Basically Perez is stringing Zidane along.

Have hated Real since their public tapping up of Ronaldo in 2008.

I wished we didn't sell Ronaldo to them.

AS lied about that medical too. Pretty sure I read the doctor reported to do it in Miami flat out denied it.

La Stampa - by Nerozzi makes it reliable!

100M plus 15M for Raiola makes it a good deal considering they wanted 120 + 25 for Raiola!

To avoid paying the prick of an agent, could we buy a shit youth player for 120m instead and they give us pogba on a free?
Think riaola owns a % of pogba and given 3rd party ownerships aren't allowed in the PL, we have to buy his share out anyways. Not sure if I'm right though

I'm guessing Raiola's commission counts towards the total fee? Or is it just the money received by Juventus alone? 100m euros works out at 83m pounds at the current rate, so wouldn't be a world record.

It's not commission, he owns 20% of Pogba's playing rights.

30m saving isn't too shabby.

Even at such an extortionate level, negotiating will have been worthwhile.

The spare change could go towards the CB many people think we need to really compete.

Yes the price is €115m and a percentage of that goes to Raiola.

For all we know this deal was tied up ages ago and was dependant on Juve getting the rest of their business done. Considering United have made Raiola a considerable amount of money via Mhiki and Zlatan I really don't think he would suddenly burn his bridges with one of the biggest and richest clubs in the world.

You know what, I have a feeling journalists always had that wrong. Raiola has a 20% sell on clause, juve wanted 120m, 20% of 120 = 24m. Its more sensational to say 120 + 25 I guess.

Yeah real smart, Guess who negotiates Pogbas contract with us?

I actually think Real are missing a trick here. They're clearly pissed off that they've been priced out of the transfer and have been bitching and moaning for a while.

If they really wanted to get one over on us and get under our skin they should start pushing the narrative "Pogba is not quite ready for them yet but is a transfer they will definitely pursue in the future".

They want the player but they don't want spend more than 90 milion

Also they need something new to report or at least change the story a little with not alot happening while Juve were buying a player to appease their fan's. From when the original offer was rejected about a week ago there would not have been any updates until maybe today when an offer is accepted. That's a lot of clicks from us mugs missed.

I just hope we offered Mino 50% of the next transfer deal so we can slap another 75M € onto the price if Real comes asking for him in a year or two.

6yr contract with 450M Euro release clause will make him untouchable.

Certainly giving him a cut would protect against him running his contract down.

I don't understand why Zidane's comments aren't being taken more seriously

The fact he's said that shows that he believes Madrid are still in the hunt. They're hardly going to be put off by price. Whether they need to get it from the Government, a loan or borrow it from their Mums, they always find the money. And if Pogba is given the choice of United or Madrid then it's Madrid all day.

If United are serious about this, they're going to have to get on their knees and pucker up to that agents cheesey ass big time.

With all these social media/shit journo driven transfer sagas sometimes I really wish we could just make our own team of stars all british and irish lads with absolutely no interest in ever leaving for those cnuts in Madrid.
They need to be born first.

Only just saw the Zidane quotes. feck, they would have sent me in a frenzy if I didn't see La Stampa reporting we are nearly over the line first.

If we conclude this deal then we really should make a song and dance about how we fought off Madrid.

Seems like that's more or less that [Jinx avoidance ritual manoeuvre, mumbo mumbo...]. I am going to miss y'all in this thread. Then again, I'll see you in the next extended transfer saga.

Hopefully it's getting there now. This seems to happen regularly in this transfer "saga". Wake up to positive news then by dinner it's stalling then by the evening it's up in the air again. Haven't seen many posts from @Maradona10 and @Acquire Me recently, reckon you lot have scared them off lol.

..and how exactly will it be profitable for us? By 'slapping' another 75M on the supposed 115 we are paying now will take his price to 190 and we will get 95 out of it if at all RM pay that.

Ronaldo in 2009 said he wanted to stay at United for many years and he's happy there.

We all know what happened next.

Quotes mean nothing.

No we do it like Juve, we name the price we want and then add 50% on top of it. Like let's say we want 150M € for him but they also need to pay Mino, which takes the fee to 225M €. Italian math, dude. ;)

btw I wasn't entirely serious about the 50% to Mino, if I had my way we would write into Pogba's contract that he needs to fire that leech.

It will put Madrid off?

Its sadly true, biggest story of the summer. AS are getting more traction and views from outside their target audience than they normally would. But I knew the numbers were dodgy from the get go. I kept seeing 145m without a real explanation on the breakdown.

Madrid just want to be seen as relevant. You win the champions league but the following summer you lose a player you wanted - and it's a record fee to a club not in the CL? They'll be butt hurt by that. Perez and Zidane are bound to have waisted many a Kleenex while scouting best of you tube compilations. Let's just get this over the line and then relax. And to people preparing their speech after he signs - talking about Madrid....don't even think it.

Word is, Pogba gets a share of that 20%. Its not all Raiolas money. But offcourse he is playing the villain whilst his client gets a free ride in the press.

Ya I sensed it might not be serious suggestion. If anything we should try to buy complete rights of Pogba so that if Raiola tries to engineer move in 3-4 years, we can name our price.

what an embarrassing paper.
