Do you guys really believe that Madrid has sat around going like

I'm betting that the late Real contact (if there is any) is to put a little bit of doubt into Pogba's mind.
It'd quite likely be another case of reject United and wait a season or 2 and we'll come in and sign you regardless. When they signed Ronaldo and Bale, they were getting two players, incredible players, that would make an absolute immediate impact. I dont see the same thing with Pogba. He's not quite world class enough for them to consider a €120m bid.

Then again, it could be a case of revenge for the whole De Gea saga...
 
Di Marzio says Real are offering 8-9m Euro salary. If Madrid get their bid accepted, Pogba can choose between United and a higher salary, or his (alleged) dream move with a lower salary. I know which one I think he'll pick.

I have no confidence in this whatsoever, as you can probably tell.

Yeah, is pure clickbait. In Spain nobody is reporting this because everyone knows that Gomes is closer to Madrid than Pogba to us.
 
I think Di Marzio off late has been BSing a lot. There is absolutely no way he can know daily details this way :lol:

The amount of money we're supposed to put in was putting me off. But then I remember how much players like Carroll and Sterling have gone for and the numbers don't matter that much
 
Are people actually believing Real have suddenly come in. Its just twitter talk, no way of proving it unless a legitimate source report it

It sounds absurd doesn't it? But then again, look what happened with de Gea. I can't see the Madrid links being true, but we'll see in the next day or so.
 
Why are people worried about the di marzio news if in the same breath he basically says Pogba said no to them?
 
I believe that any alleged interest from Real Madrid would have been followed up or preceeded by a few propaganda tweets and articles from their mouthpiece Marca to muddy the water.

There's two scenarios. We sign Ronaldo and everything plays out like it did.
Second scenario. Ronaldo leaves United at 20 years old and we have the option of buying him back for 100m at 23.
Which do you choose?
This was an almighty balls up from the club but funnily enough this is the only scenario where we could actually have Pogba in the prime of his career.
There is no chance Pogba would have stayed post Moyes and LVG. He would have been wasted ala DDG and missed out and having him be an asset in a Jose team
 
Not only did we outbid them, Pogba straight up rejected them too.

I think Mourinho is looking to knock someone off their fecking perch.
 
Just this Madrid back in shite combined with that Real lass, who is currently with Pogba, saying not to believe what the press are saying.

Not even twitter talk it is literally just di marzio. I dont think he is lying or untrustworthy, but like you said its impossible to prove, and Madrid aren't going to come out after this and say yes we tried and failed a last minute hijack bid. He's just making this sound dramatic and we wont hear any more news until tomorrow

I was just thinking the exact same thing... Marca would be all over this. They'd make sure the whole world knew about it and quickly. Especially as the contact was reportedly made "in the last hours", more than enough time for them to get the news out there. Plus, Real would get word out just to annoy United, it's just something they'd do, being the arrogant pricks they are

Because some have been impatiently waiting for days for any mention about Madrid so they could complain about how they knew they'd come and steal him and a little detail like that isn't going to stop them now.
