The Sun caught him smoking what looked like an e-cig a few days ago (which is a vaporizer and easier on the lungs). ANd now I suppose they are implying that he is explaining that to his agent with the hand motions. I take everything they write with a bit of salt, but the photos seem genuine and recent, like a few hours ago recent.

Smoking isn't that big a deal. The media vilifies it for taxation reasons and all but is it really all that bad from getting drunk? I dislike smoking myself but the hate it gets in current culture is exaggerated especially considered how other substances are considered 'alright' in small amounts.

Wtf? Of course not. Smoking and drinking are detrimental to an athlete (who is paid millions to stay in as good condition as possible, goes without saying you stay away from stuff that are toxic to your body)

There are plenty of ways to have fun without smoking. It has a massive impact on your health and thus performance. Comparing it to having kids is ludicrous.
He does it for two reasons - His dad was an alcoholic and he lost his life that way I think and he regularly donates blood.
I know - and it also falls in line with him being the consummate pro and taking care of his body.
