Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I'd be very surprised should this materialise, also I'm 110% confident this next move won't be his last.

If we want him we can get him. Pogba will be guaranteed that he will play week in week out which might not happen at Madrid.

Yes we dont have Champions League and that's a massive blow. But we will be in it next year and if he wants the chance to win trophies in the most competitive league in the world he can.

It will be difficult to sway him from Madrid, but he does have some friends here that could help, and the chance to play under one of the best managers in football will put his mind to rest.

We might look like an embarrassment after paying a world record fee for a player that left, but i'm sure you wont feel embarrassed when we're lifting the title and hopefully the Champions League in 5 years time where Pogba is standing with the trophy.

We have fantastic youngsters like, Martial, Shaw, Rashford, Fosu Mensah and even Bailly that can be our core for years, lets add Pogba to that list!
eh? if they were to pay this type of money on a player safe to say he would be playing

Which is why, as I said before, I think Raiola would favour a move here. He can get a feck tonne of money from us and a good place to develop during the next stage of his career before finally sealing the golden move to Madrid when he's 27/28. It's a natural progression that has financial benefits doing it that way.

If he goes to Madrid now, it's feasible that in 3/4 years he could be looking at a sideways step or step down in wages when either he or Real decide it's time to move.

Whatever we might pay for him, if we were to actually complete a deal, it's likely he could be sold on at a profit to Madrid in 3 years time.
If we're spending this kind of money on a player his age I imagine we'd never sell him for any price.

Someone needs to photoshop Pogba in a United shirt.
White text.
Not the best photoshop but...

I think both Juventus and Raiola are asking exorbitant amounts. Raiola is interested in starting an auction without too much concern that his client look like a mercenary.
Madrid should make a firm offer of 100 million euros. If the player really wants to come will have to do his part and put pressure on Juventus with our offer. Above those amounts I would invest in strikers or attacking players , who are really worth that money.

I hope we sign him, put him in the u21s and tell him he would play when the time is right. Then when all our midfielders are inevitably injured (we are United, we aren't kidding anyone), we play the 2016 aquivalent of Rafael and Park instead: Varela and Jones.

The word is that Both Man Utd and Madrid have an idea of Juve's valuation. Something Man Utd have indicated they're willing to meet but Madrid have so far resisted.
Raiola is meeting Juve on Monday. I don't think he'd be meeting hem without a firm offer from one of the clubs. (I suspect the club is us). I think Madrid have to make an offer soon or they will lose him.

If our history with Pogba and his agent has taught us anything, it's that Raiola will do whatever it takes to agitate for a move with his players. It's only smart to consider the next move before agreeing a deal, and Pogba is a player with an exceptional sell-on value, which makes a massive transfer fee easier to sell to the owners.

Kante for me, is no better than the player I believe TFM can become with the right investment in him. I don't think we should irresponsibly trust youth, but I don't think Kante is a specially gifted player, and TFM has a similar engine, also a great tackler and ball winner, and just needs time.

Agree with most of this. I think we should maybe trust Schneiderlin and TFM for that role. Expect to see an improvement in Schneiderlin and hopefully TFM can show us what he can really do. Although I will say that I think Kante genuinely looks like quite the beast.

For what I've read and heard on radio ... Madrid wants him but Florentino is not quite convinced. The club don´t like much the personality of the player and is not willing to pay Juve or Raiola what they want.
Besides maybe the players are wary that he arrives earning so much and thinking about being the leader of the team.
United 's offer seems firm but do you think the player wants to return to United? Mourinho factor will be enough?

I think he will end up at Madrid mostly because of Champion league, its the bidding war wanted by both agent and selling club,we might end up empty handed but certainly jacked up the price. Its wise to look on alternatives.

Well according to the Guardian he is more interested in joining a traditional big club like Madrid, Barcelona, United etc rather than City, PSG, Chelsea

Mourinho is believed to have made a bid of €90m for Pogba last summer while at Chelsea only to be put off by the player’s wages and his preference for what he considers a “historical” or traditional club rather than a nouveau riche one.

If that's true and Real/Barca don't show proper interest in him then he could probably be convinced to join United. He's won 4 Serie A in a row at Juventus and a new challenge might appeal to him now also

I think Madrid are his first option and he will wait till Madrid decide before he moves.

Jones makes sense. More like Varela and Young.

I personally no longer care what fees are paid for players anymore, in a years time or two years time they look like bargains. 37m for Hazard seemed crazy at the time, 50m for Martial seemed high, 80m for Ronaldo was just ludicrous, even 85m for Bale seemed silly but has paid off for them. The fees and wages are a business decision made by the club to recoup shirt sales/titles/sponsorship money. If they deem X amount of pounds an outlay that they can recoup through a multitude of avenues and it brings team success (more money) then they will pay it, if not they will walk away. When City spent "crazy" money on so many players to build their squad most people laughed, you look back now and it seems like smart money. I'm happy for the club to spend whatever money it wants on the right players, the only time transfer fees are brought up is when a player is struggling and underperforming ala the 60m on Di Maria etc. When the titles are flowing no one mentions how much Ronaldo/Bale/Benzema/James/Kroos/Suarez/Neymar cost..

He's still young enough for one last big money move before Real/Barca. Ideally you'd want him to stay at United until he retires, or at least until he's 30-31, but we all know this is Raiola you're dealing with. Plus Pogba just seems more the type to enjoy the Spanish lifestyle rather than Manchester or even London. Getting him now, then selling him to Madrid/Barca after 2-3 years, ensures you'll get him at an age where he's hungry to prove himself and you'll get your money back.

I know there's a phobia here about becoming Real and Barca's feeder club, but this is the ideal scenario IMO.

How do you know he enjoys the Spanish life? You speak to him daily?

He spent his career in Turin and Manchester. Hardly London and Paris.

People seem to think that he is arrogant because of his stupid hair cuts. From what I read about him he seems a very grounded guy.

Raiola may push for a move or as long as we keep paying him and he won't. Raiola isn't stupid too.

We might get him. I don't buy into the hype of players playing in champions league or bust. This summers euros and copas as well as the Olympics and preseason tours.... Maybe it's appealing to have a season where we can work on gelling and winning the league. Then make that run the next season and win it all. Sometimes breaks are nice and aside from the money the teams make... Unless you are going to win it all, it's pointless.

Judging by history, Madrid have the same chance as winning the champions league as us next season!

As no team has ever retained it and I expect that to continue.

You base your opinion on what you read, I do the same. No need to catch feelings about it, Pogba doesn't care about any of us here

I read that he's a grounded lad.

You said he enjoys the Spanish life with no proof. If he goes to Madrid I won't begrudge him. It will be for footballing reasons and playing under one of his countries biggest icons. Not because he enjoys the Spanish life.

Mine is based on what I've read... and yet I have no 'proof'?

Why is this such a big deal to you? who actually cares about a footballer's personal preferences, unless it's an extreme case like hard drugs or screwing their brother's wife or underaged girls? Why the need to defend Pogba when no one's attacking him in the first place? You're taking this way too personal.

Barca doesn't have the kind of money been mentioned in regards to Pogba
