Maybe that what United are waiting for... I mean how can the worlds most expensive player not have the most posted ever transfer thread on the cafe?!

We should be ashamed if po6ba signs and we don't give him that honour!!!
All part of the masterplan

He's clearly going to sign for Madrid or stay at Juventus guys. Just forget about Pogba, it will hurt much less when the window is over. Give up, it was never going to happen.

All you negative folk - get the feck out of this thread. Seriously, it wouldn't be so bad without your constant negative bullshit. If you can't hack it, fine - but leave people be.

I think you're taking the piss now. Fair enough if you feel it adds to the fun and I guess it even adds to the post count for breaking the Vidal record.

Of course it matters not since his agreement to return to United will very soon be made official.

So when Pogba does sign for us where does everyone see him playing?

If Jose plays his typical 4231 will he play as the 10? Or as a box to box in the 2 in midfield?
Well if that white board is to be believed, then he'll play in the 2

Good question mate. He was vey quiet during the Euros because he was being asked to play a very disiplined role. We'll need to give him a certain level of freedom to get the best out of him.

I would like to see him play the furthest forward in a 3 man midfield, but it certainly looks like he'll be a no.8 with Rooney starting the season at 10.

Weird thing to say considering this is a done deal already bar the final announcement.

Your positive thinking gives me hope. I will also believe. Last time I believed it was Vidal and I was hurt very badly. This will be even worse. :(

Yeah, not sure where else he could play given that Jose has already said that Rooney will play at 10

Hopefully playing in a 2 wont take away from his best attributes, although he can play in a 2 he's a much better player when he has license to roam forward.

Can't really see any of our current players being able to hold the midfield to allow him the freedom either, ideally you'd want a Kante/Krychowiak kind of player beside him.

IMO we'd be smart to offload a couple midfielders as we're stacked in midfield and using the money to get that kind of player in.

There's surely far too much smoke without there being a United type fire at the end of it all. I am so hoping for a "Welcome BACK to Manchester" banner going up in the town centre in the next few days!

That would be great:drool:

Also it's irrelevant that newbies couldn't post in the Vidal thread, this will be the biggest thread ever and that's all that matters!

Why are loads of people on Twitter saying Real are close to signing him? Based off that pie in the sky article in Marca today, or something more substantial?

Just incase Real Madrid decide to dig deep and take Pogba, then at least Kanté and looks like Mahrez leaving Leicester could cause Drinkwater to look elsewhere too.

I know he was on our shortlist of players that fit "the profile" José is looking for but if our last few seasons have thought me anything then it's to expect nothing and you can't be disappointed.

Oh believe me it's only fairly recently I've come round to this way of thinking. I mean I wasn't wholly negative before just relatively sceptical regarding the chances of signing him. But over the last few days there's just been way too much being reported to make Pogba's return to Old Trafford anything other than a certainty.

It really is just the 'Real Madrid will steal him away from us' nonsense that irks me That's the one thing that ISN'T going to happen.

But I share you're pain over the Vidal saga. It was a real tragedy. Hopefully this will more than make up for it.

Wow from Pogba to Drinkwater. Now that would be a comedown
